I know I mostly lurk the forums, but I've been a part of these boards for a long time now. June 28th marks the 1 year anniversary since the announcement of Diablo III, and June 29th will be the 9 year anniversary of Diablo II.

While I know we all are hoping for some major content update to the D3 website (or maybe the 1.13 patch to drop in D2!) I know realistically those things are later in the summer as Blizzcon comes before us. But its been an entire year already! When I first heard the news that saturday morning, I watched the trailers over and over and over again... calling EVERYONE I knew to let them know. It was one of the most exhilarating days, especially since everyone was convinced the big news would be about WotLK at Blizzcon.

Back then, I remember estimates for releases being as early as this past March. I work at Best Buy, so I knew that wasn't happening, but just the thought of having to wait even that long then seemed unbearable.

Where were you when you heard the news? Think we'll see any major Diablo stuff tomorrow? Here's hopin!

I decided to take do a creative reimagining of scarcoke's Nomad class he posted. I think the idea is original for this contest while fitting very well into the lore of the games. I will post the work in progress as I did with the Binder, my first entry earlier in this thread.

Right now I only have the pencils scanned and I'm doing some tablet work to get the lines clean. Expect the updates over the next several days.

I finished my first piece to be submitted for this contest, The Binder, as I started as a post in this thread here, or if you only wish to see the completed concept here.

I may write out a skill tree or lore for the class if I have time... or make some doodles for another:P

Nah I probably just oversized them I'm one to do. I posted an updated pic with some of the colors laid out for the time being in my original post. I will post one last one of the completed work when its finished since the forums only allot 5 attachments per post and I would like to keep them all in the same one.

The Binder is going to be one of my entries for these contests. The idea is they bind their souls to demons, making them their thralls and enhancing their own latent magical powers differently for the type of demon bound.

Now I'm not a fancy Europe man but i believe thats in late march right? (just so happens to be 3 days before my birthday too!) thats roughly 230ish days, which is a hard wait but I'm patient, since i first ball parked this game as late 2010.

I agree with everyones prior posts... the game looks very far in development, especially since they've been working on it for so long. The fact that everything had English translations in the teasers was enough... remember the Starcraft 2 teaser?

Let the countdown begin.

I just reinstalled D2 after hearing the news of an upcoming patch (this is my... fifth or sixth time now? each time swearing it off until the third game is released) and lately I've been having this error:

file error d2music.mpq

It aborts the game back to my desktop and I must restart. The only other program I run concurrently with D2 is AIM, and even then I have sounds toggled off. Worse yet, theres been no distinguishing trigger for the error- it happens completely randomly like when baal laughs before listor comes out or when I click my stash.

Any advice? I haven't tried a reinstal yet although I hope it doesnt come to that, I do not run any maphacks or editors.

Hi there!

I am looking for a sound file of Cain saying "stay awhile and listen." The format doesn't matter, but I cannot seem to find one online and searching through the contents of my D2 disk is no help.

If anyone has such a file or knows how to grab it off the disk I would greatly appreciate it.
