Hey guys, today I give you my aggregate thoughts on the major problems in Diablo 3 and some possible solutions. The game goes in waves with every patch and I believe there are certain reasons for that, specifically moving too far away from the 'standard' ARPG model of Diablo 2. I discuss the uselessness of most features of the game, flaws of endgame grifting, power creep, solo vs. group play, itemization (lack of scaling, most items being bad, sets being replaced), ever-increasing damage multipliers, too many nerfs, lack of synergies, loot tables, and more. Enjoy & discuss!

MeatHeadMikhail posted a message on PTR 2.2 - Barbarian Wrath of the Wastes Set Explained (Video)Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's KeepNote: this is a general overview & demo of the set + damage scaling discussion. It's not meant for the 'super advanced' crowd.
Hey guys, today I want to explain and showcase the mechanics of the new Wrath of the Wastes Barbarian set - also known as the Whirlwind set - coming in patch 2.2. I discuss the set bonuses, scaling with various damage modifiers, the case for using (or not using) Rend, and do a ~1:30 T6 rift. Enjoy, discuss, and be on the lookout for specific build videos combining this set and the 'new' Immortal Kings!

Scarlive posted a message on The RNG Thread!Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionThe Furnace is simply a myth to me 550+ paragon not including seasons not a single drop and kadala gamble is nerfed no matter what they day earlier she is to give legs at least one for 500 blood shards now she is a bitch.
i got one shard of hate in the entire playtime and that is not even worth looking at twice.
But yesterday i got calamity atleast a nice one which goes with my cold build.
yeah its good to have rare items but not so rare that after 750 + hrs and u still don't have a single drop and if at all its drops a crappy one then people will just loose interest for example i lost faith in furnace and i wont even care about it now .

Bagstone posted a message on Are you going to play season 3 or non season with 2.2?Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionNote that season 3 will be longer than season 2, probably about 5 months (just a guesstimate). Many of the idea we see in 2.2 have been pitched at Blizzcon already (and were already in some sort of playable state), and from what we've heard in the Tavern Talk they haven't even started developing 2.3 (at least nothing for the Helltooth set rework, for example) - so season 4 will definitely start a bit later this summer. Anything between 3-4 months (very optimistic), 5-6 months (realistic), and 7-8 months (pessimistic and way too long) is possible I guess.
On topic:
I dislike new starts. This is a game of progression for me, I want to constantly improve my character, and don't see how restarting from scratch every now and then should fit into this theme for me (I hated the ladder restarts in D2, but was kind of forced to play it as the low-level ladder-only rune words were just too good to give up).
I don't want to commit to one class. There's almost no week in which I don't play every class at least once. Sometimes I play 3-4 different classes within one evening, just switching back and forth. I also like theorycrafting and testing out new builds, so I keep every item that seems remotely interesting to be able to test out everything whenever I want to. By the time I would have all items for all classes the season would be over.
Therefore: Non-season all the way. There's more than enough interesting stuff to test on non-season anyways.

NHunter2335 posted a message on 2.1.2 first impressions - share with us!Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionNope, DH is actually stronger than before by a bit. It just requires the player to be a little bit more proactive now, which is why lazy players who got too used to the sentries doing all of the dirty work will certainly agree with you.
Conduit pylon - that thing is what really got nerfed into uselessness. They need to buff its damage by 5x at least to make it worth something even on T6. -

Darkrealmx posted a message on Barb Rend Set 2.1.2First off- Barb is a melee class. I know that is difficult to swallow, but it is what it is.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Secondly, the new WW/Rend set looks like fun. I know Rend is clunky but two applications that last for 30 seconds will give you plenty of time to WW all over the place and kill stuff. I personally love the idea. There is some synergy between the set, the belt, and the ring. Seems to me it would be pretty OP if done right.
Last- No. I want the ancient items to "feel" special. Not a whole stash of them... If one a week dropped while grinding out T6/GR30+ it would be fantastic. The item hunt is one of the only things LEFT to do in this game... - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

actuallly i really like that news. dont like john after Morticks accident. maybe new designers will make game better.

definetely will get stash but like a few last seasons i ll quit D3 after a month or less.
i cant keep up with most of players about paragons. that means i dont have any chance to compete for leaderboards. after a month discovering new things and having some fun i ll quit d3 till next season.

i dont have a word to seasonal rewards. if u play season and u get rewards for it .
but a stash tab for playing season is just seems unfair. i got 2 stash character already. need more stash badly as always.after every new content patch stash issue getting bigger.
1
so far i understand they give 5 more stash tab for buying but also u got chance to get extra 1 for playing season journey. i dont mind season only legs or cosmetic rewards but that stash tab issue includes non season too.

i really wanna play with old barb that can fight mobs without using cc or running away.
Crusaders are better melee for sure. u can play easily with around 1k all ress. and can do more dps. without FC pulling rune barbs are just nothing.
live servers barbs are still nothing but FC Raekor. just using advantage of pulling mobs nothing more.
