    Hi,

I'm interested in join your group for efficient t6 farming, I'm currently playing with my crusader, but I also have a m6 DH, a FC barb, a carpal tunel monk and a FB wiz, all of them are pretty well geared, with the exception of my wiz I guess. My average solo runs at t6 are about 4-6 minutes. I can do in 3 minutes with my barb with a good density. here's my profile: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/RatowaR-1945/hero/45739397

I'm usually online at 3:00PM to 8:00PM (PDT).
yea just PM in game and let me know.

GOD I feel so sorry for your wife and kids having to put up with your stupidity 24/7, if they stick around for the long haul they are saints!

First off, where did I say people haven't "played enough to be good" or "played enough hours"? WTF is up with idiots always misquoting people? I guess they think that people might think they are smarter for doing that? IDK
If you genuinely want a meaningful discussion on this you should really stop with the insults. It's really what will differentiate yourself from the countless complainers of the game that you can't have a serious discussion with because they're either too immature or too stupid to have a debate that doesn't resort to petty insults in order to get your point across.

At this point this thread should just be closed if all it's going to come down to is name calling when someone presents an opposing opinion to your own.
We have been more than understanding and open with many people who did not agree that were civil. Go read previous post, people directly trying to be rude, will be treated so in return. It is the way of the world.

Reading through this, it seems like Hyperion came here to vent a little (totally understandable, I probably would have in his place), but also did present some very valid points and issues that I happen to agree with. If many of you had taken the time to research what he was talking about instead of starting to flame at him right away, you might have actually seen what he was talking about.

Yes he comes across as "emotional" but he plainly stats at the beginning of his post that he is irritated at blizzard, if you are able to be totally emotionless and not express ANY of your anger in a post like that after getting banned from blizzard forms, then you are a saint. Just because he is somewhat angry does not make his points any less valid.

From what it seems, Hyperion was being very civil and carrying on a decent discussion until people started flaming at him and call him a QQer and at that point I don't blame him for becoming more hostile, it is very irritating when you are being civil and people come in and start making obviously hostile accusations intended to insult. Even with people insulting him, he was very courteous to those who made attempts to carry on a good discussion.

All in all, I think Hyperion has made some very valid points and seems like a decent player and a decent person even if he is a little hotheaded. I think this discussion and many like it would go much better if people took the time to think about what the OP is saying and consider peoples point of view before posting.
Exactly, thank you.. We have told many people who even disagreed or had a different view point on the OP that were civil, that we get it and ty for sharing. Some people come on here shooting bullets and get upset when you fire back.... What a concept act like a dick get treated like one...

you all take the fun out of games. Balance this...Fix that....do it or I leave. Then leave already! Stop crying and go. Blizzard already got your money! Sure I'm no hardcore player and not running 40+ lvl Grifts, but I have fun playing no matter what class I play. People say classes are broken..why? Do their moves not work? Is there no gear? no no no...let me guess one class does more dmg than another class. I think this is a trend with Blizzard players..just like in WoW people think they can cry and bitch enough so they "balance" the classes. That ruined WoW...shit why not D3 while you at it....or a better ideal try thinking outside the box or once and make the classes work for you.
No the problem is. previous blizzard games were based off of quality over quantity and money.. That is the issue, now a days people are handed shit on a silver plate and they go, "Well at least it is on a silver plate." And they accept mediocre.... That is the problem blizzard is catering to people who just get on and casual play, what makes them the most "money" and that is fine to make money, but to spit in the face of every loyal customer from the beginning is bit much bull shit. I would say at least 80% of the people posting on this thread have no idea wtf they are talking about.

ive a great solution to grifts solo post 40

nerf the shit out of the dmg taken , as if billionairelifepool guardians and minibillionaire leets crapping all over your face with all kinds of affixes isn´t enough i´ve to fight them for this reason from a screen and half away 75%of the time as "super easy demon hunter destroyer of worlds"

how do melees enjoy the game? they don´t they force themselves to be supportsluts for the ranged dps and call worth it.

redicoulus scaling on hp and offense regarding mobs making it extremely stupid to gear against.

here are 2 unities and follower trinket use these at some point or get rekt.

here is this set u must use this because without them your class is doing pathetic dmg for grifts

there are 2 options right now as DH personally how the game works solo

get lucky with density and mobtype + pylon

cheese the AI with LoS and staying out of range from their affixes

    "i can roll a dh and do t6 grifts+ in 100 hours"

thats a pretty hilarious statement - 100 hours might net you a few crappy rolls of legos and a few setpieces you go and try higher grifts with shitgear see how it goes - i dont take regular rifts into account because of the fact how powerful gems are if you´ve 3 of em slotted.

Back ontopic - blizz doesn´t seem to have a lot of manpower dedicated to d3 and it´s on very low prio

the fact we´ve gotten a "ladder" which is already extremely skrewed by griftXPloits shows how little thought and disregard of feedback has gone into it.

"blizzard the density and maplayouts in grifts is terrible"

"OMG ITS NOT IT STAY HOW IT IS"

this is pretty much the tl;dr version of how they reacted to the feedback regarding grifts.

TONS of RNG in Grifts leading to russian roulette leaderboards - playerskill is taken out of the equation as soon as oneshot unavoidable mechanics skyrocket (jailer mostly for ranged ontop of that electrify for melees and orbs for everyone)

some of these are avoidable electrify for melee can be hardly avoided as in they either skip em or have an ignore amu with shitty rolls or if they got lucky with good ones.

same goes for DH Countess or stack toughness like a bruiser because ye man i totally want to TANK THINGS but because the scaling is infinite and redicoulus solo (no warQQ no mantras you get the point)

Seasonal Weapons - What were they thinking?!

2HBow shooting Bolas , the most undervalued and unused skill in DH history the laughing stock of generators gets a seasononly item as if it would magically make it useful. yet again a failure of an item (perhaps in grps its argueable)

anyway i could come up with a lot more complaints but these are for me personally the most pressing ones

    -lack of diversity among classes

    -cookiecutter syndrome

-insane hp and offense on mobs past a certain point balancing edps and ehp seems impossible forcing you to cheese content

    -lack of new itemization

-disrespecting and disregarding complaints about elite affixes dmg implementing grifts as sort of a beta with shitty layouts and density overall

Overall this is a game i always take a break from , but always come back to after a major patch to see what´s poppin.

However i gave up on giving feedback for years now to any blizzard game yet alone post on their forums since they seem to live in an autistic world where they are always right and the customer is wrong

"why cant we hoard bloodshards past 500?"
"Because we dont want you to hoard"

really? just one of many examples an actual blizzard employee responded to this minor "issue"
You pretty much nailed it ... Anytime I try and bring something up to them they more or less say shut up your wrong lol.

I'm not saying it can't be done, just that you're seriously overestimating how easy it would be. You're not considering what changes you suggest would do to the game when that's all Blizzard does when they develop new ideas or try to balance the game. They purposely take their time making sure it wouldn't be overpowered or effect other aspects of the game before make such "easy" changes.

Vanilla shouldn't be a part of this discussion because of the gear changes made in 2.0. Before that everything was viable because we didn't have elemental damage and specific affixes for every single ability a class has. That's ridiculous to even compare a game which has practically nothing but stats on gear to a game that has so many affixes for every ability. Yes vanilla was more balanced, because we had less options in terms of gear customization.

They did this to themselves a bit in not testing Seasons long enough on the PTR, which is the only way to really recognize these sort of issues. They focused more on testing the development aspects of Seasons instead of balancing the game around Seasons. I have a strong feeling this will be rectified come Season 2.

To reiterate though, viable does not = GRift optimal. Viable means you can play the game with a build and be successful in it. GRifts should NOT be a part of viability discussion because at the higher levels they're the type of optimal gameplay that the majority of the player base won't ever touch and are currently an extremely limited version of playing the game. Yes, a difference in 10 or so GRift levels for builds should be worked upon, but that doesn't make those builds non-viable, they're simply non-viable for GRifts and are perfectly viable for the remainder of the game. You have to look at the game as a whole, not just at GRift ladders.
The point of the game is to level gems etc = doing GR, so more viable builds would be nice. Good luck leveling gems with a pet WD etc. I mean the point of the game is to do the best you can, and that involves GR.. I doubt most people play the game to just do normal T6.

You say games like this have been done before, when honestly they really haven't. Sure there have been hack and slash games for the past 20 years, but none have been even half as flexible as Diablo 3 is, where you can literally play any spec and change base stats as you want without having to re-roll a character. Furthermore, other games in this genre still to this day have the exact same issue. Path of Exile is just as bad, if not worse, because of how their ladder system works where you're not just forced to play a certain spec but in most cases a certain class just to obtain a decent ranking. So I'm sorry but this isn't as simple as you claim it to be.
Yes they have been done before, not the exact same game no. And trying something new??? Sure I get it... However you can not convince me that it would be super hard to make viable aoe builds single target builds etc.... I can often 99% of the time see a set item bonus or a buff change and just from playing the game determine, yea that is not going to be viable or work... And I am usually right. Again I know balance is hard to make perfect but like 10-20 GR level difference in builds??? Come on man, and I know 2.1 is new and they aim to balance and I hope they do. But if the game was so hard to balance like you say it is, then vanilla would not have been adjusted so easily to balance the game out. Like hyperion said vanilla up to 1.0.8 had more viable build options than now.

what a stupid and useless post. the fact that you cannot play any class in this game does not mean its not balanced.

-top GRift achieved per class on non-seasonal soft-core.

    WD: 41
    DH: 43
    SADER: 41
    BARB: 43
    WIZ: 42
    MONK: 40

where do you see that "horrible unbalance " ? DH destroying erryting !!! " yet barb cleared same level of grift :o wow wiz is just 1 level lower and so on. the game is extremely well balanced for how many classes and skills and items there are in the game. just quit already and dont spam forums with useless QQ, if i were the blizzard employee who banned your sorry ass out of forums i'd just include game account in the ban.
You sir are a derp, what you are saying is no where near the truth. Yes some people may be on top with a class, but they do it with the same build we all have to use number 1. Number 2 they spam rifts for RNG and hope to do conduit gaming. Number 3 you have to look at all variables not just 1. So for example you may have like 15 barbs in the 36-42 range, and like 20 WD from the 37-42 range etc etc.... Go look at DH..... it is like 300 through the 36-43 range. Point being you can not pick and choose your argument based off of false information.. Think before you speak..

Most importantly though, the game will always,
This. And the most significant thing to consider here is that it doesn't matter how close the specs and classes are. It doesn't matter how small the gap is between the "most superior" and the chasing crowd. The players who care about that will all flock to the one top spec.

We've seen this in WoW. Talent or gear choices that were literally 1% worse than other alternatives were decried as completely absolutely useless, and it was accepted that anyone who played a 1%-inferior spec was a hopeless noob and should at the very least quit the game forever, or better still kill themselves for the sake of the gene pool.
That is the issue, there is a difference between a build being superior and having a close 2nd option/build... Then having a superior build that is 900 miles above anything else.... I agree with the post about the game being too item dependent, it really is. I have been saying this from day 1, the damage etc is all based off of % weapon damage, and any unique effect you get is from items... It is a poor design flaw simply because it leaves no room for actual level based diversity... Things they could do imo is add tabs in paragon that let you boost certain % damage of skills you like, and or boost % element damage, this way you could drop those Mage Fist gloves for something else etc... This is just a small example but it goes on to a much larger scale. It would let you play that Bola build that you like etc... I am not saying every build has to be the best for GR 35...... However, it is simply put like this. Do make a strong hungering arrow build, what it may lack in AOE make it crazy good at single target damage. Do make a strong Bola shot build, what it lacks in single target it makes up for in AOE... And this trend can go on for each class.... The issue with this game and how it was made is the fact that games like this have been done before, and at times blizzard acts like they are shooting in the dark and "testing" things this many years into the game. Like I have said I understand a new game taking time to work kinks out, but this game guys? Come on it has been out for some time now..

I can understand that it is frustrating, if bugs, glitches and random determine who's winning the competition. Personally i think that diablo itself is by design a horrible game for a fair competition, because random>>> skill, but blizzard decided to open that can of worms and now they have to deal with it, and they will. They did fine with starcraft. The community made them abandon the auction house. Imagine to convince Bobby Kotick that shutting down a cash cow for a better game is worth it :D I wouldn't be so sceptic. They took a new path for diablo 3 and thats competitive pve. We will see it polished.

@Communication: I love it when designers talk. From time to time this leads to broken promises, but i love to see how their games develope. I quit wow years ago but i still read mmo-champion on a regular basis, just so see what they do and why. Every path has its own advantages and disadvantages. Microsoft chose the "no communication" path with windows 8 and we all know how that played out. Behind broken primises, there is sometimes and interesting story, and sometimes a simple reason. Invoker-Set? They hadn't had a good idea yet. I would prefer them to fix this set instead of making new ones since the items till drop, and months before Loot 2.0 they said "Legendarys should not be 'is it awesome?' but more 'how awesome is it?' and worthless crap should not be part of the loot tables imo.
Agreed very much good sir, thank you for posting and sharing. Again another broken promise, loot 2.0 like you said was promised to be much better loot and the shine wore off fast and it became very lack luster.
