posted a message on Website or Game NOT working wtf??
    Blizzard have tweeted:

"The #Bnet connection issues continue to be investigated. As the issue is not with Blizzard's infrastructure we're unable to provide an ETA."

That was about an hour ago. Guess we either contact our ISP, or wait and do something more productive!

I don't think anyone yet has asked this question: who is the monster revealed in the 50% icon? Is it some redesigned Baal?

Aslo, should that Adria post be spoiler tagged?

posted a message on NVidia 3D Vision
    Hello,

I just read the display driver notes for the new NVidia 285.62 drivers and it states:

"Added or updated SLI profiles for [...] Diablo III ..."

"Added the following 3D Vision game profiles: Diablo 3"

Does this make anyone want to get a 3D Vision set-up all of a sudden?!

Looks rather tasty . 15 tracks across two discs doesn't seem a lot, but I assume each track is of substantial length.

Anyone else intrigued by the title for the Diablo 3 track: "Last Angel" ?? Wonder what thats about.

I don't know what this 'Ureh' people keep mentioning is, but I always thought that Minas Tirith was white. It was called the 'white city'. Also, the river Anduin doesn't run that close to the city. All in all, though, it's a really cool LotR image.

Grrrrrrrr. Now I like LotR as much as the best of them but to be fair if the Diablo lore says there is a city on a cliff then the devs have to give us a city on a cliff. And that is the only similarity between Ureh and Minas Tirith. Give them a little slack here, its very hard now to do anything that can't be compared to something else in popular culture.

Then I apologise to MD for suggesting he was jumping to conclusions. I think I need to read the Diablo Archive to get a clearer picture in my mind about Ureh, don't want to read MD's thread with the plot spoiler! Hopefully they will unveil Ureh at Blizzcon and then update the website with a full page like they have Caldeum and Tristrum. It feels like this game is gonna come so soon but I'm sure it will be ages yet.

Defo agree with what has been said above about that demonic looking fallen angel. I really hope it's Inarius. Would make some kind of sense if he returned after the worldstone's destruction considering his powers were linked to the stone in some way.

That page on the thumbnail of the wallpaper, don't click it just look at the top left it says "Ureh" like the others say "Leah" and "Tristram".

Thats what I would expect too, but this is what I see. And this is why I am confused!

Yes. On the Diablo 3 site it says "Ureh" on the wallpaper.

I'll take your word for it, although I'm looking and can't see that anywhere, either on the wallpaper itself, in the filename or above the links to download the different sizes of wallpapers themselves. Maybe the site is regional. Maybe I just can't see it :D

The Wallpaper released today confirms it is indeed Ureh from Diablo: Kingdom of Shadow novel by Richard A. Knaak.

MedievalDragon, how does this prove this is Ureh? You've got two screenshots of zones we've already seen, and three pieces of artwork which have no title that I can see, and that don't even give a clue as to what they are by the filename. I'm not doubting it is Ureh necessarily, I'm just wondering how you came to this conclusion? Is there something I've missed here? I just get the impression you are jumping to conclusions!

What are you talking about? Player "might" climb the ladder? You see that exact scene in the gameplay trailer and the baba was going down the ladder and to the left.

Yeah I thought this immediately. In the gameplay video you see the barbarian go down that ladder, so its the same dungeon as we've already seen.

Ironic that MedievalDragon thinks it looks darker! Hope he didn't sign that petition.... :D

posted a message on Diablo MMO Hinted?

“We also tried to focus a little more on bringing characters back, and not just from ‘Diablo II’ but from ‘Diablo I,’”

This immediately made me think of Adria, she was an awesome mysterious character who could be explored in much greater depth. Adding weight to the idea that she will make a return is that in Dekard Cain's journal on the D3 website he mentions her specifically, like the devs are casually reminding old players and introducing new ones to the character. Exciting!

Wonder if we will here more from Ormus and that assassin who was watching him in Kurast?

Very nice :) The x's you mention look like castles to me - I think it just indicates a town perhaps, not waypoints necessarily?

posted a message on WWI Teaser - Day 5
Hey all, I've been a lurker for a couple of years reading these forums, lots of stuff happening on here over the last few months and what with all the excitement over whatever Blizzard are going to announce this weekend, I felt compelled to fianlly post something! Huzzah - post number 1!

Anyhow, I've had a look at the ice5 image today. Purely based on the evidence and not being at all biased, I think it might be hinting at Diablo 3 most strongly. Obviously its vague enough to not be sure (all you people who shout that it is definitely D3 from the rooftops are off your heads - they would never make it obvious from these clues that it is D3 else they wouldn't have an announcement tomorrow!)

I browsed most of these pages (missed out a few between 26 and 100) Noone that I saw has mentioned that all the runes are glowing brightly in this picture compared to the others, as if they are turned on now they are all there.

The "planets" one seems much more clear. Notice how one of the planets appears to have an extra ring around it? I think this relates to the three symbols which have blobs on the side, and if you check the orientation of the planets in that symbol in relation to those three runes from SC2, D2 and WotLK the circled 'planet' would be the Diablo 2 Hel rune.

IMO the strongest evidence for D3, but then who knows?! Can't wait until tomorrow!
