well my hero is level 70 paragon in the hundreds, and im assuming that level 60 items wont be dropping at this point. the blacksmith offers either "hellfire ring" or "hellfire ring of intelligence, strength, etc." the random ring i can make no problem. are these new drops the level 70 "organs"? the vengeful eye, whithering spine, and devils fang are the "organs" that WILL NOT drop for me. are these the level 60 organs that i no longer need? if yes, then i assume that now i can no longer craft main stat specific rings and only random hellfire rings? if yes, will it always smart roll or am i at the mercy of RNG after all my hard work?
Those items are for the level 60 versions. The level 70 one requires Leoric's Regret, Vial of Putridness, Idol of Terror and Heart of Evil.

If you don't have the 70 plans, go to the little girl in Act 2. Buy the level 70 Hellfire Ring and Amulet plans. Teach them to the Jeweler (you don't craft these at the Blacksmith). Profit.

There is only one ring and one amulet plan at level 70. A specific recipe for Int/Dex/Str is not needed because of smart loot. Any level 70 hellfire ring you craft will come with the main stat of the character that is crafting it. Likewise for the amulet (amulet will also come with an appropriate passive for the class who created it).

thanks, i read that before, but here is the problem im having. if by "organs" they mean the viles and whatever required for ammy or random ring, i get those. BUT... when i try to craft a specific ring, it shows i have zero required organs (spine, etc, reminicent of diablo 2 organs). if droprate was 50% and updated to %100, then shouldnt i have at least one organ?!?!?
I think you're missing the way this works. You get the keys from Kewardens. The keys make a machine. The machine opens a portal and the bosses inside the portal drop the items needed to craft an amulet.

The Keys are never guaranteed (just more likely on higher Torment Levels). The items from the bosses are 100% in Torment VI. They are not guaranteed in any other Torment Level.

An advantage compared to what? As a person playing Diablo, I don't give two craps what other people are doing. If you have 50 trillion gold or 300 SoJ's, what does it matter to me?

Botting in D3 doesn't hurt Blizzard or other players. What would be the incentive for them to put much effort into this? Also, why do you care?

    Lol.

Loot is to promote build diversity. I've been playing video games longer than you've been alive. Try to keep up.
Are you aware that saying stuff like this basically proves you to be an immature net noob? Chalk this up there with the term "slap in the face" as ways to immediately identify people with worthless opinions.

Like I said before and like several others have tried to explain to you in this thread: In a game like this, some items are supposed to be better than others. And those items are supposed to be harder to get a hold of. This is how loot games work. If every item was equally useful (an impossibility, but let's pretend), you'd find your first two legendary rings and then be done playing. What would keep you around? You've already got the best gear in the game because every ring is as good as every other ring.

If you don't like the fact that items vary in rarity and power, then you're playing the wrong game. Hell, the wrong genere even.

To paraphrase: If everything is special, then nothing is.

I'm sorry that you don't understand this concept - but it is the way it is.

RORG, Unity, and SOJ are just too dominant. We have ring sets that are garbage. We have rings that are completely pointless. We have rings that have really interesting abilities, but they just don't have any synergy with... anything. At all.
This is by design. Seriously. The whole point of loot is to have this be the case. Have you never played games or what?

The rarity of these items and the difficulty in actually breaking through the RNG barrier of getting a proper roll makes hunting these rings extremely frustrating relative to other items in the game.
Couldnt agree more... this exact problem is leading to me giving up D3 again after getting 3 chars to easily stomp T6 .. but im not finding SoJs and Unities at all in T6 rifts for ages. The Unity alone would allow me to go 5-7 Grifts higher.. a good one probably 7-10. The SoJ is very powerful in party play.
I couldn't disagree more. These rings are only half as rare as the baseline, which makes it totally not worth boobing about. Your personal experience of (apparently) finding none and my personal experience of having the things drop like candy is completely irrelevant. The bottom line is the odds on getting these rings is not high at all and no change is needed.

@Firecrest - SoJ & Unity are indeed only half the drop rate of the more common rings. You can see the drop rates in this thread: http://www.diablofans.com/forums/diablo-iii-general-forums/diablo-iii-general-discussion/93201-2-1-legendary-roll-percentages

That being said you don't have to be "uber-casual" to complain about these items. For instance I had my first SoJ while leveling my first char in RoS (around lvl 65) and after that I didn't see an SoJ or a unity for the next ~ 350 hours played. I have had my fair share of both unity's and SoJ's since so I'm not complaining.. I'm just saying is that anyone can be the victim of horrid RNG.
Of course RNG can make any item rare for any person. My comment was directed towards someone who called another player "lucky" for having found several Unitys. That's not "lucky", that's "average".

posted a message on Idea for group joining options,
I never found it particularly hard to do via public groups. Right after or right before you kill the 4th Warden all you have to do is say "Ubers?" Invariably someone will say "Sure!" From there you say what machine you're going to make and then go make it. 90% of the time the rest of the party will each make a machine. Occasionally one or more people will join your machines but not make their own. Such is life. If you find a half decent group of people, asking if they want to party up and run for awhile is pretty easy.

However, if you go through the runs and don't bother to speak up at the end, of course everyone is just going to disperse.

posted a message on The RNG Thread!
Unity's droprate is not particularly bad. I believe it and SoJ are only twice as rare as the baseline rings. I always feel like the people boobing about these must be uber-casual since it really doesn't take much to amass a collection of the things. Like the poster a couple above me, I have about half a dozen in my stash and like 2-4 out on various followers. That's from roughly 150 hours of playtime.

posted a message on Greater Rift mobs to skip ??
I don't skip anything either. For me the decision is more along the lines of "What should I kill and what should I drag with me to the next pack?" A lot of trash groups have 2-3 high health/armor mobs that last 15 seconds longer than everything else. Just standing there with them isn't really worth it. I bring them along with me to the next pack.

posted a message on Just an idea about normal gems
Blizzard has said a few times that they plan on rolling out some advanced uses for gems. Like the above poster, just being able to switch out one color for another is not really useful for me. I've got stacks and stacks of the things. Every time I get a Marquise stack up to 1000, I roll them all up into Flawless Royals - I've got at least a couple dozen of each color at this point.

I don't go out of my way to pick up gems anymore, but I do still pick them up when they're close. I'm OCD that way plus they might come in handy for whatever Blizz is rolling out.

posted a message on Group T6 Timed Runs - 7 Billion XP/Hr (Video)
Why would you list this as seven billion per hour when don't even do a full hour. You basically rolled the dice here three times and multiplied by three and said, "Welp! That's what it'd be!" Put in several ours before you claim this kind of BS.

    thought so, thanks ;)

too bad it wasn't crit instead dmg
Wouldn't have mattered. The answer still would have been to roll the crit into a socket. SoJ only rolls one random main stat. Whatever it is, is what you turn into a socket.

posted a message on Furthest floor on a grift?
Small Grift floors with just a few dozen monsters total are pretty common. As are exits that are like 5 steps from the entrance. If you want to clear the floor, you'd end up wasting time coming back around to the exit after you were done - so it's just better to move on to the next level. In fact, it's always better to move on to the next level when you find the door. Trying to full clear every level is just stupid.

    Also, who gives a rip?
