I like the chrono dude idea. I don't know what he will be like, but I know that he opens a lot of doors for original and cool spells. The name though, gives me some very un-gothic, red alert 2 flashbacks:rolleyes:

Maybe he could be the tall skinny guy I want so badly:D

well... Whathappens when the devil dies? does he go to hell? I think maybe he will live again now that the worldstone is gone and maybe some uberdemon sacrifices himself to let diablo gradually consume his body and soul. aAnd maybe... no I dont have a clue:rolleyes:

I think there should be a tall, skinny guy. Like me:D . I dont know about the class though, but I think a necro or a buddhist monk could work.

And then there could be the opposite, a pygmee. Not a bloody fetish, just a very small black dude. He could have skills like. No magic, but a lot of stealthy skills like the assiassin. and a poison skill tree.

    --> just a little brainstorm I had

    ok. I get it:)
I still think it would have been a great way of increasing depht and uniqueness of charecters. Mounts FTW:D

People dont want to wait for a ressurect and for mounting, it would make it a stupid World Of Warcraft type of game. Mounts also bring the risk of more bugs in the game, so no mounts for me ;)

I think you are completely wrong. I was thinking that you would summon the mount, and you would be on the top of it when summoning is done. no mounting. The ressurecting duration is just to add a bit more strategy to the game:
-should I resummon and become a more powerful warrior than that of now
-would I be dead before my sommoning is complete

All of my ideas are really to give the game more depht (deepness. dont know how it is spelled).

The summoning-duration could offcourse be taken away and add a diablo-style casting delay instead. That would maybe make it even better when I think about it.

And at last: IT WOULD NOT BE *** WOW! WOW have mounts, and thats cool, but they dont do anything but to transport you. This is a type of mount that would affect you in the same way as a mercenary or a passive skill. Some classes would be better suited for other types of maunts, and some, like melee chars with small weapons, would maybe do just as well without.

Actually, I always thought it was some kind of stupid that I never saw a knight of any sort in diablo.

Well it seems that I am one of those who spent most time on strategy forums:)

There is a lot here to edit, and items is at least half of the charecter

I would really like a mouse with more buttons:)
Maybe a unique diablo 3 mouse, or they could just add some options for the other mause buttons that are on a lot of mouses (mice WTF:rolleyes: ) nowadays.

I think that more buttons would increase the speed of the game and allow charecters to make greater use of skills like bone walls, slow missiles, cloak of the dark. Skills not used to their maximum potential becouse hotkeys are sometimes a mess. They arent bad, just not optimal.

    -Hi all

I am new here, but I've been lurking the forums forever. I'm looking forward to exchange constructive ideas and information with you guys (no the flaming I've seen lately). My first post will be a heavy one.... Here are my hopes:

I was thinking of something that could make the game interesting in the end. We have all experienced the excitement in discovering new skills and see how chars develop. And we have all experienced that somewhere between lvl 40 and 90, the game gets less interesting. My suggestions are these:

    Point 1:

mount at clvl 60. Well, people like mounts. They should have customisable looks, and require both gear and life to be fighting fit. The pet could have some skills and abilities suited for certain chars and add life. I am thinking mount=merc (with lvls skills and equips), but you’re on top of them. And we are talking Diablo. I think we can do something cooler than horse, ox and camel. Only imagination limits what creatures may have been enslaved in the world of Diablo.

    Basics for mounts:

*increased speed varying from mount from mount
    *limited but varying dmg output.
    *uniqueness
    *looks
*has like 50% of your life + its own. Adds 20% life to you.
    *special skills

Can be resurrected every 20th sec for a bit of money, and you can do so without being in town. Summoning takes 3 sec and you can be damaged while doing so. Dmg is equally split between you and your mount, meaning that the mount will always be first to fall.

    Point two:

Überskills at lvl 80/defeated hell baal. Skills that really changeyour character. You can only put one point in 1 of the 9 überskills each char has. The skills should be eighter new, powerfull skills, skill changers or other things. Examples:

    Sorceress:
    Lightning:
heaven strike: skill changer: this skill makes thunderstorm strike as usual, but realises an nova from the point of impact with the same dmg as your own would do if casted.

Sparkling Lightning: New skill: shoots a regular lightning, but it shoots charged bolts straight to left and right (from the lightning) as well. Synergies from lightning and charged bolt.

Lightning being: a creature created by lightning. Can tank 20 hits and 1500 dmg. Heals both during 60 sec. Deals lightning dmg to nearby enemies, triggers telekinesis when struck, massive lightning melee attack and nova when killed. No synergies.

    Fire:
Frost enchantment: Passive fire mastery: Converts 40% of fire dmg to cold and adds 1000 cold dmg.

Chaos mastery: Skill changer: firewall and meteor is spammable

Fire fly: All fire skills generate two homing suicidal fire bugs dealing 500 dmg on impact. Very effective with inferno.

    Cold:
Cold Overpower: Adds 200 cold dmg and adds 1,7 sec freeze duration to all cold skills(only)

Winter call: 50% extra dmg (after synergies) to all cold and all armors get eachothers abilities and dmgs added together.

Area sufficiation: frost nova, blizzard and glacial spike achieves an increased area of effect.

Other skills: I was hoping we could try figure out some new skills. What I mean by new skills is not just “instead of lightning dmg it deals fire dmg”. The skills should actually change the gameplay for the player. Here are some examples of different gameplays, or, in other words, examples of totally different ways of approaching enemies:

    -hammerdin (spinning projectiles)
    -melee barb (meleeJ)
-fire bolt sorc (straight forward ranged attack)
-summoning necro (passive gameplay + corpse expl.)

    Guess I will start out:

Projectile collectors: This would be a skill for necro or druid I think. Small spirits flying around you (like hurricane). What they do is to collect projectiles fired at you and deal them to opponents when you get close enough. This means that if you are a little careful you can blow off 50 attacks occasionally, and the skill also acts like a shield. It has a rather short radius; a little smaller than that of the druid’s hurricane. When it all spirits have collected their projectiles, there no more shield.

Each spirit gives 1 % chance to collect.
    Lvl 1: 10 spirits
    Lvl 10: 20
    Lvl 20: 30
    Lvl 40: 50

    Reduced effectivity in PvP perhaps.
