Like we said, quests and a heavy emphasis on coop adventuring should solve the problem. If the coop is fun enough to play with your friends, you'll want to do it over and over again because the experience is just so memorable, especially with your buddies all contributing their skills and stats towards fighting evil!

I know what you mean by D3 taking so long, but college/real life isnt mutually exclusive with D3.

Gaming is just like any other type of entertainment: movies, sports, hanging out with friends, TV, traveling, etc.

You just gotta balance it all.

My #1 complaint is that they take too long. Sure quality is great, but not being prolific (many great works) means you're nitpicky, and don't have much work to be judged on.

Not to mention how some fans might have commitments in their lives later on..

Ugh 2010. Might as well forget about it till then.

At least we have a lot of games to play and other things to do till then.

Honestly I would rather have blizzard just "announce" D3 and not show us anything, because now we're going to go crazy analyzing little pics and clips for 2 and a half years.

Exact same thing with me. I just loved cooping with people and combining our skills to survive. It was intense!

If there were no runs or rushing, Diablo 2 wouldn't be as popular as it is.

Going through the game the first time is fun, it's cool the second time, but after that it's all about getting to a high level and mfing.

That's why blizzard really needs to instill the sense of COOP play. Games like left 4 dead (that is coming out) and other COOP games will have the same levels over and over again, but people will still play them over and over again because of the kick you get out of COOPing with friends and getting worked by the minions of hell.

You'd have to really work together to barely SURVIVE.

Maybe what I want is a deeper and richer coop experience that really requires teamwork and skill overlapping to survive.

Honestly, this is what i do in D2 to this day. I'm not an item hog or rusher, i just get a game going with 5 of my friends and we play hardcore like our lives depended on it. And it's a blast! I guess I'm all about PvE, and that should be stressed in D3.
