It's a close combat barbarian with high speed and frenzy in focus.
It's meant for PVE with fast paced style. I like it because it's got both speed, survivability and flexibility.
Feb 16, 2012A lot of people are talking about D2, but very few ever mention D1. Diablo 1 is actually a very good game and at the time there was nothing like it. Without it there probably wouldn't even be a battle.net.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Diablo 1 had a much lower pace than D2, but offered a slightly gloomier world and was scarier because of that combination. I played D1 at an internet café as a kid (much to the despair of my parents who didn't want me spending too much time with computer games) and got hooked immediately. I remember the first time I was able to play it at home after having bought the game. I had to install a whooping 32mb's of RAM on my computer in order to be able to play on Battle.net.
The game was fun even though it was full of exploits. Duping was extremely easy, and even battle.net characters were locally stored so there were "editors" (Like the infamous BoBaFeTT's Diablo Trainer) that could add any stats and items to characters. But hacks were so common that it was easy to spot, so most people didn't want to use them. The term "legit" is almost forgotten nowadays but at the time it was one of the most used words in Diablo.
Anyway, online play was actually quite different as well. There were clans of PK's (Player Killers) and PKK's (Player Killer Killers) that collected ears of famous players (or PKers in the latter). PK'ing was very interesting at the time because players could attack other players without warning, even in the midst of combat. In Diablo 2 almost all of these aspects were gone (except for hardcore players for whom death actually matters).
I really think trying out D1 is worthwhile. Yes it's old, and you probably wont play it for long, but it's such an important part of Diablo's history and lore that I recommend everyone to try it out while waiting for D3 to come out. Blizzard has hinted that the butcher will make a come-back. If he does, you'll regret not having met him in D1 (and don't worry, you'll stumble upon him early on).

I will also be using My name there in D3 - Aphrodite. © I've been registered with Blizzard now for over 5 years with this name. I ask that no one, as a joke or otherwise, attempt to use my name, as it will be impersonation. And I will not be pleased.
I wish all well.
You so make me want to grab D3 the second it's out and grab the name Aphrodite on all realms
Jul 8, 2008Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionQuote from "SNowfreak" »This is actually a hard topic, because some people want to look skimpy, while others want to look fully clad in armor. The problem is, you cant even tell if yoru male or female if you are covered in armor...but then again i guess the magic class people will probablly be skimpier because they are not fully clad in armor.
Oh and btw i hate having different stats for male and female chars...thast dumb and skews your choice..maybe a female wants to have a male character or a male wants a female character, or whatever...but because they dont lilke the stats better they cant. its a horrible idea.
Did you play diablo 1? The rogue looks awesome in plate armor, and not similar at all to the warrior.

¨Quote from "Grimhound" »There was a female Paladin in Act 2 of Diablo 2.
And a female Barbarian in Act 5... Anya.
Also by geneology, Charsi from Act 1.
A female Warrior in Act 4... Jamella.
Thank you for the clarification and help in explaining why the ability to choose gender actually do fit in the diablo universe, but I'm not the one who needs to be convinced here.
Jul 7, 2008Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionQuote from "Skohsl" »The only thing that worries me is that the lore might be changed to accomodate other genders, the amazons for example are women, since they live in a society were women fight. Why would we suddenly be able to be a male amazon. Same goes for the sorceressess they are women, not men. They would have to make the male and female version of the sorceress (provided we get one obviously) come from different clans, which isn't very hard. But they might just do what happened in Warcraft when they made WoW, (sorry for the example I know most people here don't approve of the game...) but the druid class was male only and the female nightelves did all the fighting and defending of the realm. However they changed the lore and suddenly everyone is a female nightelf and starts running around as a druid... Completly ruining the story and lore of Warcraft. Something they shouldn't do with Diablo... (or am I the only one who thinks that this is important...?)
Sorceresses are female only? There's a sorceror in diablo 1.
Barbarians, who are sort of nordic type vikings can also be female in my opinion. There were female vikings as well, called 'sköldmö', or Shield Maiden translated to english.
Why shouldn't paladin be able to be female? Remember jean d'arc?

Beside Bashiok already mentioned on battle.net forum that the demo or beta leak is just hoax.
here is the link:
It's not related to the youtube scam
