    yea noticed you have an awesome belt. Sorry if I pointed out some obvious stuff..

    Scout the area for hubs or big junction points on the map, do not linger in narrow passages. Just run through mobs and setup your sentries around those spots. Then kite mobs slowly in a large circle while re-locating a few polar stations along their path. This requires a certain treshold for the available population. If rift floor is not dense enough, you might rather skip small packs and aim for elites for progress.. If density and elite rng is both awful then it is better to abort for a fresh start.

    At first glance switching Stricken to Taeguk should make a noticable difference in dps performance. It is like a nitro boost if you somehow manage to keep the stacks up for the majority of the session :D

    Apart from that just minor things;

    -pants with dex/vit/AR, boots with dex/vit/AR/CA skill increase and helm with dex/vit/chc would be a huge upgrade for better damage/toughness optimization.

    -And I guess you are short of required cdr for perma-vengeance. Vengeance fall-off even for a few seconds is a critical loss for Marauder builds since 6pc bonus also includes vengeance skill now. Gloves should have dex/chc/chd/cdr

    Ofcourse I know it's not easy to find ideal items. GL

    One more thing: With perma-vengeance you shouldn't really need resource management.

    switch nightstalker with steady aim, and switch garwulf with Pride's Fall

    You can either change bracer to Wraps of Clarity for more toughness or Lacuni Prowlers for more dps.

    Without having a look at your current setup, there's nothing much to say about possible improvements, but since you have gone beyond 70, I assume you know how to handle things on that part :D

    You might want to check the monster progression chart posted on the home page a few days ago. It's very helpful to know which types worth trying to herd and kill, and which ones to skip entirely.

    I never compared Zei with Bott.

    You brought up some build(s) using Pain Enhancer instead of Zei.

    If you are comparing the simulation results in d3 planner, it would be totally missleading because you have adjusted PE stacks to 30, which is totally unrealistic. When averaging ups and downs in any given scenario, I wouldn't set it higher than 5-6 to have a fair calculation. With same logic I would set Zei distance parameter to 35- 40, to have an average and more believeable result.

    Bott is totally another story, with different variables.

    My final words regarding gems;

    Bott and Zei are top 2 choices for any Marauder build. I would not even consider changing those unless a superior new design pops up in a future patch.

    Taeguk is arguaby best 3rd gem whether you love it or hate it..

    posted a message on % Multishot vs. Crit

    With new DML quiver you get quite a chunk of MS increase, which leaves the addition from boots and helm rather small. Besides you must always have 6% chc on helm. The real trade is between vitality and multishot if you check with more attention. Previous patch put UE users in a situation where you had to risk everything you can to gain the tiniest dps increase, therefore having MS increase every slot possible was essential. But with new buffs, now there's a finer balance between dps and toughness, and 1000 vitality on helm is a bigger benefit than it would be with 15% MS increase.

    No I'm saying that a Zei's Stone of Vengeance is completely on another league as a dynamic damage multiplier.

    Damage you deal is increased by X for every 10 yards between you and the enemy hit. Maximum 5X increase at 50 yards.

    50 yards is a fixed maximum range but you can upgrade X infintely. There isn't a single averaged outcome. Each and every source of damage is calculated separately; you , sentry-1, sentry-2, pet-1,pet-2, etc.

    Zei treats each source of damage seperately, which means a massive amount of damage bonus for farther located sentries. While it may be limited to 50 yards, damage multiplier can be upgraded infinitely.

    On the other hand the proximity required to benefit from exterior bleed source is 20-30yards or smt. Even if you somehow manage to stay alive trying to collect those stacks from the group "bleeder", the attack speed you are trying to squeeze out is already overkill for MS version. For CA builds attack speed is maybe the least favourable damage stat, because they already get boosted from using a heavier weapon, higher base damage/chc/chd

    This is taken from diablo wiki, not any "advanced" source;

    Pain Enhancer is a Legendary Gem in Diablo III. It can only be socketed into Amulets and Rings, and drops from Greater RiftGuardians.
    This gem causes Critical Hits to apply a Bleed effect to the enemy. Each Critical Hit, regardless of Proc Coefficient, applies one, but they do not stack, only being renewed to full duration. This works even on pets and minions. Upgrading increases total damage done (and damage per second).
    At rank 25, it also increases Attack Speed
    for every bleeding enemy close to the player. However, it only counts
    enemies that are under any Bleed effect (not just the Pain Enhancer's
    own Bleed) applied by that player, their pets or minions. If enemy
    bleeds from more than one source, they will still grant one stack of
    Blood Frenzy.
    This gem is of most use to Physical skill builds. The effect itself has a Proc Coefficient of zero, and cannot score a Critical Hit (increasing flat damage proportionally to the Critical Hit chance and damage instead).

    And this is from Icy Veins;

    Zei Zei's Stone of Vengeance is another independent multiplier, whose range-dependent amplification can be easily maxed out by the long reach of
    Cluster Arrow Cluster Arrow. The level 25 property will add some minor control and safety to the build, as well as another proc for Bane of the Trapped Bane of the Trapped.
    Note that Sentries range is independent from yours when it comes to Zei
    damage bonuses, so spread them accordingly and don't get greedy for
    additional slows.

    Aptis

    Apart from anything else we had discussed,

    Why not Zei's Stone?!

    Why Pain Enhancer?

    Zei's Stone is the number one dps gem for Marauder builds because of the synergy with sentries..

    +2 sentries vs X2 MS below 60%.

    The skill increase on each item kind of even out eachother..

    I assume this number is the sum of all the knives hitting from that pinpoint accuracy FoK blast with 30 stacks of Greenstone and CoE on lightning, rather than each hit shown separately (?)

    I'm a trial/error type rather than napkin maths. I have played with all builds except LoN (couldn't collect right item combo).

    I have even messed around S4/M4 chakram build while it was OP for the first days of ptr. So I also have quite an idea (by experimemting) about what works and what doesn't.

    For the record I'm not a fan of Vengenace skill, but no matter what option I have tried so far, constant +40% dps, +50%dr, +10hps bonus is way ahead of anything. This is a very negative thing for the variety...

    The formulation of Marauder mechanics is more complicated than you tried to compare. Shooting Stars is best rune not only because of the skill's damage potential. It is a physical rune and guess what other skill we use in Marauder build has the same element? Yes it is Vengeance "Seethe" rune, and it is already buffed by +600% damage increase from 6pc bonus, before co-benefitting the elemental damage increase from gear. Sadly same thing wouldn't also count for MS because physical runes are rather gimmick/weak compared to fire or cold.

    I think it is "you" who is supposed to back his claims since I can't see anyone using a Zodiac ring or multishot with Marauder set among the entire leaderboard.

    There's more than enough data around. Youtube is bloating with build videos. There are already several well known top players releasing their own thoughts/ experience/ build guides on several sites.
