    2) Finally there is another weapon that we can use besides Wand of Woh. There is a silver lining on the horizon that the weapon slot might not stay a one-way street.

Wand of Woh is kind of over-hyped/overrated anyway. As you go up in difficulty, it becomes increasingly less powerful simply because going toe-to-toe with mobs is less desirable. Being that Greater Rifts are time-based, the importance of minimizing deaths and maximizing damage is tenfold. Thunderfury is still our best weapon choice, but I'd rather run with Serpent Sparker toward end game over WoW. I guess my question would be... are the changes to Hydra good enough to warrant it being on par or better than Thunderfury?

That said, if someone wants to bitch about something, how about the completely PITIFUL damage of lightning specs? If anything deserves a buff, that does.

posted a message on Would weapon swap be harmful or good? Would it build diversity or another BiS cookie cutter?
I can't think of enough situations where I wanna hot-swap my weapons really. Back in D2, people mostly did it for magic find purposes, and that's not an option in D3.

If anything maybe gear "sets" which would actively swap spots so long as the gear is in your inventory. Why? Every time I see a shrine/pylon, I'm swapping out bracers to spawn a champ back. I sometimes like to swap out my ammy at a moments notice also (I'm looking at you Arcane Immune). I can't think of anything else off the top of my head, but gear set hot buttons would appease everyone.

I'm curious then - in a rift, do you:

    1) Ever pass by a single mob in hunt of a larger pack?
    2) Fully explore a map, even though you found the door leading onward - eradicating all life before proceeding?
    3) Continue completing even after the rift boss is downed?

I'm largely doubtful all three are true, which means you're missing out on possible loot... and kinda makes your points moot.

I think this is a bad idea. At least in it's current form of revealing a cave of goblin packs. I already feel like I'm missing out on loot if I don't open every chest or destroy every breakable I find, as I get more legendaries from those than actually killing monsters. I don't want to also feel like I miss out if I don't click every loose stone too. Then we might as well remove all the monsters and just make the game all about clicking stuff around the world. :/
This ideology of missing the "loot that might have been" amuses me. You're worried about not hitting a loose stone that might uncover another path that has a goblin that might drop something other than gem/gem/arcane dust/arcane dust/yellow/yellow.

Sounds like you have been playing a little bit too much of Wildstar :P
This is spot on. I think an injection of random Wildstar events into a game like Diablo 3 would not only be sweet, but fits perfectly. Something above and beyond Moontooth Dreadshark being guaranteed to pop outta some rubble. They've forced Rifts on us as the only (read: most efficient) way to farm because they're not exploitable, but there's a fair amount of complaints because of their monotony. Bounties are a means to an end (Rifts), so added things like this "goblin cave" could have merit. I think TIMED dungeons with ultra-hard end bosses and no rez save through a friendly player is the way to go to add excitement to the game.

posted a message on "Farming" plans
Playing in Torment 1+, I have rarely gotten any plans for crafting blacksmithing gear. However, I noticed while farming for a Ring of Royal Grandeur on Normal that I received a number of plans (somewhere around 6-8) and few non-plan drops. I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this or it's merely RNG. Theoretically, it would make sense as that you aren't eligible for the Torment drops, and numbers could be adjusted by Blizzard so you could upgrade several slots through a single drop.

I think I'd use the set amulet and the rare pants, personally. Unless you really want that 100 vitality set bonus.

IF i found breeches with 60+all res, would switching help? That would be a big chunk of vit.

But, 3% dr on my ammy is pretty good, so i'm not 100% positive.

I'd say breeches with 60+ res all would be a no brainer personally vs the rare pants. While you'd be losing some strength, you'd be gaining quite a bit of effective health through total health, and armor. The resists on the rare pants are the biggest draw to use them.

Act I is pretty easy though. You will find that in Act II, you will probably need more defensive and have to drop even more offense. For example, you might have to get tough as nails and superstition, and you will have to work iron impact in probably at the cost of wotb.

You're still doing more dps than when you're dead.
This is pretty true. The basic cycle of Inferno is: Start Act I as tank, get better gear so you can go DPS, beat Act I, farm Act I with DPS gear if needed, start Act II as tank, get better gear so you can go DPS, etc.

The hardest part of this is in Act III, trying to transition from a tank build to a more damage-oriented build. You can manage just fine as a tank throughout Act III, but you kind of hit a ceiling as a damage build where you still have really awesome gear, but the damage you take is still very large. I'm thinking that only the very best gear will allow you to comfortably do Act III as a damage-oriented build.

Ugh. I learned this the hard way. I tried hitting Act 3 a number of times in a zillion different specs and gear swaps all utilizing a 2H weapon. No matter what, I'd get crushed. I'm still in the act of collecting gear for a more tank oriented approach zooming around Act 1 with 200% MF with both WotB and Earthquake to mow champ packs down (usually only one of the CD's is needed per pack). I'm not going to bash my head against the wall trying to push through the acts undergeared, so I'm content for now.

You do know that posting that something is spam is also considered spam, right? Let the mods decide what's spam.

Anyway, back on topic: I don't see how the rune from the 1st day might resemble a Nef rune. It's a Shael or the one from Arthas's sword (which also might be a Shael rune, the Lich King could have developed a love for Diablo ;).

It doesn't really CLEARLY resemble a Sheal... but then, when rotated, it isn't CLEARLY a Nef rune either.

It's just a theory. A new one that I haven't seen else where, so you can :spam::spam::spam: me all you want. Since when does low 100 posts give someone on a board much authority to say shit about the "newcomers"?

Yes, everyone noticed the following... just recapping:

-The CSS images are numbered 04 and 15

-Which makes makes people assume it correlates to "D" and "O" respectively and that they will eventually spell out "D-I-A-B-L-O"

-The 2nd rune to appear is definetly Hel, unless you're completely blind, but the first rune seems to be speculated as being Shael as that it's not clear

I don't think it's Shael... I think it's Nef. If you take a look at

    http://www.diabloii.net/wiki/Runes

You'll notice Hel is... yep, #15 and Nef just happens to be #4. My bets are, we're gonna end up with the following runes:

    D - 04 - Nef
    I - 09 - Ort
    A - 01 - Amn
    B - 02 - Eld
    L - 12 - Sol
    O - 15 - Hel

    Or perhaps upside-down?

Whatever it is... I'm yet another person with a chubby for another Diablo game.
