that is correct. i never go there, too toxic. but just look at the facts of my last post: "Last edited by head0r: 2 days ago". your response is the first after two days on a very important topic regarding this whole community on this board. that is extremely telling of the sad state the diablo franchise is in.

Ineed, lucky for Blizzard they don't have a real competitor for A-RPG games online. I wouldn't call POE the competitor, POE has some issues among them being the fact that the combat feeling is shit compared to diablo 3. I was waiting for Lost Ark but seems I've "Lost interest"

The moment a better game than diablo comes, with as much fun combat mechanics diablo 3 will be forgotten.

Very true. Don't get why there are not more good ARPGs. The combat in POE is just shit for me. I've tried many times and I just can't stomach it.

Umm not really. Get on the PTR and see for yourself. Yes we can do more damage but we have not gained much in the way of toughness.

thats what you said and i gave examples. at least 6 that i remember off right now, thats something. but anyway, i guess we were talking about different things, i was talking about defensive buffs, you were talking about doing GR100 with these defensive buffs. there's a difference there, and in that perspective yes, the defensive buffs are nothing.
Cheers! Sorry I was not more clear as you are right. I was referring to the buffs getting us over the 100 GR hump. It will be very interesting to see how this all plays out as that will be a goal for many of us after patch. I know I want to try and get there on more classes than just my necro. Made all the more challenging as I only play solo.

you were misinforming people by saying defensive buffs are close to non existent. i informed people that you were wrong by stating a few examples. if you still think you are correct, please disregard this reply as there is no point in continuing this conversation. have fun and good luck in your farming.

I never said they were close to non-existent at all. You were implying there are lots of defensive buffs. This thread is about doing GR 100. That is not going to be easy for everyone and the reason is because of the damage chars take at that level. Please get on the PTR and report your results. Until I see that I will believe you are the one misinforming people. Have a good day yourself and no offense meant.

It still won't be that easy to get to GR 100, everything will need to go right for you. Most of what's changing are buffs to damage but the mitigation on most are still the same so even if you can go a couple of tiers higher your chances of survival will be slimmer.

erm... what? there are a lot of toughness boosts on the ptr all over the place

Umm not really. Get on the PTR and see for yourself. Yes we can do more damage but we have not gained much in the way of toughness.

akkhan, jade, band of might, uliana are just a few off the top of my head, but yeah, feel free to misinform people.
Yeah why shouldn't I? Obviously you do

    Quote from Abob»

Fetishes do not block Gargs from attacking, that was fixed years ago Gargs have a massive reach and can attack mobs they dont even appear to be engaged with.

The problems youre seeing with Gargs not attacking are twofold...

Firstly they all follow a rule of engagement that they don not attack until the hostile mobs have, so if you drop a piranha on a pack before theyve moved gargs WILL ignore them until the piranha effect has finished and the enemy mobs can move.

Secondly a few patches back Blizz made a change to Gargs that means they will happily continue to attack mobs off-screen, this change was made to force the player to resummon the Gargs as Blizz didnt want Gargs to be a passive summon once and forget them. although one Garg does stick by your side and continue to be a bodyguard of sorts.

Now knowing that the above is the intended behaviour for gargs it is possible to game this system and get Gargs on the right pack by moving beyond the pack you wish you to attack, its not always 100% succesful but it does help.

Personally i think this change was made to Gargs by Blizz because it will make the Necro appear to have better programmed pets making more people want to pay for the new pack, its also my opinion allbeit tin foil that they may be dumbed further yet

Thx for the nfo. I did not know this stuff.

Wow! Just don't get the attraction to the fresh start. This is the 10th season. How many times can you do the same thing over and over again? Seasons offer me nothing now that I have all the stash tabs.

well, I mean you could say the same about nonseason. How often can you do the same thing over and over again (GRifts with the same equip and build)?
What's special about a season start is that you have to deal with what you get. Creating a build is the most fun in these games, at least for me. Once I have this build completed, it stops being fun after a few runs. It's the same in other games like PoE. Leveling and seeing how your build slowly comes together is what's fun. Grinding the endgame maps over and over again is boring af.
What you say is very true. That's why I am currently playing Grim Dawn. It takes no time at all to get to level 70 in D3 and then your easy gear gift comes to you. After 10 seasons I do not see that as any different than playing non-season. It is all just doing the same thing "over and over again". Right now this game could not be more boring and until we get some new things to do it holds no attraction for me. Just my opinion.....

Really glad I will never have to meet you irl. Someone who sees things as that black and white and who also paints everyone with the same broad brush will struggle their whole life long. Good luck, you're going to need it.

I was refering to the ability to customize the game's interface - to me its a must and as a paying customer i can voice my opinion on game features as much as anyone. Playing with a convinient UI is very much needed for me. I i no way endorse TurboHud, but in the context of my previous responses i stated that it offers that much needed UI customization and provides valuable information.

Since the poster before me stated that that its not really needed - well for me and for thousands of others it is. I couldn't give rat's ass about map hacks and other unfair advantages, but actualy being able to track your cooldowns and procs without staring at those miniscule icons on the bottom of the screen is a game changer.

dude, you are all over the place. you want a better UI. you say you dont condone the use of turbohud. you acknowledge that its necessary for a better UI.
blizzard's game is what it is. if you dont like the UI, then go play a game to your liking.this thread is about turbohud and cheating, not about how well you like the UI. Go start a thread about user interfaces.
jeezus, people here cant grasp the one simple thing....turbohud is CHEATING! you can sugar coat it, rationalize it. hate it. like it....but, use it and you risk getting banned, as you should be.

As far as can be determined noone has ever been banned for using Thud alone so whether Blizz considers it cheating is up for debate imho, no matter what the EULA says. In any event the point is moot. The site is down and Thud is no more.

posted a message on upcoming changes primal 14/2 pluepost

This change to Primals brings nothing enticing to me whatsoever. If the endgame continues to be grinding bad Grifts then I don't see how a very low drop rate on an item that will grant very little more in terms of power is attractive.
