Very interesting indeed.
Thinking about the trophy case...
My UDIE2 mod editor has an item store in it and it has all manner of odd things that you can't put in game. Such as an ear, tail, fang, horn, elixir, etc. There are also some quest items in game like the golden bird, the organs, horadric scroll, etc.
Maybe that was supposed to be a vault to keep the items after you've completed quests. As for the items that never made it in game, maybe they were things that were cut due to "time constraints."
Regardless it still doesn't explain the chat gem. -,-

I think it would be great if they had a My Little Pony Secret Level but I don't want a t-shirt like that. It is funny but nothing I would spend money to have. -
Oct 11, 2008viciousnugget posted a message on Character Stat AssigningDamn I don't even know what to say about this. This blows my mind and not in a good way. I always liked the fact that I could use charms and gear bonuses to give me the strength needed to wear my gear so I could pump my vita up. I always thought it was great to mow down hordes of monsters while some kid in the back is hollering "Where is your gear? Are you naked?" It was always a challenge to squeeze every last bit of strength from charms and such to make my toon fully strength glitched. I sacrificed precious inventory space to make my builds happen. I guess on the bright side now I can just load up on mf charms(if they even exist in d3) and mow through the hordes while Blizzard tells me what items I should wear. Pitiful what this game is becoming. Next up...auto skill distribution. This is a bad bad thing. I am having trouble seeing the positives of this system.Posted in: News

Who knows maybe I am wrong about it being on the wizard but it will surely be in the game. You can quote me on that.Posted in: News

Oct 10, 2008viciousnugget posted a message on New Class Announced: The WizardAww man this is killing me. I am at work and the firewall blocks all videos and links. I only saw the char selection screen. I already know what class I will be. Wizard. Hands down. I love being the caster class. My first chars were always the caster type. I haven't even had a chance to see what all this fuss is about but I am sure as shit I will be a female wizard as soon as I get this game installed. Now that they have satisfied me the hard part begins. Picking a name for my little chica. I can't wait to get home and watch the new gameplay vid and all the screenshots.Posted in: News

The longer I sit here reading the news and thinking about it, The less I look forward to playing it. I just feel like it will be so much different and not in a good way. I was so excited the day they announced it I couldn't get rid of my stiffy but now it seems the honeymoon is already over before there was a chance to acquaint myself. I can deal with the graphics, I can deal with the colorful environment, I can deal with new characters. I don't know maybe I just can't deal with all this negativity that follows Diablo 3. It's starting to turn me off. I can almost see myself just getting the game to beat it and check the story out then hopping back on D2. I may have to force myself to like it just to get through it.Posted in: News

Jul 8, 2008viciousnugget posted a message on Diablo III PK and PvPPosted in: NewsQuote from "HaF_613" »PK'ing and Dueling are essential parts of Diablo, Especially in HC where I played. It adds a certain fear and adrenaline rush to the game and keeps you on your toes... I don't think the Diablo I style PK'ing should be brought back, but definately keep the D2 style. I don't think the game would be fun for so long without the PK and "PKK's" out there. Its a whole other element and it was always one of the things that kept my heart beating fast. Don't take that away. It was fair enough to give people a chance in d2 and it should remain that way.
I agree playing on hardcore and being hostile definitely made my browneye pucker a little. I have been both pker and pked. You win some you lose some but it definitely added a certain element that is missing from alot of games. If people want to say it is a waste of time and detracts from the main point of game, I ask this. Isn't playing a game a big waste of time in itself? I feel it is. I have wasted many years on D2 already and one of the things I enjoy is being able to fight my friends as well as random people. The only kind of pker I am not fond of are the hacker ones that tppk. That crap is just cheap. However it is quite fun to have a hostile mf game. I hope they keep some form of pvp in the game even if it a certain area in town that you must be in to attack your opponent. -

What might the max character levels be?
What plans do they have for getting Beta keys out to people like me?
I'd really like one of those. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

As for getting bored with d2. Guilty!
I've taken off the last 8 months from the game only getting online to perm my characters. I decided to start a new character from scratch and got to level 7 and was bored to tears. I just feel like I have been there done that. I've tried so many builds, conventional and unconventional. I can honestly say that unless they bring a shit ton of new content in the new patch I will be very quickly bored and go back to Last Chaos. Sad but true. D2 has lost it's flair for me. I patiently await the arrival of D3 so that I may continue on with the story.

It is my understanding that each game has it's own team of developers, testers and programmers. Just because they'll put SC2 out first will in no way affect how long D3 is going to take before it is pumped out. They've said repeatedly that it will come out when it is ready, finely polished and to their standards. I agree with that stance. I don't anticipate that they'll put a starcraft developer on the D3 team unless it is completely neccessary.
As much as anybody else I am craving D3. To say that they'll shift focus more onto D3 doesn't make sense to me. They are very focused on it currently. I imagine the starcraft guys will continue to do work on that series fixing any bugs or glitches and imbalances when that game is open the general public and more is learned about the gameplay to a broader audience. If I am wrong please correct me.

Spirits, spiders, sharks, naked dead bitches...none of that shit scares me or even makes me wince but doctors....FUCK THAT!! You gotta imagine, serial killers and shit like to dissect their victims and whatever. Doctors are some sick ass motherfuckers that get their rocks off under the guise of helping people. Let me die a natural death unaware if my fucking heart is about to clog solid from eating too many baconators or whatnot. End rant

Haha! Seriously I have seen very similar situations take place in duel games. God that makes my sides hurt.
@OP When a character behaves in such a manner they are running some kind of duel bot. You almost get them and they pop a tp and town. It is annoying really. What gets my goat is they talk so much smack and they really aren't even playing. Some people find the fun in having no challenge or skill. As long as they are winning they are content. What I love is the legit dueler that shuts those asshats up. They're out there. Sadly I am not one of them.

Press the letter a or c then hover over the word "defense." It will give you a % to block. 75% is max.

Ok since you have the tal rasha set go with it for now. This is a build I used for my light sorc. The only difference that I have made was letting her block chance drop when I leveled her further. All points went into vita. My chance to block is at 49% and she still tanks a ton.
Armor: Tal Rasha's set
Boots: Waterwalks, Stormtreks or War Traveler's(Trav's for mf)
Rings: 10% fcr, strength any other mods
Shield: Lidless wall w/um for res or ist for mf
Weapon swap: Call to arms/ Lidless Wall
This makes for low requirements so you'll have lots of stats left over to pump up your vita and dex. I think the most str you need is 85 for Tal armor.
Merc Setup:For Holy Freeze merc get act2 defensive in Nightmare diff./ For Defiance merc get act2 defensive in Norm or Hell diff. Both work well. See which you prefer.
Helm: Andariels Visage/ Vamp Gaze
Armor: Fortitude
Weapon: Infinity-this is a must for the immunes
Skills:
1 Frozen Armor
1 Warmth
1 Telekinesis
1 Teleport
1 Static
1 Thunderstorm-this is entirely up to you. I for one like having t-storm. I even put more than 1 in it.
Max all these skills:
Charged Bolt
Chain Lightning
Lightning nova
Lightning
Lightning Mastery
As far as stats go.
Strength-enough to wear gear. note some gear suggested here has str, dex, vita bonuses
Dexterity-As much as is needed for 50% block.
Vitality-All the rest of your stats will go here
Energy-none
My sorceress is currently lvl 93 and has 248 dex so it may seem like a waste but trust the build. It has worked for me since I implemented it. My other sorcs were always very fragile until I made her max block.
Inventory: Is really a matter of personal choice
I have A Torch, Anni, Gheed, mf/resists scs, MF scs, FHR scs, Life scs
I don't carry skill charms aside from torch/anni
With this build I can kill everything and rush a full hell game. The most expensive item to get was the mercs wep. Tal Rasha's set can be had for 1-2 hrs depending on the trader.
I do 23k currently and I feel that is low because I put a few points into thunderstorm and have yet to max charged bolt. I also have a build for a 55k lightning dmg sorceress. It is pretty much same skills useage here except different gear selections and costs a whole hell of alot more. But why spend more when the cheap thing will do just fine?
I hope that helps. I made a few slight revisions since I posted this a while ago. All the info should still be relevant. Goodluck.

And when part of my experience is trying to trade the stuff I found legitly for things people bought online but can't because the item I found isn't as good as the "perfect" bot farmed item, what then?
It is through bringing these things to light that we can overcome them. Prevent the cheaters and the game will work as it was intended. Let the cheaters run rampant and the legit people are always a step behind. It is common sense that they need to take this issue seriously or it will become part of every one of our gaming experiences. You included, unless you plan to never trade and play through untwinked.

type /playersX x meaning 1 through 8.
It simulates the amount of people in the game without actually having the people in the game. It affects drops experience gain and monster difficulty. I always play single player on /players8.
Good luck finding your SoJ.
