posted a message on Rift Guardian Idea

While there are tones of guardians to fight already, they can become very repetitive after a certain amount of time, the new guardian added is very welcomed but heres a pretty good idea. The guardians are mostly alternative versions of the campaigns 'smaller' bosses or upgraded normal enemies, wouldn't it be cool if they included the games bigger bosses, like belial, azmodan, malthael. seigebreaker and others as alternative guardians, and instead of fighting in the rift area a portal opens to their respective battlegrounds. I see this as a quick easy way to add more to the game, and would love to see it implemented by blizzard!
Feel free to leave comments, additions or even what kind of new attacks these bosses could bring in the rifts.

Yeah except having 90% of loot that isnt garbage is a very very very optimistic thing even on blizzards part. Maybe implementing this ancient idea in the current state of the game isnt such a great idea, obviously they just wanted something to announce to spice up their blizzcon panels. Maybe they should have done something else, like a new thing to do in the game *cough cough* boss rush mode *cough cough*.

But yeah I see pros and cons on both sides of argument (even though i still think the ancient idea is still contradicting the philosophy they stated at blizzcon and previously, completely goes against saying the next tier of items will be better than the last when this is obviously not the case with ancients at the moment) guess we just have to wait for PTR and see how it goes and see what changes they make to it, although ive been arguing against it, i still think that it should go to PTR to see how it goes.

While you make some great points Angzt, things ive never thought of before. i still have to say, this system is not ideal. And no promises of all items having a unique affix helps, although it does make it clearer why they want to do it this way.

I still think that the system that is going to PTR so clearly goes against what blizzard have stated their philosophies are about D3 on multiple accounts. Although your post has made me think a little twice of the 'Gift of Ancient' idea. But yes while they might be ideal for most of us, it would pigeonhole a casual player in using that one weapon (probably) that he gifted to be ancient, I didnt think of it in that way at all.

But about every legendary drop being exciting? Firstly im someone who identifys everything just outta habbit, so im trying to think like someone who doesnt. But i know that with the ancient items, people dont want any random item, they want the ones that they are using now, their set peices, their bombadiers rucksacks, wand of wohs, TnT,s hell they dont even have to be rare, just the items that gives them functionality to their build. If all items had unique affixes that doesnt really change much to be honest. People will just have those items and make builds with them, and when it comes time to farm for ancients, theyre not settling for other items.

Also, and lastly, this really just came to my mind when i was about to click post. what if you are not a casual player, leveling up a new toon, you have a build in mind and have just hit level 70, and find an ancient item that isnt part of the build that you had in mind, but it compliments another build, that may hinder the players choice in what build he wants to play! And yeah i know theres complaints about build diversity and being forced into a build for high GR's now (although that can be discussed somewhere else) but i couldnt imagine the problem getting any better if this scenario plays out

Im sure you all have read Verdix's idea on Ancient items if not, here you go

    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/15142174611?page=1

Now im sorry for linking to the offical blizzard fourms but here is my thread that extends his idea to focus on blizzards philosophies of Dialbo 3 and i really think if this thread gains traction it could make a difference so in a way i guess im just promoting it here.

Id really appreciate if you took the time to read it all, and even comment on it get the thread moving.

    Thanks.

posted a message on Few Questions From a New Player:
1 - Fastest way is powerleveling, get a friend to help, you start a game on T6 and invite your friend, and do bounties, its crazy the first few enemies he kills youll be up to level 4 in a second. If you want to level fast in solo, then straight bounties on a difficulty you can clear with ease is the best. You may think that going to T6 asap is fast, but when your sitting there for 30 minutes trying to kill one elite you realise that its not even if that one elite gives lots of exp.

    2. From statistics youll get the most legendarys from these greater rifts> rifts >bounties. while greater rifts give more legs they lack in giving you lots of EXP and resources (money, crafting materials ect) Normal rifts are a good balance of legendarys and resources. As for specific gear, the only thing closest to it in Diablo 3 is Kadala and Bloodshards, you earn bloodshards from rifts and greater rifts (higher difficulty gives you more bloodshards at the end of the rift)

    3. You use those bloodshards on a NPC in town called kadala, you buy items from her with a chance of legendary, you can pick what slot you want to buy (eg: Chest Armor, 1H Weapon, 2H Weapon, boots) I usually save around 300-400 then go buy from kadala, i dont find getting finishing a rift and using the low ammount of shards you get on her to get like 2 or 3 items rewarding. As for rift keys yeah just keep them, you need 1 to get into rifts, theres no point selling them or dropping them

    4. No not really, unforchantly bosses serve no purpose to kill except for in bounties, achievement hunting, or just if you feel like killing them. Some of them used to drop crafting materials for items but they have been removed from the game, so no point killing bosses now.

Hope this helps! Welcome to Diablo 3

posted a message on Magefist roll question
So im running a cindercoat fire cluster arrow spam build, and just got my magefist, the question. Roll the Vit or Attack speed, im leaning more towards attack speed it really seems like a minimal upgrade (also got lowest roll 5%) although it does bloat the sheet damage really high.

There is the picture of magefists compared to the gloves im using now (sorry for the low res, got a bad PC)

Also for reference ive already got 2.23 attacks per second (which rises to 2.31 w/magefist) and 39.20% (44.20% w/magefist) attack speed increase.
