Even the idea that the cache contents (NOT the smart loot) are determined on receiving the cache has been shown to be false with the PTR. Copy a character with a few caches and open them. The next day copy the same character and open them again. Different loot. What's odd about this is that the blues have confirmed with no uncertainty that the cache contents are determined upon receipt of the cache and that the smart loot is the only thing that's not predetermined. So, the blues lied? Or they're misinformed by the devs? Or the PTR forces the caches to reroll? Who knows? I like to think of Diablo as the game that even the insiders aren't sure how things always work.

One thing I do believe 100% is that the junger thing is BS. The pity timer is so long that there's no way you can reliably take advantage of it. The junger method is just a classic example of the gambler's fallacy.

The next best option for most classes is almost certainly Witching Hour. String of Ears can provide toughness, Razor Strop is interesting but probably not the defacto replacement. The damage from it isn't that great in practice. I'd personally put it on the same level as most legendary belts.

    What?
RRoG comes from Act 1 Horadric Cache. Period. The end. That is the only source. I'm not sure how a Rift Guardian is even being mentioned as a possibility.
A4 bounty has all the other acts' bounty rewards too.
Very true. If you are feeling exceptionally lucky or bored of Act 1 then Act 4 is a possibility but just keep in mind that an Act 4 cache has every act's rewards on its loot table. That can sometimes work out to your advantage if you're not fully geared and could use some other items from other acts. The Act 3 neck in particular can roll out as well as any other amulet and the bonus is nothing to scoff at.

I don't think this "Junger " thing makes a difference but I'm also calling BS on the 1200 caches no ring. I could see not getting a trifecta but there's no way you've gotten 1200 act 1 caches and not gotten at least a crap ring. That's basically statistically impossible and if it really happened and it's not just a silly exaggeration then uninstalling the game isn't a bad idea because you have the worst luck humanly possible.

It depends on what off-piece you're using and that's assuming you're using a rorg. It would be easier to make suggestions if you posted a profile.

You'll need a tasker and theo if you want to run physical. If you don't have that it won't outperform fire.

Vault can be switched for smokescreen if you prefer. Archery and Perfectionist can be swapped out as well depending on preference and toughness. Running a generator can also be considered optional.

posted a message on My Comprehensive 2.1 DH changes Breakdown
First of all, he didn't attack you. At all. He posted an opinion which you said you wanted. Clearly you only want it if it's "Yes, I agree, you are like unto a god bdon1987." You are getting attacked in the Blizzard forum, but that is to be expected. You could be 100% right and be attacked there. However, you're not 100% right. Sorry, that's just how it is.

Don't get me wrong, we have a lot of useless skills. However, they're useless at high levels of play, when you should be focused on M6 anyway. Strafe is bad at high torment levels, I agree, but it doesn't have to be good. If you want all of the skills you mentioned (and you mentioned most of them) to be viable, you play Normal - T1. They are viable there. For the casual player, and there's nothing wrong with the casual player, they are viable.

For T6 play, for better or worse, M6 is where it's at. Be glad that it's not limited to one single element. Patch 2.1 proposes some good changes and almost all of them are for the better. Yes, M6 is still the king, but we will have more than two viable elements and more flexibility in our chosen spenders. There may even be a T6 viable build that comes out of Shadow Mantle and Nat's set, although it will be very gear specific. Most builds in the game are now unfortunately.

Get M6 and see if you still feel the way you do about the other skills. They are stepping stones. Things to level with. Things to play on lower torments with. Things you can enjoy if you want to but they are not going to make every skill and every build T6 viable. It isn't just DHs, all of the other classes have the same issues. Not every skill is a T6 skill.

Ghom T6 campaign or T6 adventure clear the hellrift. I realize it was supposed to be nerfed but it's still pretty outrageous for time/effort spent.

You ask for an opinion and people give them. This is just the people that chose to respond. You'd get more responses like this if more people respond. I'm gonna throw my opinion in as well, my WD has half your toughness, no unity, and I'm fine in T6 solo and especially group play. My mara DH on the other hand... I like him but if a couple off-screen anarchs charge at me I'm in trouble.

The fact is, 12m toughness you shouldn't die that much, even to the "unavoidable" stuff you mentioned unless that toughness is from inflated HP and not "real" toughness. Still, with WD gaining resist from int, even with inflated vit you should still be pretty tough. In short, youredoingitwrong. Witch doctors will be fine. If you have trouble here, stick with the WD because anything other than a straight tank would infuriate you.

posted a message on Is there a build for optmized groups?
The best single target zero ramp up time build is going to be full fire with full fire gear because you have to take the sentry builds off the table. I find it to be boring and won't do it even in a high DPS group but if that's what you're looking for that's what it is. Cindercoat, magefist, fire SoJ, aughilds fire bracer / shoulder combo, fire neck. Cluster arrow damage on anything you can get it on, companion dmg on shoulders if you can maintain 4-piece Mara (which I recommend)

Just search for the fire cluster arrow:loaded for bear build if you're not familiar with it.

It's not a bias. I could care less. Like I said, my dog isn't even in this race, because it's not BiS for any build. I'm just telling you that I've run the meter. You can call it BS if you like. Lots of people won't run the meter due to the third party thing but I figured it was worth it. Numbers on a spreadsheet are fine, simulations are fine, but I want to see what happens in the actual game.

I've seen your posts, everyone knows your style and I figured you'd respond as such. You didn't disappoint. To be honest, I like your posts. I find them consistent and entertaining. You can disagree with my "bs meters" and quote your stats, I'm personally going to stick with what I've seen with my own eyes. The beauty is, we can both believe what we want and play how we like. It's wonderful!

The actual question was, can T&T be gambled from Kadala on a DH? Yes, they most definitely can. That's where my pair came from and a friend's DH got his pair from her as well.

I understood you just fine, you just like to be contrary for the sake of being contrary. You also like to be insulting when someone disagrees. That's fine too, whatever makes you happy. I have equal fire and physical equipment for every other slot, my magefists are actually BETTER than my T&T gloves. I've run the DPS meter myself but if you'd like to just accept what other people have researched for you that's your prerogative.

If we're talking about what "playstyle" I like, it wouldn't be any of these. It would be a full lightning build with a Kridershot. This is certainly not optimal, definitely does not do the most DPS, and wouldn't be called BiS by anyone. But that's my playstyle preference.

The way I see it you have two options. You can go for extreme cooldown reduction to allow you to set down sentries faster or you can abandon 6-piece marauder and go full damage, which would inevitably be fire. I hate to even suggest it, the 6-piece marauder is very effective and fun to play, but if you're working from a 10 second sample a full fire build with cindercoat, magefist, aughild shoulders/bracers, possibly even andy's fire helm (I prefer marauder helm with crit and cluster arrow damage myself to allow me to keep my zoo) is going to do more damage than a 6-piece build.

The fact is, 6-piece has ramp up time and without CDR that ramp time is even higher. When you have four sentries down and you're firing as well, no way is a straight fire build going to outdps you but that doesn't matter much if you can't get more than a single sentry down. Your group comp unfortunately makes a sentry build of minimal use.
