When 2.1 came out I took my level 58 demon hunter that I haven't played since 1.6, and in 5 days got full marauders, tasker and theo's, a good SoJ, a decent amulet, a very good kridershot, a very good buriza, and a very good bombadier's rucksack. It really doesn't that that long to get the legendaries that the guides require.
As for fresh 70 builds, it really doesn't matter. Use skills that you like, copy the max gear builds as best you can, it doesn't matter. Just have fun with what you are doing. Just do rifts and gamble, you will get gear soon enough.
Get sockets in your weapons. Emeralds in your weapons will give you over 100% crit damage each. Rings and amulet should have crit chance and crit damage. Same with gloves. Helm should have crit chance. You pants currently have int for some reason. Pants needs str, vit, all res and 2 sockets. Chest can easily be upgraded. Look for str, vit, all res and 3 sockets. Bracers aren't bad but could have %element damage instead of armor. Boots could be upgraded to ones with all res. Shoulders should have str, vit, all res and armor or %skill damage.
You aren't using hungering arrow, maybe consider re-rolling the hungering arrowing dmg to vit/all res on your pants and belt. You shoulders don't seem good at all.
There are a lot of items you can upgrade. You helm could be an Andariel's Visage with 20% holy dmg, 6 crit and 15% blessed shield damage. You bracers have extremely low stats and could have 20% holy dmg. You can get better rings and an SoJ with 20% holy dmg. You boots could be much better with str vit all res and 15% blessed shield dmg. Your weapons dmg can be higher. You cloves should have crit dmg over attack speed.
That being said, these aren't thingsyou can just get in a day, it will take a long time and some good luck to get perfect rolls and the exact items you need.
Storm crow is a wizard hat, it can be transmogrified to other wizard hats or regular helms. Regular helms can only be transmogrified to other regular helms.
Two of my friends just quit playing because I kept finding decent items, where as they found either nothing or useless plans. I found it really funny. Just now I gambled a http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/jekangbord that rolled fairly well, and then after clearing a rift I found http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/defender-of-westmarch with good stats, and rerolled 9% crit chance on my first try. I also found a bottomless potion of Kulle-aid. But yeah, RNG is RNG.
I farmed this on T6 for one hour today and timed each run. I was playing a crusader with as much movement speed skills as I could. Each run took about 1:10-1:30, and I was able to complete 44 runs. I managed to get 9 legendaries.
