sounds like you just wrote a lil excerpt on diablo.. seems weird

Maybe it sounds like that to you.
The point is I would like to see the item system of Diablo II classic return in Diablo III. Everything else is just an explanation of why.

I am sorry if this has allready been mentioned here, but I didn't feel like reading merely 1000 posts in the search of something that probably aint there.
From what Medieval said I understand that Blizzard takes over diablo3.com from june. But when is the exact date? June the first?

posted a message on Item system
Well to begin with, I think the item system in Diablo II, Diablo II LoD and WoW all are very good.
Diablo II classic is dominated by rare items. Unique and set items are not the über stuff, but can still be useful because of special effects that can't normally appear on a given item.
Expansion changed that. Of course unique and sets still have special effects, but now they surpass rares on any area.
Set items still exist in WoW. I would say, even though there is no unique item category in this game (to my knowledge), they still exist. Because now all items are unique. The rare items have disappeared completely.
Uniques are cool! But I loved when everyone was using different items.
Rares are the true uniques, because an exact copy of the same item with the combination of effects and variation of amount that the items in Diablo II had, it would be as well as impossible to get exactly the same item twice (except duplicates of course).
Unique categorized items appearing rarely aren't really unique.
So what I am hoping for is a Diablo II rare item style dominated Diablo III, of course more advanced.
I also love sockets. Giving the player an influence on the items, makes them even more unique.

Please tell me what you prefer and if you have any new ideas to this subject.

Voted other even though I played both Diablo II and Warcraft III sometimes. I think I had something completely different as a main at the time but I don't remember anymore.

Undead because they got will of forsaken. A good match would be gnome with +5% int and skill to remove immobilize effects. Also they are very hard to click :o

    What does "Uber" mean?

Über is originally a german word with multiple uses. Translated to english I would say above or over.
There might be more opinions on the exact meaning, when used in games. Especially on other languages. But I would say it's used to descripe something very superior.

He's a joke compared to Duriel or Diablo, always has been.

I don't agree at all. Actually all random bosses could be insane, depending on what effects they have got. Multiple shots and lightning enchanced is in my opinion the worst thing to encounter when playing HC.
With a HC character I would never try to kill Hephasto with these 2 effects and extra fast. Duriel and Diablo is even though they are very strong, no comptetition to that because they are predictable.

    Voted Duriel too, no doubt.

But the hardest ever, was in Diablo II classic. It's been a while since I have seen his name but I am pretty sure it is Hephasto. The one guarding hellforge. I don't remember if he still get random effects but once he did and no matter what he has definitely been nerfed a lot since the beginning. I will never forget that maniac, extra strong, extra fast, teleport hunting one through the entire river of flame, healing when teleporting.
