Nah, that's why there's a normal and hardcore mode. Your idea will kill non hardcore players and will make them not to play Inferno (difficulty setting not official yet).
in D2 some high end players still played nightmare difficulty runs
that means that not anyone aims to play hell
here its the same: inferno is not a MUST.
its optional, its always there, not an obligation. it sits there and you know its there.
that adds a new level of excitement.
i thought about the inferno level (not 100% confirmed)
i think it will be amazingly cool if they inferno level is granting you a considerable MF and rare availability but with the cost of "REAL" death.
in other words:
i wish blizzard will make inferno deaths function as hardcore death.
this way you'll get a very exciting tradeoff between MF end game and caution and the fear from dying.
this will be too amazing.
any thoughts?
Why would somebody who plays softcore because they don't wanna lose their character ever play inferno then? I say keep hardcore and softcore separate no matter what, otherwise the game loses celerity. Also with thoughts on inferno.. I'd think it'd be an incredibly hard difficulty with maxed out mobs and only for lvl 60 characters. A difficulty where a group of ghouls is actually terrifying instead of just another encounter... that way softcore players will have a very very hard time getting through and hardcore players will truly be.. HARDCORE!!! lol
In any case I'm sure we're all excited to hear it be confirmed or denied and if it's confirmed we'd all love to know what the hell it is!
The thing is: inferno is optional. you dont have to play it. it really aims to the high end players who need more excitement and willing to make the next big step in order to get great items.

First of all, we can't have lootable bodies, because Blizzard said last Blizzcon that they'd introduced a mechanic where only the last 10-20 bodies would stick around, and anything older than whatever cap it was would disappear.
Even if all the bodies stayed, how is that different than the current system? Loot always drops by the body that it came from, so if people are running around getting items, they ARE already walking to bodies that other people can see. It's not like the game suddenly explodes loot on some player's screen for no reason.
every body leaves a "remains" (which is very simple and not consuming RAM or cpu)
this remains is the place where the loot is stashed.
anyone can click it and grab the items from it.
problem solved.
There is no problem though. This is actually one of the greatest new features in D3 that Blizzard has introduced I think. Loot that drops is only visible to that player - what is the core of that 'problem' if I may ask? <_<

I have, and to be honest I can't see the 'problem' with people walking strangely around collecting loot only they can see...? It takes 3 seconds and then you move on with your party to the next battle.
Is that the problem?
that's just silly:)
could be handled differently (don't get me wrong) i suffered the loot click fest as well.
i just think the solution could be done differently and more naturally

Well, it seems that Games in consoles nowadays contains the idea of ACHIEVEMENTS:
finish the game in less than 1 hour - achievement unlocked!
use only basic attacks to kill the boss - achievement unlocked!
etc..
Now, everyone agrees (and i urges you too agree! : ) ) that diablo most important thing is loot (equipment)
Im thinking why not incorporate this idea into diablo3?
why not making an achievement system that every achievement unlocks a very unique item for you character.
let there be some really sick achievements that grant you a super item that is very very hard to get (to be honest - impossible to get unless you unlock the achievement)
these items should not be tradable (cash or gold)
now imagine someone walking with a golden armor that only unlocked if you ... (insert a very hard task here)
that's great.
He's just pointing out that people will be running around picking up loot but it will look like they're just running around, since other players can't see THEIR loot.
Pointless thread, but at the same time.....a good point.
