This is not a shameless plug for Tabula Rasa, but I did buy myself a subscription and was playing it the other day when I heard another user complaining about the fact that Gods and Heroes was postponed and that it would have been a MMO.
Seconds later, many other users were following up with that player and it seemed as if Gods and Heroes was quite a big deal in the MMO community.
I know you all do not respect it as much as they do, but it does seem to be more of a Diablo style release than Hellgate: London.
If and when I find confirmation (or if any of you do) I will be sure to post it soon.
Interesting. Looked uncomfortable eh? That's a sure indicator D3 is up their sleeve.

According to our people on the ground, the Blizzard PRs "looked a bit uncomfortable" around this point. So that's welcome to the Internet the hard way, really.
I know it is starcraft, but reguardless... there is no way they start a game from scratch and complete it within two years.
Not looking good for the '07 projection of D3 thou.
Update! Here's a link to the original source article which DOES mention another Diablo 3 sequel as well. While it's still looking like D3 won't come out this year, this is a nice sign that they're not done with the series by any means.
More Diablo3.com news than Diablo3 news really. I, for one, believe that the publicity is an important factor leading in on Blizzard's final decision to deliver.
the necromancer's lair in ACT 5 was pretty gloomy....
Overall, ACT5 IMHO was no less gloomy than ACT2. Yea, it was pretty creepy when the vipers darkened the ACT... but shouldn't that clue you in on how storylines are built, more than anything? Think back... ACT5 was in the middle of an invasion. It starts pretty, but then you step outside the camp-- into a warzone created by something that resurrected the king of terror-- just to find that it is all what you make of it.
The fact that it should stay hack n' slash is not up for debate... uhh... Diablo 3 can certainly afford to take on stronger RPG characteristics, but not like those of TES. Maybe it is because the only compelling thing I can derive from TES is graphics and size... it's hard for me to say because I never really played Morrowind or Oblivion any longer than the few weeks I was hooked to it.
From the top of my head: strengths and weaknesses between classes and the like should be emphasized. Let Blizzard nerf what it will, but please-- for the love of god-- establish some order. For the PKers, the crawlers, the fiends... for everybody!
Even before seeing that MSPaint video, I have always been defending the power of MSPaint against so many. It is highly underestimated. You may not have all of those fancy features (that come with a hefty price premium), but, as you can see, those bendable lines are very robust. Did you see how he took out the remaining pencil scratch by alternating painbuckets? I don't argue his skill, but give some credit to MSPaint too.
I have read somewhere on d2.net that blizzard makes over a million bucks a day on WOW, it is almost evil. One would think that someone, or something, with all that cash would be able to expand at unimaginable rates, but no?

Legally, they are only obligated to register Diablo 3 as a Trademark, and they have done so already.

Reguardless, who honestly wants to rush the development of D3?
Honestly?
If this petition is under the assumption that Diablo3 was truely cancelled.... then I do want to give a hard time. Tell me what's up Dark.
