Really liked the break down here, i'm a huge fan of changing up my wizard build on the fly, keeps me interested, but i do find that although what you are describing is an optimized build, you can build just about anything.... its what i love about D3.

Electrocute- Surge,Disintegrate-Volatility, Frost Nova-Bone Chill, Frost Armour-Crystallizeand Meteor-Molten impact.
