Sure, Act 1 is easy and runs can be done really fast but in the end if you want to farm successfully you simply have to find a way to get into A3 (even if it means sacrificing some MF)... just the way it is.

I was under the impression that many of the botters used compromised accounts...meaning they don't repurchase the game, they just steal more accounts.
