posted a message on Skill Points Removal Fuels Game Controversy
Once again Im just going to have to ride this out and see how it all pans out in game. Maybe what we all remember and love about D2 isn't required to have a great time in D3. We shall see....

posted a message on Which Class to Play?
I was leaning toward Witch Doctor for a long time but the more I mulled it over in my head the more I wanted to roll a Monk. For a Hack and Slash game I'm going to get more enjoyment out of a melee character, but I'm just not a Barbarian at heart. I'm hoping the Monk will sate my appetite for up close combat while fitting the playstyle that I'm comfortable with.

I just wanted to say thank you and try to explain how awesome these writeups are for me. Thank you to everyone who runs this website for constantly keeping us up to date on the progress of D3. It makes me so excited when I start imagining what this game is going to be like when it's released.

I don't need giant glowing shoulderpads on the monk.

Ya he just needs a giant glowing cod piece

I could live with that. LOL

posted a message on A major hesitation I have about rolling monk.
I think there are people who are attracted to crazy over the top armor and there are people who also enjoy the simple yet effective method. I believe the monk and people who are enthusiasts of this type of class will be very happy with the art style as I am. I don't need giant glowing shoulderpads on the monk. I think his robes and beads look amazing.

I was always going to be a Witchdoctor but the announcement of the runestones just makes me that much more excited to see how it affects the Zombie Wall skill :D

posted a message on New Skill System Poll
Voted Other. I'm thinking it may be a type of "book system" like Sacred has. You have a random chance to get skill books to drop and would limit the use of gold, because you would want to trade books of another class for books that you can use. This is all just speculation though.

posted a message on Will D3 Make History?
I think Diablo still has a very large fan base. I know some of my friends are disappointed with the direction it is going (since they are die hard D2 fans) but I am very excited about the game and know they will play it with me anyway. I've been playing D2 again and just can't wait for a modern version of my favorite game from back in the day. The original Diablo changed my life and the way I viewed multiplayer gaming. I hope that D3 has a chance to show a whole new generation of players what it is like to dungeon stomp with your best friends.

posted a message on Level cap?
I would prefer a max level. I like being able to set a character aside for a while and start something new, but still able to go back to my high level char and help my friends out.

I would LOVE to see some specific content designed for higher level characters to give you something to look forward to afer beating the game on all difiiculties. There should be some insanely hard areas that you would need a bunch of friends to even get through, and would have to be say over level 50 or something like that.

Anything to add re playability to the game will be a good thing.

posted a message on Will Wirts Leg make a reappearance?
How long can that damn leg hang around? Did someone bronze it or something? I love to see references to past games in newer ones. Blizzard has always been doing it and I assume there will be tons of easter eggs in this new game.

posted a message on average game for D2 1.2 players - JW IS WRONG
I like to play D2 multiplayer legit and no rush. Rushes take all the fun out of this game. I like looking at drops, killing monsters and challenge. I know the normal difficulty is a breeze, but you and 4 or 5 friends doing Hell difficulty is a really fun time. Anything that D3 does to promote partying is fine by me. I can't even get people to join my games when I'm rolling a new character because there is always "no rush" in the title. I'd like to start on a clean slate in D3 and hope that the community really embraces the new features. Multiplay dungeon crawling is what Diablo is about for me. I can't wait to once again be a part of the Diablo community that is thriving instead of isolating itself.

posted a message on Wondering about health orbs
I like the idea of pots being more rare, and the idea of orbs is a little strange for me. I agree that the rarity of pots would make you think before you act and possibly weigh out your risk vs reward. A little more Hardcore never hurt anyone right?
