The boring part of WoW is leveling and questing. The game only really starts when you hit the level cap and that's OUT OF DISPUTE.

The problem with naysayers and your regular WoW-haters is that they never reached the point where the game really starts. You will hear them criticizing the quests and killing trash mobs as if that's all the game is about, because they simply never advanced past that. It's actually like a noob-filter. It doesn't allow noobs like that to enter the end-game queue because that's reserved from the pros. So when you see people complaining and quitting WoW, that means the game did a good job filtering out the noobs.

too true! now that wotlk has been released i hope they at least speed up the levelling process again as its kinda annoying levelling thru irrelevant quest after quest just so you can get to the end game content. wish they made some of the old world raids into lvl 80 raids so they wouldnt be wasted spots on a map... not much fun 5 manning an old 40 man instance full of crappy lvl 60 items. they should just up the levels of the creatures and give people a reason to go back to em.

duping started way before d2... remember diablo 1 when you could drop an item, click on it from a distance and pick up a pot out of ur belt at the same time as picking up the item and presto! 2x items.

The fans have a right to have a concern about the way the game looks. It is a pretty dark rendition, I know. I was trying to capture the feel you have in the Durance of Hate or other dungeons. We're all trying to voice our opinions the best we can to help blizzard get the best end result that we feel stays true to the series.

omg u have your gamma set so far down you cant see anything... since when was trav that dark? looks like you've edited the picture and blacked out the edges

i cant believe how many complaints i have seen here after only a week since the game was announced. as long as the gameplay stays true to diablo form what is there to whinge about? i remember when i saw lut gholein for the first time and thinking how bright that was in comparison to diablo 1. most of the haters here seem to make comparisons to wow. fair enough, wow is not to everyones taste but graphics are only a small part of a game. hell diablo 2's graphics are crap but people still play it due to the addictiveness of the gameplay.

the graphics in diablo are only the first thing you see... how many people actually care how 'dark' the game is after the first time they complete the game? its the extensive loot options, the fact that you can play for 1hr or 10 hours and still feel like you are getting somewhere (unlike wow where very little can be done in an hour), its the fact that you can level a character relatively quickly then upgrade it with loot, its the fact you can get your lvl 90+ char and join a low lvl game and go in and wipe out everyone playing in the game hah.

seriously, stop your whining and wait till game release then make your judgement. if you dont like it dont play it!

to all those people who say the game isnt "dark" enough... is your memory not good enough to remember the deserts, the forest and the snowy plains in d2? they seem much lighter to what d3 seems to me....

posted a message on Diablo3.com becomes Diablofans.com! Blizzard acquires diablo3.com.
blizzard has waited for a long time to aquire the diablo3.com website addy. they have been picking up other foreign sites for years but have let this one run for a long time. considering how secretive blizz has been in the past with releasing games my guess is that they are well advanced to be acquiring the diablo3.com web domain. why give the world a hint that something is coming until the last minute.
