posted a message on Theory on Necromancers in D3...
I was just reading up on some of the lore of the Diablo Universe and came across this

    Q u o t e:
Along with the creation of Sanctuary came the creation of the Worldstone (and Trag'Oul - though they are unaware of Trag'Ouls existence).

Inarius created the world stone to hide Sanctuary from the eyes of heaven and hell. When Tyreal destroyed the world stone I think it may have inadvertently killed off Trag'Oul.

    Q u o t e:
Trag'Oul is a massive dragon on whose back the world lies. He is worshiped by the Necromancers of the Cult of Rathma, and in return he supplies them with spells.

If Trag'Oul is dead then the Necromancer will not have their spells and not be necromancers anymore...

Quotes are from the Diablo wiki: http://diablo.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page

Just speculating on why their making a Witch Doctor instead of a necromancer (if their not making a necromancer that is)

There will be 5 runes in total, in diablo lore something or rather happened where someone was sealed in the hall of mirrors using 5 runes, something like that. The 5 runes will correspond with the whole letter-number CSS matching thing to spell out diablo. I dont see how its wotlk related if the fucking game name is showing up peice by peice. DIABLO.

If the picture looks like a purple Overlord then it's Inarius. if that's the case and it's the Chamber of Mirrors... interesting character to show if no one really knows of him unless you read the books and remember the info from the Diablo manual.

I'm sorry but who the hell is Inarius? ^^

"In the Diablo: Sin War trilogy written by Richard A. Knaak, it is revealed that Inarius along with other rogue angels and demons are responsible for the creation of Sanctuary and the Nephalem (Angel and demon hybrids with great power). Inarius wished a Sanctuary away from the constant battles between demons and angels as well as create his own High Heavens which would be greater than the original. However the development of the Nephalem's powers infuriated Inarius making him want to start anew by eradicating all the Nephalem. This brought him into conflict with Mephisto's daughter, his romantic partner Lilith. Due to the conflict between the two Inarius banished Lilith. This is because Lilith desired to be a tyrant with an unbeatable army under her control while Inarius wanted lowly worshipers. But before Lilith's banishment, Lilith had killed all other angels and demons on Sanctuary preventing Inarius from destroying the only sentient being left on Sanctuary, the Nephalem because Inarius did not wish isolation. And so Inarius used the worldstone to prevent the Nephalem from developing their powers, reducing each succeeding generation's powers until they became the mere normal humans of Sanctuary. Inarius also used the world stone to mask the existence of Sanctuary from his own Angelic kind in the High Heavens. He then later created the religion Cathedral of Light to make the beings of Sanctuary worship and serve him."

    Edited: Grabed that from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_non-player_characters_in_Diablo#Inarius

I have my own speculation as to what it might be. After mephisto was killed and his Soul Stone Destroyed what happened to Inarius? I'm thinking all that blue is the chamber of mirrors.

"Mephisto himself is said to have appeared at the cathedral of Inarius. He laid waste to the church and the surrounding countryside. The Lord of Hatred took the proud archangel and his followers captive. He bound Inarius with tremendous chains and slowly tore the wings from the back of the angel. Great barbed hooks were then used to stretch out the once glowing skin and his features were distorted by vile powers. Many of the followers of Inarius were given as gifts to Baal and Diablo, but the rest were molded to match the bloated image of the now crippled angel. To this day, Inarius is said to be trapped in Hell within a chamber of mirrors, his eyelids torn from his face as he is forced to gaze upon his misshapen form for all eternity."

So Mephisto is dead and Inarius was betrayed by the council and his followers corrupted and turned into demons. I would think he's a bit pissed off and is ready for some payback.

    That's my "theory" anways.

I've been a lurker on this forum for so so long. but now I post.

I wonder what rune word their trying to go for?

Edit: well for each day, from what we see so far, is a new rune. So the rune word starts off with Shael + Hel. We have 4 more days until the Invitational. What rune word can be spelled out if they release a new rune in each splash?
