A bit offtopic:
They have thought about how much time they want to spend on different aspects of the game, and also about the quality requirements. You can't simply say 'we will spend on infinite amount of time on everything, so that everything will be perfect'. Some people seem to think it works like this. I am talking about people saying they want 7(or more?) classes. Do we want 5 good classes? Or 7 less good classes? Or 100 crap classes? Or 1 perfect class? They think 5 is a good number, probably cause it worked well with diablo 2.
More off topic: going along with what timmen said also remember that 5 classes were in D2 and it bumped up to 7 in the expansion so there is always more time to add in two classes if an expansion will give the benefit of time and balancing.

As for me pay to play gets somewhat costly because I don't have the ability to play online as much as I'd want to so it becomes a value vs. cost thing for me. I liked playing wow but I was unable to play hardly at all so I had to suck it up and quit. On top of that I like to play these games with my wife so its not just 15 bucks for us but 30. So the costs add up.

Didn't Blizz say something about a reduced need for healing anyway?

Wow is a different beast altogether because there are a lot of different types of classes and many are only functional on certain quests or areas. For instance, you might finish one set of quests and move on to the next area and find out that you are completely ill equipped to fight there and must respec to survive. The random nature of diablo should mute the need for a large variety of classes and constant respecing(? my spelling sucks!)

That would be great, having hundreds of people farm quill rats! It doesn't necessarily have to be about everyone being a hero. The game could take place when there are different factions of peoples. Just because many people banded together to fight evil a long time ago doesn't mean they are united now. It could have a mix of hero seekers and those trying to further their factions reach for power and basically ignore the hordes of demons.
You never know you may be able to easily balance the game so it appeals to the die hard hack and slashers while still appealing to the role players that want to be have a game centered around infighting.

Still some great indoor levels with intricate detail would definitely be welcomed. You got to get a nice mix of the two.
I agree with him too.

Hey somebody had to put the information up on wiki. You should comment on the history of the franchise or something to that effect so it wont get deleted.
