Ok guys I'll admit I suck at graphic arts so no fancy pictures to prove my point.
I just want to point out that if infact it is Diablo 3, then your most likely not going to see Diablo incased in ice. Diablo is dead, yea there might be a way to revive him but from the players knowledge he is dead. Pictures you should be comparing it too are pictures of Baal in full demon form from the end of Lord of Destruction. I'm not sure such pictures even exist.
Anyway, support from my claim is flakey at best because it's based on the storyline and lore which is subject to change at the whim of Blizzard (See Draenei and Blood Elves).
1) In the ending cinematic of LoD we do not see Baal's soulstone get destroyed. If you don't see it, it didn't happen.
2) Arreat Summit is cold enough to encase a person in ice. Baal could easily have been encased if, for example, his defeat at the hands of the player and backlash from the destruction of the worldstone weakened him to the point that he had to hide and recover.
Honestly I think it looks like a Protoss, which the Xel'naga helped create, so there is a possiblity it's a teaser for some new starcraft information. However, as many people are pointing out that makes little sense. We know its a new game, so unless they announce Blackthrone revisited, it's Diablo 3.
