I don't think we've gotten a price on it, but I would assume its somewhat expensive as they're basically trying to make it so theres plenty of gold sinks.

Its been said that hypothetically things like gold and magic find and xp gain could be used in a way where you trade one for the other in light amounts. It wouldn't be trading that stuff for character power though.

As I said it's probably going to be fairly heavily restricted to specific sources and amounts. As an example, completely hypothetical, let's say that the only magic find available is from placing a diamond gem in a head slot. It's useful because of the amount it provides, but maybe other gems in a head slot provide things like bonus XP, bonus gold, etc. Then it's not a choice of power vs. MF and building characters around the system, but a choice between interesting bonuses that will probably change through the career of a character. Anyway, that's just a thought on how it could work. It's still under consideration. We like the idea of having some way to improve your chances to find magic items, but not as a driving statistic for characters.

I think it could be cool to have a shape shifter of sorts that shifts for certain skills, but I usually don't like it when it, like SFJake said, splits the class. That can be fine if each shift is its own thing, however, instead of like "Oh when you go into x form you're like a Barb, and this form is like a Monk, etc." I also feel like they would have to shift to pretty interesting forms, and bear and wolf are kind of off the table if the Druid doesn't return. Its definitely an archetype thats missing, and I can see it being introduced in an expansion, but it would have to be pretty well executed to interest me all that much.

Well they wouldn't become useless, but you would probably have to go through the expansion content in order to get back to maximum power. Its kind of unavoidable with a RPG expansion, whether it be through new items or more levels.

They could possibly do later areas with just random dungeons/encounters and no lore related dungeons. Although if you went to, say, heaven, it would be a pretty big spoiler. Or even Hell.

posted a message on Diablo III Beta and Spoilers?
Yea as much as I want to play the beta I would want to avoid it if it was the entire game. I mean I wouldn't in order to cover it, but I do want to expirience some parts in a more polished form than a beta. And I wouldn't want to only kinda know the story, as it would be unavoidable based on the areas you were going to. All that being said it probably won't be the entire game.

I have no idea, but as far as making sure nightmare and hell are at a good difficulty, they could have you go through the same starting areas while jumping up levels after completion. If its even something they feel like they really need to test. The only thing I have to say about content that might be in the beta is that I think they'll leave out a good amount of stuff in order to not spoil it.

Well we already know that they're going to provide a wide range of attributes, like cast speed and xp and gold gain. So I wouldn't be surprised if there are plenty of other things along those lines. Pretty much everything thats not elemental damage or stats (and maybe even stats) could be on gems. Life leech plox.

Yea, I don't think it would be at all bad if you could grind for some extra levels, but its not bad that its not one of the things you grind towards either. And for all we know there could be end game plans that are something like "requires level 60" and they want to plan it so that you can go right into it after beating Hell.

I think Goatmen is fine. I'd like Khazra in the manual though. Having the different names adds a surprising level of immersion for me. Like one could imagine that many people of Sanctuary call them Goatmen because well, they are literally goat men, and the wiser elders like Cain would call them the Khazra if he ever mentioned them, because he knows a bit of their culture.

Sketch is nice as always, screenshot is more of the same.
Well most of the time you see them in game as "Moon Clan Shaman" and stuff like that. But yea, when talking about them it would make sense for more educated people to use Khazra.

Eh? What happened to the Goatman in that artwork? Is it corrupted or undead or something, because don't they normally look more natural like this?
It looks kind of like its a zombie goatman, and it also seems to be a combination of two goatmen. It could be something along the lines of what creates the Unburied.

Well they've said that Artisans would be optional, so it would entail that either you don't need to level the Jeweler to combine gems, or you actually don't need high level gems.

Well recently Bashiok said that levels above 5 will drop in game. He didn't say how many levels though, but either way it significantly lowers the amount of droppable gems needed, even if its only level 6 that drops.

Yea, he has auras and some skills that do damage while healing your party. Obviously the Assassin is the larger component because of the combo system. But there definitely is some Paladin influence in there. And again I'm sure everything will be considerably different.

It's not even that. I just think it's a good goal to shoot for. Taking into account that you need five of each level of gem to achieve the next level, you would need an extraneous amount of chipped gems to create a radiant star.
Where did they say that you needed 5 of one level to make the next? I thought it was just that, before, the highest level dropped was level 5.

As far as the OP, I plan on getting as many Radiant Stars as possible.

There's a feature that allows you to teleport to your group when you join a game. And even if that gets removed by release the waypoints are on every dungeon level and in every area so you would never have to run all that much to get with your group/friend.
