i just want the new Diablo to get Cinematics. the ones in D2 were just awesome. When i first got the game i kept playing to see whats next
3D graphics would be needed for the game to keep up with todays standards. Something like the Titan Quest dungeon graphics should be ok i think.

MMOGs are completely different than games like Diablo. Mainly cause in MMOGs u need to interact with other ppl in the world, and u need to group with them in order to continue your journey to the "end-game" content. Diablo always was a single-player game with coop options (same in battle.net).
Those Vivendi business plans arent proof the next diablo and starcraft games will be MMORPGs. Both those franchises are "potential" for MMOGs, not certain to be. Expect to finish the trilogy and get an expansion out before they make a MMORPG in the Diablo universe. Till that time WoW will be old anyways and they'll need another "cow" to milk

i only played HC in the closed battle.net. Technically i couldnt backup
still, even with those lag spikes the game is really intense and requires a maximum concentration to play. Makes u feel great when u see ur hardcore character grow over 80s or 90s

the recent Warcraft graphics (WC 3 and WoW) wouldnt fit Diablo 3 at all. The world for diablo needs to be dark. I wouldnt mind a MMOG in the Diablo universe (i doubt it before they finish the trilogy) if its as good as they usually make their games

when i played it was only HC. The thing is even when ur good enough to survive (or fast enough to press save & exit at some points) some stupid reasons like server lag or server disconnects can kill u. I lost move than 10 hardcore characters over 90 this way, most of them pretty well dressed. Anyways, if there werent problems like disconnects and server lag theres nothing better than that!

most of the names filed in there were out 1-2 years after being filed there. we should keep our eyes open for any "diablo 3" filed in there

multiple unannounced games in development (2 confirmed) makes it pretty possible to have both Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 sometime soon. Still, there's no solid proof of it so we cant be sure.

they might have changed that cause of Blizzard change of plans. Almost everyone believed they'd announce 1 if not both the still unannounced games they're making in the E3. Maybe they thought it wouldnt be good for the promotion of the WoW expansion to do so. First sell as much from it as possible, then make the market go boom with games like Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 (everyone thinks of those 2 when they hear "2 unannounced games" ^^)

Blizzard already confirmed they're working on 2 unannounced games except the well known WoW Expansion: Burning Crusade.

With the facts we have its more than possible that Diablo 3 is being worked on for several years now and it will be out sooner or later. In a link from the site from "gaming Steve" there was a Diablo 3 ad (the one i'm using on my sig) and a gaming site that said Diablo 3 would be released 12/31/2006. I dont believe its gonna be released so early but if D3 wont be a MMOG (no pay-to-play included) it will be a competition to WoW so it would make perfect sense if they try to sell the WoW Expansion some million times first before announcing and releasing Diablo 3.

WoW isnt such a bad game. The fact that its a MMO explains why it is "pay to play". And we pay for better servers (not too good but way way better than the ones on Battle.net) and new content (there is one major patch including world events every 2 months at least). I'm not saying its better than Diablo ofc, its completely different. Only in Diablo it feels like home, but its really harder and more challenging to play WoW now. Especially after lvl 60 when u need to group and work as a team with 40 people for the harder dungeons.
I'd stop WoW any time if D3 came out. But till then its ok to have.
