posted a message on Act 4 Corrupted Tyrael End Boss
It would be a nice twist if we are fighting both the forces of heaven and hell to safeguard sanctuary, I doubt tyrael would go evil with the things he's been through already it would just be a cop-out to turn him evil at this point.

He could have just completely decided to break away from the heavens to protect sanctuary by his own accord because they are planning to destroy it once an for all to stop hell from corrupting it to there efforts so as to turn the tide of war, I would suspect that if such a thing happened that tyrael would want to stop them from achieving there goals, even killing some of his own kind to protect them.

posted a message on Multiplayer. Which style?
I would prefer the same system, I would rather the ability to be able to jump in and out of games quickly rather then a open world akin to a mmorpg where everyone is in the same world and your ability to move around by your own merits is limited cause of the structure adapted to the game.

Things like mythos and hellgate london were nice hub systems but they get very annoying specially when your trying to find people that are doing the same thing as you are with hundreds of people spamming the channels, its more hassle then its worth.

Nah I think adopting the share stash system hellgate london has/had would be a better idea with a mixture of the world of warcraft bank system where you can upgrade it with more space would suit.

I don't like the idea of a instanced style housing system in a action rpg, it would just feel very weird, they work very well in mmorpgs and even slower paced games like these but with a fast paced game like this you would want to get back, drop your items you want to keep off and move on, slowing down the game would hamper it.

project offset is there. I've been tracking that game for a few months now and there hasn't been any word of it for half a year and he says it's coming out next year.

mirror's edge? WTF?! that game is already out... this list sucks...

Actually mirrors edge for pc comes out next year in january so the list is correct on that, its a pc only listing so you are kinda stupid to say the list sucks because of you don't check these things :P

There's been no news since intel bought out project offset because they are developing a whole new engine for the game to make use of heavy multi-threading technology on the intel processors, since being acquired the only thing that been shown off in the last three months was a press only multiplayer preview at intels head offices unfortunately theres a very strict nda on it.

It probably won't make it out next year but adrians listings aren't meant to be a accurate release schedule just a way of showing upcoming games for pc gamers.

    is he reliable?
The lists are good but sometimes his information is wrong with dates, I've known the guy on gamespot for about 3 years now and he has always done a good job at listing the information but like I said though he does get the dates wrong from time to time, no one can predict delays or release dates without knowing the progress of a game.

posted a message on Worried about casualizing D3
I would say that the series was more a core game then casual or hardcore, it sat nicely in the middle giving you the best of both worlds, you could play it mindlessly or strategically, even if you had a broken character for the first difficulty it didn't matter you could beat it fairly easily, however once you reached hell that's where it became a more focused game where you have to actually know how to play in order to survive, if you didn't then you are one of those noobs that got slaughtered by anything that he/she came in contact with.

The series gives you the choice to think or not to even bother and in that gives you the ability to play it to your own style of gaming (however the overall gameplay is casual, very much pick up and play affair). The casual player dabble in the game and that's about it, the hardcore player will go threw everything to the end of hell and strive for the perfect item layouts to pimp there character/s to ungodly levels of power.

I think saying that the series is easy is about right if your playing soft-core because having no fear of death makes you pretty much invincible in the games, it doesn't matter how many times you die you'll eventually beat it. If your playing hardcore then its a very different story, one mistake can be your last without question, its named hardcore for a fricken reason :D

I am guessing that they will release a new area or boss in Christmas, and wait until March or April to release the next class.
They'll release a joke to us in april like they always do :P

REN, you simply got your info confused. Blizzard stated that SC2 will come out before DIII, not the other way around.
That helps, seemed confusing when I heard it as well considering which was announced first :D

    Quote from "Lachdonan" »
Well since SC2 has yet to be released, and Blizz most likely will not release 2 games at the same time, I would not expect D3 in 2009 at all. If Blizz were to release SC2(which is broken into 3 games) and Diablo3 in the same year, they would probably be around 6 months apart from one another.

So lets wait see when the first installment of SC2 will be released and then we can start making better predictions from that. The only thing we know 100% right now is that the first part of SC2 will be released before D3.

Didn't blizzard state that they'd release diablo 3 before starcraft 2 though?

That was my understanding from things I've heard anyway.

posted a message on So why exactly does Tyrael have spikes on him now... :(
Its probably just to make tyrael look more detailed then before. I wouldn't be surprised though if his armor was damaged when he destroyed the world stone, it left a big ass crater ffs and its not like he could come out without a scratch on him when he was at the right there when it went boom, maybe he just replaced his damaged armor :P

Ahh... The lost Horadric Scroll! What a fortunate turn of events... As the last living Horadrim, I alone have knowledge of its meaning.

Most the remaining Horadric merged themselves into mage clans from what I understand of the lore and the rest are all dead, passed on.

I think the most strangest thing is that cain is still alive after all these years, he was old in the first game but to be pretty much the same after the whole fifty years? somethings up with that.

Yeah sorry I missed the adventure information ;)

That makes me happy though thanks for pointing that out, went and looked it up on the diablo 3 wiki which shows how much information I did actually miss in the last update
