Well I am a junior member now, but unlike some other junior members, I cannot make one.

I too came right before Blizzcon, but I just typed diablo3.com in my browser, and here I am.

I disagree.
First off, there is no 'movie area.' In addition, it didn't 'said nothing to do with movies;' It did. And finally, the US Patent Office is not, 'not true,' or 'false.'

I too hated the mercenaries, but I hate all action rpg games that involve a second player following me around, it is just irritating, takes focus away from my main character, and calls for more strategy (which i like, but not in such a way). Multiplayer is different, I don't need to necessarily heal them every f'n five minutes, they don't *always* walk through hordes of monsters for no apparent reason, and they pick up and equip their own items == more time for action and my character.

Like in Divine Divinity, sorta, but not so simple (simple as in Divine Divinity was simple, not your idea). It lets you pick an element, then choose blast radius, range, # of spheres/cones, very clever.

Same here, only one option: do not use an avatar.
There are two buttons: save changes and reset fields, no upload.

As of today, Blizzard.com has a picture with information about one of Diablo's novels. They are defiantly trying to (re?)-increase awareness of the series.

No, characters are letters (alphabet letters) in the patent office. The most information you will read out of this form is from the 'Goods and Services' section. This will tell you what to expect, at most, not at least, from the Diablo title.

The US patent office allocates search sessions per visit, so no direct links will function. Below are some directions on how to see what Sage and I see

1st: click the link, --> http://www.uspto.gov/ebc/indexebc.html
2nd: You will see three columns: Patents, Trademarks, other. Click search(TESS) under the Trademarks column and Trademark EBusiness
3rd: Click 'New User Form Search (basic)'
4th: Fill in 'Blizzard,' for the 'Search Term.'
Note: Be sure to assign 'Owner name and address' for the 'Field' parameter!!
5th: Look for 'Diablo.' It should be the first one (There is one for Diablo I, II, and one for LOD, but LOD says LOD, LOL).
5th(cont.):Click 'Diablo'
6th: Enjoy!

I allow you to read it as you would, but since you brought this up, I will go ahead and reply, mainly because someone else had brought this up when I dabbled into the patent office before. Other games have been brought to light less than three months after being filed, The Burning Crusade, for one. I am more than familiar with Blizzard's release dates over projected dates, but in the best case scenario, any glimpses can be less than a quarter away.

I still think D3 will be either the Blizzcon beta, or the one hinted within the Blizzcon beta sign up form XP

I have read somewhere on d2.net that blizzard makes over a million bucks a day on WOW, it is almost evil. One would think that someone, or something, with all that cash would be able to expand at unimaginable rates, but no?
