We all took a spoonful of that meal. Some think blizzard just needs to add a little salt.

Understand it or leave it, but don't shit on people that give blizzard the feedback they explicitly asked for.

They asked for feedback on things that they should add, improve in terms of gameplay mechanics. They never asked for anyone's input on the visiion that they are trying to achieve, in terms of the art-style, nor the storyline..

Then, clearly, the best time to voice your concerns is when the product is finished.

Obviously, if you're allergic to onions and you see the chef putting onions in your meal, you should wait until he's finished to tell him.

What the hell do oinions have to do with colour, detail..??. Never heard of anyone getting an alergic reaction, or even dying from either.. You've got your analogies mixed up dude.

You're an idiot if you don't understand what customer satisfaction means.

Yeah, it's Blizzards game, but they're making it for the customer. If Blizzard made games for shits and giggles, they'd be poor.

Customer satisfaction can be a factor if the game fails to deliver once its out. Until then, its customer idiocracy that's being thrown around.. Uhh, ohh, I had a taste of an ingredient that's part of a much bigger meal.. The meal is not even 50% done, nor have I seen the rest of the ingredients that will go in it, but I sure as hell won't be eating it.. I'd rather starve myself to death then eat a meal that tastes so awful.

I said it before and I'll say it again, it aint worth a damn thing. You can bitch and moan all you want, the game stays as it is, and even if it ends up darker it'll be because Blizzard wanted it that way from the very beginning and not due to some stupid petition.. This new PC gamer/Blizzard interview will just confirm it.. No need for change, the game looks amazing.

Ohh, and, in your face Doppelganger!!! Muawahhahahahha.. And that's the way the cookie crumbles..

Sounds like apologism to me, sorry.

Based on facts WoW sold a fuckton, based on concervative marketing (wich is always conservative) Diablo + WoW = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.........KACHIN!!
So, instead of denial, or assumptions based on nonsensical reasoning, why not look at the trailer of D3 and try to form an actual opinion about it. For example the "opinion" that for some unnamed "totally making sense" reason D3 looks exactly how Diablo should look like and somehow supposedly Diablo never looked like anything Diablo should look like.
Let the "its 8 years ago" argument roll in, whatever is the most convinient. Its not like its unpredictable or anything.

My opinion is rock hard because its based on logic. As for the above reply, that still doesnt make any sense. A Diablo storyline simply cannot fit into a completely cheery type atmosphere..

I still think that there's going to be much much darker environments.. Bring a flash-light/torch type environments.. I honestly believe that they're trying to create a variety of different atmospheres, both for realism and replayability; while staying true to the storyline and keeping that evil/gorey feel.. I dont feel like it has to be just one element (ie, art-direction) that will carry the Diablo feel. It can be a few elements. For an example, in a cheery type atmosphere, it might be a combination of monsters, quest, music, changing weather(ie. thunder, rain..).. In other places it'll be a combination of the terrain, music, monsters and that dark art-style that we're all too familiar with.. Plus, who's to say that the trailer was even an accurate representation of the cherrier environments? By the time the game is complete, that part of the game could look like Hell... After all, the game still is in production...

And the taste has a bad aftertaste in many people's mouth, yet you try your hardest to discredit concerns based on what exactly?

Based on logic. An entirely cheery world, and Diablo storyline don't fit.. It = fail. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure that one out.

It is? Well if thats the case -and taking in consideration that a trailer is ment to "warm" people for your game, thus showing them the best you have, the stuff that makes people the most happy, many of them being Diablo's fanbase- then its less preposterous to assume the game will be even worse, that it will look like a complete rehash of WoW. But don't let that logic hold you from calling people who have a concern, people that might turn that tide, idiots.

    I agree with Daemaro.

As for your reply, you say,"warm people for your game.." I fail to understand this because from what I understand about Diablo 3, it is an over-the-top highly anticipated title.. With that in mind, I see no reason for them to show off their best of the game to try and get people to warm up to it.. I think that the game's name, and history alone is more than enough warmth for most fans.. I really dont see how, and why Blizzard would suddenly decide to take this game in a completely new direction, even though the past games did so well with their over-all storyline, and art-style.. I also don't see how they would fit the Diablo storyline in a completely cheery world, and terrain, hence being the reason why I believe that the trailer type atmosphere was but a 1% of the game and what we can expect.. Also being the reason why I'm not worried, and why constant bitching and moaning from some of you people pisses me right off.. If you take the game's history, and storyline into account, then it really makes zero sense for them to pursue a whole new art-style-direction for the entire game.. Its like trying to fit a squre into a round hole, it doesnt fit, and therefore it isnt going to happen..

If the havok physics take into count the weight and gravity of monsters ANY attack on a bunny is going to be awesome. Send it flying across the screen. ^_^

If i'm an idiot, then why do you think i'm even capable of ruining a game for you. What does that make you? Lets not forget the loophole of "a game that looks better" ruining "a game that looks fine". Nice asshattrickery you got there. Besides, how does someone thinking something is fine make someone else thinking something is not fine wrong?

Relax. All I'm saying is, I trust that Blizzard will deliver. The reason why I call you an iidiot, or anyone else for that matter, is because you're constantly bitching and moaning over a freaking trailer that doesn't show off even 2% of the entire game.. Suddenly the entire game is cheery, and colorful.. That's preposterous.!! I find it pretty sad that after all these years of waiting people are willing to wait even longer because they can't stand a little colour here and there.. "Oh noez, the world has evolved!!! What ever should we do now?!?" Do you people ever stop for a minute with your whining, and realize that maybe, just maybe they showd this part of the game on purpose? Most likely not. All that Blizzard is doing is trying to create a bit more contrast to the world, more replay value, so that it doesn't all feel the same, and doesn't get repetetive for you, the whiners.. In return, they get even more bitching.. Instead of constant bitching why dont you try to trust the developer for a change, they've always delivered with the Diablo franchise...

Does anyone notice the irony of disapproving the disapproval of people about an aspect of a game?
At the one hand you have people with a certain opinion about the change in art design, on the other hand you have people that claim to not find that change essential, but do try to talk asmuch shit as possible about people that formed a certain opinion about the art design whenever the opportunity arises. Hypocrits much?

You're an idiot.. Why should we let you ruin everything when we think that the game looks fine?

Didn't know Yahoo did this kind of thing. It's funny, at my graphic design class the teacher always says something along the lines of "don't clusterfuck your website like Yahoo" I can see why he says that now...

Honestly, that petition isn't going to do shit most likely. It's not as if Blizzard is going to come out and say, "All right, we was wrong, we suck at game design, we'd like to hire alll of you at dfans to help work on D3"

It might change, but that has nothing to do with the petition. It's logical progressive game development. All we needed to do was express our... disapproval, and they would have worked on it. The petition was childish.

Frankly I'm fine with the design. It's not game altering at all... And everyone saying they won't buy the game is full of shit.

You took the words out of my mouth over, and over, and over again... In fact, I'm so sick of replying to these types of threads that from now on I'm probably just going to quote your post..
