Like most people my suggestions are:
1.) I would mostly like to see new items added to compete with the current "godly" items. (don't delete anything just broaden the choices)
2.) Content/lore to tie into D3
3.) New area and/or harder dungeon with a new boss
I would be stoked with any one of those changes.

Aug 21, 2008moonshine posted a message on Diablofans - WWI Card Tyrael Pet ContestPvP Suggestions:Posted in: News
1. Give all players the ability to attack anyone in game, but it will cause you to go into a hostile mode for a certain duration of in game time. This would keep players from attacking someone and exiting the game just to come back and attack them again while unhostiled.
2. Give all players the ability to decide whether they can or cannot be attacked, PvP on- PvP off
3. Implement some sort of PvP specific reward system such as items that give bonuses to +Damage to Players. This way people playing PvE will not be required to get PvP gear to advance in the game.
4. Have a duel consent option in which players can wager items/gold in a mini-inventory type screen.
Trading Suggestions:
1. Keep the barter system. A player driven economy gives both high and low players the ability to possibly get something they need.
2. Implement lower level super unique items. Not all great items in the game should come at the end. Give some items an extremely low drop rate, but available early in the game. This would give new players or people that start playing long after relase the oportunity/rare chance to have something valuable in the player economy without having to reach the end boss first. Some item examples could be very rare gems/stones/reagents that are extremely sought after early and late in the game.
3. Item linking. Its a great idea many people enjoy. Included with the item link could be the option to request a trade to the person. A box will pop up that you put your items into that you wish to trade and hit submit. The person recieving the offer would get a little tooltip sign possibly in the topright corner alerting them they have an offer. They could pull up a menu which would have the player requesting the trade and a short summary of the items they offer(this could be in list form showing offers from multiple players). Clicking the player name in this menu would bring up the box they put the items into where you could look over stats and quality and either accept or reject the offer. -
Aug 13, 2008moonshine posted a message on Diablo MMO Hinted?i wouldnt mind seeing a diablo MMO. could be quite interesting and fun to play if done right. but i dont think thats what the next gen mmo will be. most likely something completely different. we still have probly 2 years until D3 comes out, maybe dec. 09 if we are rediculously lucky but i doubt it. and then possibly a year after that an expansion. so like 3 more years just to get to the end of "this diablo storyline." personally i would like to see blizzard do something completely different for their next mmo... give us something fresh and new to play. instead of the same old, kill stuff, grab loot, kill boss, grab loot, kill players, get honor, get loot... start new character, repeat.Posted in: News
edit: possibly a true horror mmo.. something that truely just creeps you out when you play it, gives you the chills and puts you on edge every minute your playing, never knowing what to expect. diablo was a little earie at first, but nothing that would have me turning on the lights in my house because it was so disturbing. haha, i think that would be a fun mmo.. something truely scary... makes you jump in your seat while playing -

... how bout they give us even a little information on the current project, D3.
none-the-less, im stoked the necro is comin back, just needs to be reworked to be more badass
edit: not saying they havent givin us any news apart from the video, but it is so vague and dissapointing -
Jul 12, 2008moonshine posted a message on Diablo III - More Detailsi like the idea of getting my own loot, it will suck when someone gets something i want and they dont trade, but it goes the other way too, im sure i will find something good that i wont want to trade. as far as the health globes.. it sounds interesting, it will deffinately require more skill on the players part this time around instead of just standing in one spot spamming health pots.Posted in: News
...kinda reminds me of like god of war or something where you will be fighting a bunch of monsters and then right in the middle you will have to run off to the side and smash a barrel or something to get a globe then go back to fighting. that would suck, i hope its not like that. but in the gameplay video a health potion does drop, so they arent completely gone yet.
another thing im thinking of... it says health globes heal the whole party, well what if some douche WD... which he said is a frail char. gets hit hard and needs life and keeps jacking globes while everyone else playing smart doesnt need them at that moment but maybe later in the fight, but the guy already used them all... thats really gonna piss me off. -

Jul 9, 2008moonshine posted a message on Official BlizzCast 5 Q&A Submissions1. In the gameplay video we saw three item qualities; white, yellow, and purple. Can you please explain the differences between each and the possiblitiy of other qualities?Posted in: News
2. During the gameplay video an "Elixer of Vitality I" dropped. Can you explain Elixers and the benefits and roles they will play in Diablo 3?
3. Can we expect to see "Acts" returning as well as the three difficulty modes?
-Will there be a difference between difficulty modes other than the monsters becoming harder to kill? (Eg. different areas to explore, more dungeons, new monsters, new bosses etc...)
4. With the announcement of a more Co-Op oriented game, are players still going to be able to finish end game content solo or will they require help from a group?
5. Can you comment on what kind of talent/skill system players will be using and how skills and skill points will be aquired and used in Diablo 3?
-Will the attribute system of Diablo 2 remain or will a new system replace it?
6. Do you have any information that you are able to share on classes other than the Witch Doctor and the Barbarian? If not, when will this information be available to the public?
7. What can players expect to see with the PVP system being reworked? -

here we can see clearly from the gameplay video there is a 1/5/10/20 progression. this was just a little sample which will assuredly change, considering some of the skills in there dont change with ranks up and cost nothing to cast.. they were soley there for giving us a taste of whats to come, but it seems almost certain they have done away with the 20 points max for all skills. i personally am all for this, there is no point in me putting 20 points into ice bolt which i never use just to max out blizzard synergies for my sorc. i would much rather have those points to put into energy sheild or frozen armor or something of the sorts.

yes this is true... he did state after that post tho that he was french and his english wasnt very good. none the less, it gave me quite a good laugh. but hey, at least hes trying, i took 3 years of spanish and the most i can do is count to ten, maybe. lol thank god for being seated next to the mexicans in class. cheating ftw

congratulations on achieving... (dramatic pause) nothing! there have been multiple interviews where blizzard has stated they are not changing the art style, they are happy with it, other styles simply do not work for what they are trying to achieve.
...i sure hope this "petition" doesnt pass or im gonna have to eat my words  stand firm blizzard!

hehe, well for your first post buddy you sure gave us all a nice laugh, at first i thought it might have been a typo and you meant diablo2, (i had to drive all over to get a new LOD key, 3 lod cds and no cases with keys ) but now im not so sure it was a typo. funny either way

haha, way off man. i think you clicked the wrong thread buddy. besides, your not signing anything, your clicking a button. i can hardly consider that a petition.

because of the simple fact that there has been such a gap in the time between d2 and d3 you cant expect everything to be perfect, besides every game gets patched anyways, they will release it, some people may complain about some things and if enough complain about the same thing they will most likely patch it accordingly. personally i wish it had come out a year ago, i cant wait until it is released. if i dont like the art style once i buy it and play it, i would probly send something to blizzard asking them to change it, as it is now i dont see myself having any problems with it, im not too concerned about minor details in surrounding structures and minor tweaks in art style, im more interested in the actual game play than the art. d2 has terrible art and graphics by todays standards but its a fun game to play, which is why im still on it most nights of the week. as long as d3 stays on par with the actual game play aspect they wont hear a word from me... other than my gratitude.

quick question on this small part of your post. while i am not at all in favor of there being a BoP system, im not entirely against a BoE system if done correctly as i stated much earlier in this discussion. my question is like you said you want to use items that "you spent time getting." with the way the D2 economy is set up, most people dont use anything they find (except for the early on items when your a low level), it is mostly items other people have found or duped. wouldnt you rather find that super unique item and have it actually be worth something? not have to find 40 of them for there to actually be any value to it.
i stated in an earlier post in this thread, if blizzard implemented a respec option, you wouldnt have to reroll characters, granted some people would just because... but with a respec option you can make one barb, and respec him whenever instead of having to roll 10 barbs just to get the last one right. with a BoE system, and not everything has to be BoE.. just super rare stuff, i personally think it would help the items to retain some value.
do i think blizzard would do this to diablo 3? highly doubtful, but i wouldnt be terribly upset if they did, as long as it was done correctly.

first of all, this is a diablo fan site, it is not a diablo debate site, or a diablo anti-art site. if a staff member wants to post something in support of diablo 3 on the front page of a site that is dedicated to diablo 3 i see absolutely nothing wrong with that. if he took your advice shmeeleemaster i believe it would completely contradict what this site is about, it is about promoting diablo 3, not about being bias/non bias. in my oponion this entire site should be considered bias towards diablo 3.
as for this next post...
this guy has gone so wrong in so many directions it just makes me laugh... make a game from scratch using previous games? contradiction anyone? never played wow cause it "suxed" ummm, how do you know it sucked if you never played it? just as none of us have ever played diablo 3, how do any of us know what it will be like when it is finally released?
one more thing i want to point out to shmeeleemaster... the first few days after the gameplay trailer was released and the petition came up, the forums were flooded with anti art posts and sign the petition posts and this is whats wrong with diablo 3. it seems to me for the most part this outburst of rage has subsided and there are less and less of these posts. but you said, what people are subjected to the most influences them, while i do believe this is true, the two articles pro diablo 3 art style is nowhere near the hundreds of posts that were made about anti diablo 3 art on this site alone. based on this according to your theory, you would think most people would be in favor of your opinion, considering there is much more written on that subject.
there is a difference though between a well written article such as posted here and the many incoherent arguments that generally say the same thing such as in the forums about anti D3 art. one well written article has much more influence on people than hundreds of complaints about one thing.
by the way.. this was way but just my 2cents

this is not an original idea, you may have been the first to post it on this site, but the eastern sun mod created several years ago has the shared stash in it, and its quite a nice feature i might add.

if it was an account wide stash why would it be limited by the number of characters on the account? then everyone would just make 10 chars or w.e to have full stash space. if they did decide to make a shared account stash i dont think it would be based on the number of characters in the account, i think it would more be a set limit of space for all of the characters that you decide to create. a person with two characters in their account would have the same amount of space as a person with 10 characters.

i have to disagree with this one. most of the outdoor area most certainly was not static. entrances to dungeons and different areas were constantly moved around everytime you start a new game. as far as act 5 is concerned, if i remember correctly most of the general outdoors was fairly the same, as in shenk was always in the same place but key points constantly changed around, such as the lost soldiers. but yes you are right, the dungeons were always random

making a stash that carried over to multiple accounts might cause some kinds of problems with different people accessing other peoples stashes... as far as one stash for all the characters in a single account, should be fairly easy to do as its already been done in the eastern sun mod. it is deffinately convienent and time saving. i would vote yay in this respect

very well thought out and put in simple terms

to be clear i never said once in my post that a million people should vote, i did however say that it should be a majority, as in half plus 1. please read the statement fully before you start bashing. also to be clear, its a petition we are talking about, not a survey, yes surveys are random. petitions are aimed at a specific person voting a specific way.
