Haha great article. Honestly, the Diablo 2 screenshot really looked like crap the more I look at it. It looks so 16 bit. Or is it 8 bit?

Haha, I was laughing at how ridiculous the whole art saga thing is now.
An artist works for a community or client. It is the community or client that must be impressed. That is what decides the "outcome". How can you not be successful if you please the majority? Read the response in this thread, we are the majority.
I'm pretty sure Rembrandt or DaVinci didn't work for the community when they did their paintings.
Blizzard isn't really an artist. They're charging money for this game. Heck of course, we have to have some say in it for that reason.
If Blizzard released D3 for free, that I suppose they can design it the way they want to their hearts content.
There was a portion of the demo where a circle of cultists sacrifice three half naked chicks who explode and the meat of their flesh spins around and slowly layers onto a skeleton to become a lesser demon, who explodes vaporizing the cultists. When he finally died all his flesh was flayed back off of the bone. I'm not sure how much more dark and gritty you can get than that.

A pentagram is basically a 5 pointed star. Whoever thought that a pentagram was a 6 pointed star? That's a HEXagram. And I have strong suspicion it's going to be a new diablo game. Think about it. Why would they want to make such a big fuss over something like that Vikings game? I would be extremely disappointed if it was any other game like another WoW expansion, don't really need one of those. My 2 cents. Peace.
