posted a message on Possible Barbarian pet build?

I wonder if Barbarian Ancients pet build has some potential:

    http://www.d3planner.com/926399385

note: Shoulders and Bracers replace with

      • Bracers of the First Men
        • New Legendary Bracers
          • When Hammer of the Ancients hits an enemy, gain 75-100% increased attack speed for 3 seconds

      • Fury of the Ancients
        • New Legendary Shoulders
          • Call of the Ancients gains the effect of the Ancients' Fury rune

It uses full IK set including IKBB weapon. The idea is to spam Hammer of the Ancients that with Remorseless leg. power summons aditional ancients.

Ancients generates fury with Ancients' Fury rune obtained from new shoulders (see above).

The last skill I chose is Ignore Pain - Mob Rule to boost survivability of both player and Ancients.

    Thoughts?

I would say WW bonuses would work additively, not multiplicatively. Otherwise I got feeling it would be way too powerful without spending enough efford.

Everyone values stats in a different way...
I have no argue about people valueting (is that even word? dunno, I like it anyway) their secondary stats. but with release of dropping the same items with new unique affixes, they are gonna switch their old for new as everyone else. So I don't think for having those stats would do them any harm since they will want to find the same thing again either way.

If you are using gold gear, you already have items with unique stats so nothing will change. But tell me who nowdays use items with no special effects like Skull Grasp. Little to noone. Like your example with gungdo. So I don't see doing any harm in this way to the players.

What sec to replace? I would say the 2nd one, since the first one can be elemental resistence which has a value to everyone. Or if you enchanted secondary stat (either intentionaly or not) this can be replaced so if you really miss that stat, you can enchant it again on place the other one, or if you did that by mistake, you got blessed to enchant any primary stat like planned before.

Impossible.....sounds like madness and we all know Leonidas' respond :)
As long there is a will, nothing is impossible, the only question is if it's reasonable.

Legendary affixes take the place of one of the 2 SECONDARY existing affix or primary affix (for weapon). I don't really care whenever they take away gold find or bonus exp affix from my item and replace it with unique I wouldn't miss them at all.
You have just said that there wasn't retroactive change before. The same thing I said in OP. And that there is no reason to do it now. I stated the reason (again) in my OP.
So I don't see your post added any value to the topic.

What matter is that every single piece of legendary I would find now is gonna be forgotten soul in the instant cause a)it's crap and will stay crap b)it's crap and will stay crap if retroactive changes won't apply c)is ok, but already got better version of it.
Not speaking of every single piece of legendary I got stored in stash and mules that will already give me enough forgotten souls.

I know that Diablo developers do reatroactive changes only to set items and we need to re-obtain legendary items to get their new stats.
This was made for the reason that players don't just hoard single piece of every item in their stash and wait if they ever get "buffed".
But since next patch will(?) introduce ancient version, in this case doing retroactive changes to current legendaries we already own wouldn't make any harm since we will still need to re-obtain again their ancient versions.

My barb I use for T6 rifts, bounties and 20-26 grifts. I don't care about leaderboards, just play for fun. I upgrade my gems with my DH in grifts. There are no gems in profile page cause I keep my gems in stash and share them across all my chars when I play any of them.

Like I mentioned before, gems I use are Teaguk and Bane of the trapped, 3rd gem is pain enhancer but I plan to switch that for Mirane or something else.
I have absolutly no problem to maintain Teaguk stacks, just hit WW button every 2 secs once while moving or even WW all the time even if there is noone nearby. If they fall for some reason (lazyness) they stack up fast in longer fights and the added armor is priceless against those area dmg affixes monsters.

I haven't played her much lately so gear is nowhere near perfect but she does her job well.

BTW Hexing pants are awesome ! ! ! If you worry about stuns, you can replace SoJ for Wyrdward. Light %dmg is minor lose at over 70%, you get 25% raw dmg instead 29% elite dmg, you get your STUNS!, some CHD if your lucky so at the end you can end up on at least the same dmg af before if not higher and you can replace your frenzy for something else.

posted a message on How do _you_ gear up alts/new mains?
I do rifts with my strongest character on T6, collect blood shards and once I get 400+ I switch to the one I wanna gear up and gamble for set pieces (and offhand) I am looking for. Once I got all set bonuses I wanted I play that char and get the rest just by playing. Now in 2.1 I do low level (up to lvl 15~20) Grifts on this char and cross fingers for weapon and jewelery.
Same when trying to get act1 bounty ring. I do about 10 bounty runs T6, keep all the caches rewarded in stash and open them one by one on character that's looking for the ring.
