Well its an investor conference call, so they're going to talk about the biggest moneymakers (aka WoW and CoD).

Beta means a limited chance to play the game. I was hoping to get more info about the soundtrack, about eastereggs, about unicorns, about the acts, the enviroment but mostly a year it will be released, you see. Im have personal issues right now and I need good news.
Its a financial call. We basically got the best news out of it that we could (other than a May/June beta). Their not going to spend time going in depth on a game's mechanics/graphics/etc.

However, an upcoming beta does mean that in the next few month's we'll get plenty of info about any unannounced systems.

Well hopefully we get the beta on the early end of Q3. Either way, at least we'll be getting (hopefully) consistent updates in the form of new systems until the beta comes out. And the lack of questions about D3 is probably because 'Beta in Q3 2011' doesn't really lead to many questions.

Act like you've been there before :P And It all depends on how much stuff has to be done during the beta.

Yea. Q3 is beginning of July to end of September, so still pretty much a summer beta. And internal testing is pretty much just people under NDA and people from in the company testing the game I'd assume.

Well for starters I'm sure there will be leaderboards and ranking for every bracket they implement. Otherwise, unless you're doing 3v3, you could get put in matches with people way above/below your skill level. And they've readily stated that PvP in general won't be as balanced as PvE simply because of the amount of builds and because its not the main focus of the game. So chances are that even 3v3 won't be balanced (at least for a while).

Yea pretty much the same for me. I'll play with friends that are around the same level (and sometimes help lower level people get started) whenever they are on, but I'll probably be the one playing (by far) the most out of my friend group.

Well on this picture you can see that theres shop and repair buttons in the Blacksmith UI. And I don't think you have to scrap stuff in order to sell it.

But one of (what seems to be) a goal for D3 is that leaving town is much more of a long-term thing, and getting back to town isn't as easy. There will still be waypoints, and from what we've heard they will be placed much closer together, but you still have to fight your way back to town, as opposed to just going back at your convenience.

Besides, if you make it so that it can happen out of combat, that could easily be used by someone the moment they get away from a pack of monsters, as opposed to the current setup where you'd have to heal up and get back to fighting, or give up and have to walk back to the last waypoint. So the end result is that leaving town feels more dangerous, and as a result towns also feel safer. Which IMO is better.

I mean you DID kill a psychopath that then essentially came back from the grave, and during the hundreds of years she was forced to relive you killing her over and over. I would expect a lot of insults. I liked how Glados transformed by the end though.

I would say my two favorite moments thus far (only have course 4 and 5 left in co-op) are:
The Part Where He Kills You. I laughed my ass off at how many times that was repeated in about ten seconds. 'Oh no, this is the part where he kills us.' 'Hello, this is the part where I kill you.' Across screen: THE PART WHERE HE KILLS YOU.

The puzzle that makes you collide with your partner in co-op. Took me forever but it was great when I got it.

What? Its not like its been a continuous tradition from the Mayans to modern day Mexicans. If anything the majority of the people who believe this stuff aren't from Mexico. Most of them are probably (and unfortunately) from the USA.

Well Blizzard has said they have no problems with a higher level character "rushing" a lower level character through content, as long as it doesn't involve skipping large parts of the game or anything like that. So in D3 it seems like you'll still be able to rush but it won't be just teleporting past groups of monsters or anything like that.
