Dully noted a thousand and one times over. Check the other posts before making your own thread first. Heck, this was stated on wikipedia ages ago when D2 releases.

I still believe the diversity presented is better then just having everything goth gray overshaded. Plus it'll get boring staring into the same damned textures over and over. Plus, last I checked, the world has color and not all dark n' gloomy. While a fantasy game, its more believable this way. Go into a church or old monestary and look around, it's not one shaded.

posted a message on Health Globes
The health globe thing looks like a grand idea. Plus, if you watch the gameplay, it has an after-effect. It encases the hero in glittery-starlike effect, and on the last battle with the siege demon, the witch-doctor picks it up and everyone in the party gets that effect. So that prevents mistakes and ninja'ing, so if anyone within they party is within reach, they get healed :D

    More User Friendly

Even though we got to see the inventory for only like 1/2 a minute spanned throughout the entire 20 minute presentation, it looks better defined and friendlier.

As Dragnskull rightfully said, this ain't no RTS buddy.

IF the world editor was implanted, I suspect that their would be alot of custom modding done to it like in WC3's editor, then we would have what? The Diablo version of DotA: TSW, The Sin Wars?
Didn't i state that earlier? You're thinking too narrow-minded on the possibilities of what it could bring. Sure, idiots can hop on the thing and randomly smack the keyboard with their faces until something magically compiles together and they ship it out to the masses. But there are other rpg/action games that use an editor, and people make use of it extremely well (like i said, NW). Also, there were plenty of hack n' slash-ish maps developed using WC3.

Legend of Magnador and Heart of Winter are two that I can think of, both of which are extremely well rounded and constructed with awesome storylines and customized models.

posted a message on Blizzard Introducing D3
From what I know when Blizzard releases a game, people engage in a reaction that resembles one of the three ways listed.

A- They have nergasms (ya know, you get extremely excited, can't sto psmiling or talking about it)
B- Declare Blizzard as their god and begin to worship and kiss an developer's feet as they pass (alos contruct shrines when they get home).
C- Die due to a heart attack, the pure awesomeness of the spectacle was too overpowering for them to handle.

If anything, watch the starcraft 2 one ,the crowd's reaction may be the same.

posted a message on Some interesting observations from the HD version of the game play movie

You can see the description of each item and freeze it... I really like that it shows exactly how many attacks per second each weapon has, rather than some vague speed description like in D2, and having to memorize breakpoints and how much IAS you need etc. You can also catch a glimpse of the descriptions of a few of the skills.

Also, I didn't notice this until about the 4th viewing, but you can see the huge Siege beast from the end of the movie walking in the background of the first half of the video, at around 9:10.
I wish I could see it in high def, my damned computer is dl'ing it at the speed of slug. I've done everything feasible to make it go faster but nooooooooooo...

Yeah, I also saw that beast during my first time watching it, I thought "Oh snap, pray that's just a backdrop or you're in for a hell-raising fight".

Personally I'd wish they'd add a Golemancer. Not like the necromancer summoning golems, but a mage that uses discarded body parts and souls to create a living golem, an abomination to do their bidding. They'd use pestilience (diseases from the rotting parts you've collected) and bone magicks. Plus the golem can be constructed of any variety of things.

Imagine a golem constructed from a spider, yeti, random demons and given a large 2h axe. That be one bad-ass pet to have at your side.

While a dark, grittier more gothic-esque would be cool, the cartoon-like graphics are still uber. Idk i guess I'm tired of seeing every game using the gray shade over every texture they use in their games, and this breaks away from it, and does a great job. You know, you can change it by reformatting and re-artworking all the textures when the game releases if you like.

wever the game can be represented in other ways rather than looking like an updated WoW.
Uses the same engine as far as I can tell or more or less, the same artists.

posted a message on So what did the teaser mean?
What we learned from the teaser is that some demon (any of the prime's) is in the mortal world, and ready to rip Sanctuary a new one. And as the heroes of the story, we get to do the same, but back onto the demons.

Not saying this is wc/sc, but you could imagine you're own storyline or world and use blizzard's technology to craft it. Sorta like use NW2 and making a side story or something, not like a DotA or Sheep tag, keep that away from meh!

I think it be awesome if they did. Though it depends if it's sticking strictly to D2's methodology of having you jus tcreate the game and it's the storyline only or if they go above n' beyond and make it more omni-decisive. (By this, i mean make your own storyline or make your own dungeon for people to play or for you to explore, not DotA or Sheeptag).

    Voice your opinions ;p

Sorry for the mispelling of the title, only damned thing I did mispell..oh well y'all get the point.
(spelling corrected in title -- Mod)

posted a message on D3 Graphics. Where's the love?!
The graphical update is great personally, wh ocares if it's cartoon-esqu'd. It still looks incredible, better then what anyone here anticipated I'll bet. BTW, the cartoony design is a nice break from the goth grey or crap brown overlay game makers use, see Gears of War for deails (Author's Note- I'm not saying that GoW is a crappy game).

In the end, I hope they add a world editor tools with the game, then you can do with whatever you wish :)
