There are a number of things that I want to see, the ones I want most are:
-Character customization (to some point)
Even if it's just hair, I don't care, just something there so that not everyone looks the same
-Gold economy
I wasn't a fan of the D2 economy, gold was worthless besides repairs. I have no idea how they would do it, however.
-PvP
Some sort of new system.
-Guilds
Maybe even guild battles, etc.
There are many more that I can't think of at the moment..
