I play Diablo since the first demo release in 1996 (or was it 97?) which included only the first 2 levels and a warrior class. I was 8 by then and didnt know English at all (Im from Czech Republic), but that didnt stop me from being instantly sucked in and it never let go. I remember, that my first self-learned English words were "large" and "axe" using dictionary and this was basicaly the start for me. Thanks to Diablo (and later other games, perfecting it in WoW) I can speak English quite fluently and it even resolved into me correcting my English teacher´s pronaunciation sometimes :) The most memorable is an argue over the word "Butcher" which he pronaunced as "Batcher" :) Thanks Decard Cain and nameless dying fella by the church!

Wow, didn't know that. I guess I'm too much into the offensive hc-hero mentality, so I favor the softcore weapons the most.

It's definitely a very good stat roll for a Sky Splitter, and with a high base dmg too; the regen is indeed nice (I guess it's the only weapon with that sort of regen).

    Anyways, best of luck :fret:

I have been using that weapon for like half a year before paragon was introduced, then made like 30 paragon levels with it (solo). And guess how many times i died - zero. Sure, i could get crit gear and heal myself with life steal weapon, but that was several bil more than my budget was.
The other weapon that has regen is WD knife last Last Breath, and that one realy sux.

Oh in EU hc market sky splitters are quite common. There are some builds which benefit from high stats and regen more than life leech due to low dps output (support WD for example). Also, its great starter weapon to keep you alive in party when you are low para. Also, its budget. This one was the best in AH and was easily worth 25mil :/ Sold much worse ones for 2-5mil.

You, who just bought 1060 dps, 300 int, 100 vita sky spliter for 2,5mil in AH, that was facking typo becouse of missing commas, it was supposed to be 25mil. If you have any sense of morality, give it back for the price you paid for it. I cant afford to lose money like this becouse of blizzard idiocy. Show some compasionation for fellow HC player.

Dont be stupid people, ofc its Malthael -_- Then only Imperius (he is corrupted by diablo, making him Fallen archangel of Wrath) and Adria (Diablo essence in her) remain, and my idea is that the ultimate "end of the franchise boss" can be some Tathomet consciousness in the depths of all 9 hells, a place where all demons are spawned from lets say Tathomet's original heart, just as angels are born from Anu's spine and where did all banished souls of the 7 demon lords went, forming back Tathomet, or at least his manifestation in form of fire and darkness, fighting you with 7 heads, each using different skills, on stages like WoW boss. Thats MY idea and i would love to see it. Np Blizz you can hire me i wont mind.

If you play defensive barb and you could survive fire for such a long time, you could as well let him headbutt the wall, be ready in the opposite corner and leave. You would most likely survive the 10 seconds cooldown.

Idd dogs do dmg like flies, but they are very hard to kill and atract mobs pretty well. Garg is nearly able to solo stuff and definitly can tank basicaly anything.

Definitely witch doctor. I too used to be wiz player as well(i actualy remember you from wiz forum by Tali avatar), and since i converted to WD im enjoying the game much more.

    1) You got training playing caster class
    2) WD is the least gear-dependant class
    3) WD is great for soloing thanks to its ability to summon several very durable tanks and passive spirit vessel making you basicaly immortal
    4) WD has many viable builds and buff spells you can choose from, so you are not limited to playstyle you dont enjoy. Ignore what you see on forums or youtube, those people are 99% softcore going only for efficiency and thus using only 2 different builds with minor tweaks.
    5) WD has the highest chance to survive dc. You got army of tanks to attract enemy attention till you log off. 1 gargantuan + 3(4) zombie dogs + enchantress using maximus summoning tank demon + spirit vessel pasive.

    Quote from florestan

I have 61k Life (to your 87k) and +500 All Res (to your +750)

actualy its around 1100 all res i have... and mp1 is comfortable, but not as fast as mp0. The problem i have is i cant move to mp2-3 without getting more dmg. But i tried to use Skorn i found (1,4k+ dps, ias, 300 int) to boost my dps a lot, but man i was taking serious beating. That shield does rly more than people think. Blocking off several mortars each valley, hearing blocking sound in arcane beam, getting hit by elite mongrel might atack during lag and it says "blocked" is simply priceless.

So my conlusion is no, i propably wont give up my shield. It simply belongs to HC. And ill get more dps eventualy.

You can actualy earn all money you need for lvl 60 just playing HC.

That's no different than SC. Prices on HC are just 1000 times higher, both for selling and buying.

Yes, you can make a few 100k from selling leveling items. But once you hit lvl 60 you realise that even the most common set and legendary items ( like IK boots for example ) cost 20 million...

Yep, then dont start with top set and buy normal rare... thats what Hc is all about - slow progressing and enjoying the game where you still have something to look forward.

@rencol, thanks for the information. Your explanation makes sense but it doesn't really helps to promote more players to play HC. More players participation would results in more drops equal increased chance for more great items. It's a win win for all players when there are more players getting drops. Hence it would lower the price for items if there are more great items available.

Ok how about this - your chance to sell anything bellow lvl 60 on softcore - basicaly under 1% chance. On hardcore however, leveling items are highly desired and finding lvl 8 rare chest from skeleton king adding a lot of vita + something else basicaly means 100k+ in AH. And believe me, it sells a lot. If you happen to find legendary 1H axe lvl 9 Ganzeniku with socket, it sells for over 20 milion. if it has socket and vitality, its over 30 milion. You can even buy good blue items from vendors by bundle (20x start new game till lvl 23 bracer with high vita high int/dex/str appear, buy 20 of them 4k each, sell 70k each on Ah very fast. Got it? You can actualy earn all money you need for lvl 60 just playing HC.

The really "good" hardcore items are more expensive than the softcore one, for one simple reason: In softcore, good gear means only eficiency, lazines, flexing, ego wanking... but in hardcore, it means survival.

And people know that. Zunimassa boots which would cost 5 mil in SC will cost 100 mil in hardcore. Why? Becouse you gotta pay extra to stay alive and saving money on such things means you lose all, not just few seconds efficiency.

Softcore player thinks this way "ok ill buy 50 milion in rmah, buy this upgrade for 50 million which will boost my dps by 3000, but ill lose some ehp, oh well who cares, then i can do my mp 10 run in 59 minutes instead of 60 and after it pays for itself ill sell it and buy better"

Hardcore player thinks like this "ok i have been farming for 1 month to have eneugh money for 1 upgrade, what would boost my survival most and yet not hampering my dps? *player thinks for 1 day* Ok lets put my old piece of gear on my secondary bacl-up character, then try if i can handle higher mp, should propably start in some lower areas and invite my already geared friend to cower my ass, must not forget to put everything into chest in case i die to d/c"

See what i mean? Also, there are very few bots on hc, making everything player-found and thus more rarer and more valuable. What would you value more in real life? Something made by thousands in factory or hand-made/growed by people who actualy care about it?
