Perhaps it was a publicity stunt... and the turnout wasn't what Blizzard was expecting [,so they pull the plug]. Ever since we found the trademark for another Diablo title, nothing, IMHO, based on rumors should be completely shot down/ ignored. Video game development is a serious business. When will "The Burning Crusade" be released? Is it already out?
I would think that there is to be some time between the two releases.
the butcher scared the crap out of me so i always avoided that quest, same with the skeleton king hehe. i actually went back to kill him once i was at around level 20, by summoning one of those golems... the golem owned the butcher in 3 hits
I played the original Diablo too. Playstation and PC. The butcher was easy. He could hit hard, but he couldn't open doors... I just picked up a bow and shut him behind a door that was next to some bars. Just shoot him through the bars. I reduced him to a petting zoo. There are lots of ways to beat Diablo, but it gets harder on higher difficulty levels
It takes longer than a year to make a game. It takes even longer to make a good game.
Blizzard keeps quiet because, as a business, they need to stay alert of their competition. Having WOW forms a great barrier to entry, but it is not enough. Different projects are undoubtedly underdevelopment, but if Blizzard up and anounces every little detail to the public, their competiton will likely plan against it.
I have read somewhere on d2.net that blizzard makes over a million bucks a day on WOW, it is almost evil. One would think that someone, or something, with all that cash would be able to expand at unimaginable rates, but no?

Having too many MMOs active at the same time would be profoundly stupid.

2007 pops up alot, but all of them are still rumors.
The longer it takes, the more goes in.
