    posted a message on Immersion
    I never thought I was actually in a game, but there are other definitions of immersion. I would consider I have been 'immersed' to some degree in games at times (like Diablo 2, especially seeing story/cinematics develop). I don't really get in to games anymore like I used to...
    ...In fact I think I've lost my appetite for video games all together. After playing AoC for the last couple months, and getting into university, I have slowly stopped wanting to play any video games at all. The only game I have touched in the last couple weeks is minesweeper a bit. Maybe D3 can turn me back to the dark side.

    I've always been drunk at school dances/graduation. Also, I don't really get hard-ons from grinding. Maybe I used to when I was like in grade 9, but I'm desensitized by now. It's just dancing (and possibly butt grabbing/making out).

    Omfg, I saw this coming a long time ago. Welcome to the New World Order and Orwell's world. The governments continue to merge, and continue to take away the citizens civil liberties. Who dares oppose them when all they have to do to ruin your life is turn off your chip? (Won't be able to travel, have any type of money, not technically be a citizen.) Fuck Bush! Fuck Cheney! Fuck those super powers behind the scenes that manipulate everything and everyone to achieve ultimate power.

    Nebraska? Where's that again? japan? :P

    Anyways, although I care not for American Football (or any kind of football, for that matter), I share your pain stalker. I both play and watch basketball all the time. I have been the victom of MANY bad calls before as well as seen many bad calls during games. I could go into them, but I don't want to waste my life away with such numerous blatent calls.

    One of the worst, however, is back in grade 7. I was playing in a small house league and I was going back on defense to guard the guy who had the ball. Then the center of the opposing team picked me up by the neck, turned to face me towards the ref (who WAS looking) and then put me down. The ref just continued on his way. And yes I know for a fact of what he did, my parents and teammates witnessed. He also clothe-lined me a few minutes later near a ref (can't remember if he was looking or not). After the game, my parents talked to the owner of the league and got him fired. =/

    In grade 9, some big black guy on the other team punched out one of my friends on the court after we scored a basket. Also I've been called for goal tending, I think in grade 9 or 10, when I could barely touch the rim on a good jump. Funny stuff.

    And sorry if I angered you Nebraska fans. I don't follow college football, and I'm sure they are a highly skilled and respectable club. But just a really shitty name imo. The ability to husk corn doesn't seem very intimidating to me.

    Nebraska's team is called the Cornhuskers? Haha. They deserve to lose just for that name.

    June 28th or 29th are significant dates because these are the dates that D2 and LoD were released. However, knowing blizzard I would not expect D3 to be done before this time next year. June 28th 2010 would be more reasonable imo.

    Save that shit for Starcraft 2, or just stick with Dota.

    Diablo is about long-term building up of characters, an Aeon of Strife-like game wouldn't be compatible.

    In all seriousness (is that a word?)
    Yes, it is.

    this thread has got hilarious after all those female Tyrael and "3 Tyraels running around" mentions.

    Is there any point in discussing this any more??? :P
    Oh come on, didn't you read the OP? Tyrael destroyed the Worldstone, and then became human, losing all his powers and skills, and then became cloned an infinite amount of times, and half of those clones had sex changes, and even though he's human now, the home page has a picture of the angel Tyrael just to throw us off the truth!

    As KayDo says, 'its VERY plausible', I'd be surprised if this didn't happen personally.

    You guys don't seem to understand. The point of Diablo is to play as a human being overcoming the impossible tasks of taking on the evil or non-caring supernaturals. There will never be any angel class, ever.
    I understood. I'm just very sarcastic.

    The whole point of playing these RPG's is to make your own destiny from nothing, and triumph over the all-powerful opposition.

    Yes, I can see it now. Starting out in act 1 with my level 1 barbarian, smashing tiny fallen with a little hatchet, meanwhile SICK_KPWNZORS (level 1 female Tyreal) floating next to me with Azurewrath and full plate mail armor on, getting swarmed a bit too much and being killed by 3 zombies, even though he had battled 1 on 1 with the prime evils before.

    And even though Tyreal is kinda like the protector/guardian of sanctuary for centuries, all NPC's will treat him like a newcomer they have never heard of. Tyreal will no longer just be a character, but a people! Yes, yes... I think it's pretty likely blizz will make this happen.

    Edit: Oh, and when you take off his armor, there is nothing but shadow. And when you equip a circlet, it just floats like a halo.

    posted a message on What type of monster do you like?
    I want a huge diversity of monsters, and really scary monsters. Zombies and fallen are fine for warm-up, but I want huge fucking abominations roaring at me and statues coming to life right next to me. I think it's awesome that some monsters climb up the ledges to reach you. Also I'd like to see less of those annoying ass leapers, vultures, and those phase-shifting guys that shoot lightning (forgot name sorry).

    I want to be scared to go into a dungeon, kinda like how I felt when I first played Diablo 1. Except with a more sense of danger and fear of what might show itself.

    posted a message on Tyrael the new bad guy
    Quote from "Creuzebek" »
    I was thinking why did Blizzard decide to put Tyrael in the Diablo 3 home page and I came with the idea that he would be the new main villain of this sequel. Why?

    1. As I already said. He's the main character featured in the D3 home page;
    2. He was the one that broke the World Stone (see the last cinematic of D2 series). Doing this he could be corrupted, possessed by Diablo himself. Maybe a shard of the stone was stuck in his chest. Who knows? But we all know that the World Stone was corrupted by Baal just before he was killed by our heroes;
    3. The (new) spiked armor Tyrael wears in the D3 home page reminds me the spikes in the back of Diablo;
    4. Tyraels figure was already used by Baal to deceive Marius in D2 history. Using Tyraels image to obtain the last soul stone;
    5. I might be very imaginative but this artwork http://www.blizzard.com/diablo3/_images/artwork/ss35-hires.jpg makes me think Tyrael is being corrupted/possessed just after he broke the World Stone. Please note his wings are burning red.

    If that idea was already mentioned, please disregard.
    Cheers

    Idea has been already mentioned many times, and it's just empty speculation.
    1. So? He's an important guy that's been fighting against Hell's corruption for centuries.
    2. Exactly, who knows, just guessing.
    3. He looks pretty much the same, the spikes are just smaller 'feathers' to pronounce his wings.
    4. How does that mean anything?
    5. Don't think it's Tyrael, a lot of people think it's Inarius, but again who knows.

    Just wait for Blizzcon, you will learn enough there.

    right click --> run as admin? I don't know, I have vista and it works fine. I would try to go to official website (blizzard.com) and go to patches -> WC3 and download the latest patch, should make it compatible. Good luck.
