I have no experience in HC mode with D2 and I always played in passworded games with friends I know from EQ or real life. Did hardcore characters really die to pvp?
I would pay the money per month to receive extra content, depending on how much they charge and how well built the game is on release. I don't believe that everyone should have to pay to play what comes out of the box on battle.net. I also agree that Flagship had a great idea that was not properly implemented; in the beginning at least, I never stuck around long enough to tell if they got their act together.
Another large incentive for me would be to pay to have a team totally dedicated to updating the programs that log every action and check for cheaters.
As for keeping the children out, I don't think a monthly fee has any real bearing on that. If a parent deems their child mature enough to let them play this game, it's really not my business.
Wizard's first rule comes to mind, but honestly, I kinda liked some of his ideas. I found it enjoyable to watch the same way I find it interesting to read threads on these forums about ideas everyone has that they think Diablo 3 should adapt from other games or completely new ideas.
Well tactical and secret rooms possibly. Slam into the wall, throw a firebomb at it, or explode it with arcane fire, I assume all would get the job done to find a hidden room behind a wall.
Going back to previous Blizzard titles, World of Warcraft for example, the concept art seemed to match the look and feel in the game exactly, however in Diablo 3 alot of the concept are is far darker than seen in the short demo presented yesterday. Are there any plans to make the game far darker, to match the concept art, as the game progresses into different acts?
The graphics that were displayed to us were great imo and I thought at first that I'd be very happy with the way the game looked. But looking at the changes some of you have made (thanks), I'd much prefer the darker style over what currently exists.
edit: Holyblood's images finally loaded and I agree with his take on it, I love the idea of using more colors in the game but still keeping the dark and creepy look.
