posted a message on Bone Necromancer Build.
    That build is terrible.....
    no sojs/BK's? no FCR rings?

What break points are you trying to hit?

Bone shade is a terrible choice for a weapon, you should be using either a wizzy, a hoto, or a 8 to bone spear white.

shako is ok depending on the FCR and FHR BP's you wanna hit but most ppl agree that a FCR PNB circlet with sick stats is much better...

Seriously you think this build is expensive? Its very very cheap,.....

posted a message on What Would Make PvP Better?
to make pvp better all they need to do is keep the simple in game dueling feature D2 has and then on top of that add in organized PVP games possibly similar to WoW arena that are rated or have some type or awards....thats all I can really think of...and well make it balanced but thats a given anyways :P

Its not about content being boring. If you think a game is boring why do you play it? No matter how small the cheating is you do it is still retarded. Cheat is a cheat if you can't manage without it you have failed in the game.

Maphack helps in a lot more ways than just finding places quick.. I've made over 100 characters and never needed a maphack to find the next area. The areas are small and simple and you can just bash the monsters dead while looking for the next area and gain exp/items. Many people in HC wanted to use maphack because it shows you all the monsters and bosses and their abilities. Without maphack everything comes with a surprise.

Also maphack used to have this ability to scroll the screen.. so for example with amazon in duel you could scroll the screen and mouselock the guy and shoot guided arrows like hell straight at them.. if thats not a case about player being ungifted then what is?

And yes there are huge amounts of retards in Battle.net. I've seen it during 9 years.

I dont think the game is boring and neither do the thousands of people who played the game non stop over the years have but whats exciting or surprising about teleporting or running to durance 3 or the throne room for the millionth time...nothing!!!!! At least im sure thats how the vast majority of players feel.

About the other things that come with a MH...well I wasnt discussing those thats a entirely different discussion really.

EDIT: Zoobi has a post that better explains what im trying to say here...so read his :P

I vote remove PvP :-P it makes the game harder to balance, thus delaying the arrival of Diablo 3 to my hands.

PVP is probably what will keep the game popular and long lasting for the vast majority of players(especially if its implemented well and seriously for competitive play)...just like D2...unless of course the end game isnt running the same bosses over and over for eternity and its totally amazing and has tons of varied and interesting encounter to keep us entertained for a very long time!!!(not gonna happen lol)

I am not really 100% sure of that but I started my RPG gaming from text games like the Ultima series and D&D as mentioned above which later became PC adaptations with titles like The Dark Queen of Krynn or Pool of Radiance. They were the first isometric RPG games. Of course I agree that Diablo is not an RPG.

Look at this screenshot of Pool of Radiance - EGA graphics (16 colours pallet)

haha omg I remember my older friends playing all those types of games....there were dragonlance ones like it to right? I think it was DL they played that was similar to that

A better question os what did diablo 1 rip off of lol....and I think the actual game formula seems to be derived and inspired from zelda and gauntlet....I could be wrong tho....

EDIT: shit you meant the interface lol....I have no idea where the basic design idea for the UI came from....good question tho

    Quote from "SFJake" »
And I have to say, why the hell did they call them runes in D3? Now, people think they can compare them in one way or another when they have absolutely -nothing- in common.

I agree with you on that man.....calling them runes will make ppl who dont research exactly what they do think that its gonna be rune words all over again and all good runes will be ultra rare lmao

Like everyone is saying it will almost positively be revealed at there next big event(probably blizzcon) and its probably gonna be some ranged type of class since all the other bases are now covered(melee and caster).

posted a message on Runes ?
Nothing is really set in stone atm other then the fact that runes will now be able to be socketed into a skill and will effect it in some way like making your lightning skill bouce like chain lightning or making mobs you kill explode....theres a few more I think we have seen but im not 100% sure on that.....id say some of the harder to get runes will have some pretty cool effects!!! :D

EDIT: someone on here surely knows the name of the runes that were spotted in the gameplay vids

    Useful yes, fun no.

It wasn't fun to skip all the content even more faster and easier.

It wasn't fun to see all the bad bosses beforehand and skip them.

Maphack was for retards and ungifted players.

In Diablo 3 we will see more of the area because of bigger resolutions, also the map seems to be slightly more visible. So a hack shouldn't be needed.

Nobody wants to skip content the first or even 10th time through, but when you have run a boring pointless dungeon with nothing to offer for the 1000th(probably a lot more times then this) time the fun is really gone in the exploration part.

Maphack being for retards and ungifted players has to be one of the worst comments ive seen on here in a long time lol....so I guess theres a lot of retards and ungifted players out there eh? Just because they were sick of trying to find durance 3 stairs and just wanted to find them faster.

    Quote from "emilemil1" »
Sure, because they wouldn't be as powerful anymore without their synergies.

The D2 way to make weak skill useful is to turn them into synergies, but it looks like if the D3 way is going to be powerful skills all the way. I'm happy that they did it because it should guarantee that no skills are useless.

Chances are without synergies those sills would be buffed to do similar if not the exact same damage as they do now, or then almost all skills would be rendered useless in hell

the main reason synergies were introduced in the first place is so that toons didnt have a ton of insane spells all maxed out in the first place making them very OP
