To be honest, that guy looked exactly like my uncle...

He was also reminiscent of Comic Book Guy from The Simpsons. I'm sure that was obvious to most of you though.

"-with the worldstone gone demons are more free to enter the world of sanctuary, this is how more powerful demon lords (act bosses of sorts) can come through"

I don't understand this logic. I thought because the Worldstone existed, that angels and demons could easily enter Sanctuary, not the other way around.

I'm not very fond of the Cain idea, but good concept. I just got done playing it again, and I talked to Deckard Cain about the 7 Tombs (in Lut Golein) and he said Tyrael did something and no one found out why, or something like that. I'm beginning to think that he will be the main villain. Maybe the worldstone wasn't corrupted when he said he had to destroy it because it was.

Interesting theory. And I believe what you were referring to about Cain was when he said, "Where the actions of Hell often seem straight forwardly bent on destruction, the motives of Heaven are unfathomable."

I've wondered that with the soulstone destroyed and thus the link from Sanctuary to Heaven/Hell gone, perhaps there'd be a game about another different world that was created. That those angels and demons still have influence over.

This of course seems very unlikely since I think Blizzard likes to develop a single universe for each game and then develop that and allow it to evolve.

Have many of you read the second Diablo book? I forgot the demon's name but it wasn't any of the prime or lesser evils. It was this other demon who was very patient and calculating and waited till the time was right before it began exerting its influence. And it didn't seem to exist in Hell at all but some other dimension. So it's possible a third Diablo could just have a completely new made up demon.

And I really don't see a game where you'd fight an evil Tyrael. Tyrael was just enigmatic, a sort of maverick angel who didn't necassarily agree with either side. Obviously he was against Hell, but disagreed with Heaven that they shouldn't interfere with Sanctuary because if Hell was going to interfere, they might as well have.

I htought it was interesting somebody wanted them to bring back the Butcher and King Leoric. Those two characters simply belong in the first Diablo. Cause they're a part of what made that game special.

I do wonder, however, if they made a D3, if they would change the view of the game altogether and make it all in third person like the view in Fable or something.

I don't know if anyone's mentioned this, and there's too many posts in this thread for me to start reading them all, but I would like a zoom option akin to the one in Warcraft 3. I'm not sure if that means sacrificing the graphic's quality, however. Cause in my opinion, everything looks better and more realistic in Diablo than in Warcraft 3, where W3 all has that cartoonish, big polygon(?) look. But I'm sure we can assume whatever new game they make for Diablo that the graphics will be much better than both those games anyway.

I'd also like it to be somewhat open-ended. Not nearly as much as Oblivion, but more than just moving straight through like how Diablo really is.

I also liked in the first Diablo how you'd get more quests while adventuring and not just in the towns. Like that goat guy who was making the weapon for you or the or the hell knight who asks you to help put his spirit to rest. Those were some of my favorite moments in the game.

The whole point of having way more items of all kinds I'm fairly indifferent too. Out of the tons of items I felt there already were, I knew I'd still never get to see even half of them all. Ugh, I do remember however for the set items always getting parts of the Sigon's set and it drove me crazy.

I loved the character they were fighting against how he wore the brace to help his carpel tunnen syndrome and how he'd never say anything but just lean from side to side and occasionally push his glasses back up.
