I think they should keep the d2 way of doing thing. In that way the fastest player get alle the good loot. Always hated wow for beening "fair" with the rolls and stuff. Let the skill of the player determine how he rules the game.

Such an unfair advantage though. Just because you are an insanely quick clicker means you get all the loot and everyone else just wasted their time? This was a definite problem in D2 and I rarely got any loot because others were faster than me in most cases (being able to hold alt and click on loot super quick is not an indicator of skill), and in reality you can only hope to get one piece of loot while the others get snatched. There was no cases of people identifying the loot and then asking if others wanted from my experience either. It was kill boss - grab loot - bounce. That system sucked imo. I like how Blizz has it now. If anything it encourages people to share their findings and provide more chances for people to get loot.

posted a message on Will there be a separte pvp area
A separate area for PVP does not fit Diablo I don't think. Consent required duels is definitely a must. I know a lot of you hate that, but it's not exactly fun getting pwnt by some jerk off who gets off on killing everyone while you're actually trying to do something and then camp your body. It never bothered me that my time was being wasted, but it annoyed the shit out of me that people were somehow satisfied by the boredom of doing it. Watching paint dry is about as much fun as camping someone.

I wonder if Matt Uelman (spelling) will/is doing the/some music. I know he left Blizz, but I hope to god he makes a special appearance as the music composer. The demo music kinda sounds like his, but I suppose someone else could have just used his style to create that music.

    Tristram song ftw

A good example of us paying attention though was the concern and thread about corpses not sticking around long enough. I read that thread, brought it up, and some discussion was happening on it. Later our lead tech artist Julian was reading through the replies, and got some ideas of how we may want to keep corpses on screen a little longer. Now we're playing around with some changes that shouldn't have a huge performance hit, while still keeping the corpses on screen for variable amounts of time. Hopefully it works out.

Is he talking about diablofans.com forums or just forums in general? If diablofans then I made that thread, or one of them anyway if there is more than one.

I'm gonna pretend that I influenced them whether it be true or not, makes me feel cool.

I'd rather see the actual custscene that all of those scenes fall into.

Blizzard cutscenes are always awesome, at least the CGI done ones. The only ones I've seen that come close are the intros for Dawn of War and Dawn of War 2.

Other than that, I really want to see the SC2 intro now.

The original Dawn of War intro is so sick.

    "Incoming!"
And then the Dreadnaught comes and starts blasting the hell out of the hill.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UID6LEzvRRo

The one for DoWII is cool too.

    "I've come to destroy you"

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yu4ABhVd28U

    Goddamn Dreadnaughts are cool.

Okay so getting on topic, I thought the D3 trailer was pretty awesome. The best? Can't really say... maybe.

Can someone catch me up to speed. I'm not sure who Imperius is other than another Angel. Is there another thread pertaining to this character and his story?

Edit: Nevermind I found a thread.

I just been bored all together, actually with life in general.

Dude I hear that. I need to find some new hobbies. Too bad most cost enough $$ to make me not do anything. Gas prices hurt too. Fuck.

Seeing this thread inspired me to go and watch the video footage of the actual announcement at the ceremony. I had only watched the two videos stand alone before. I will admit my eyes did well up and a tear or two rolled down my face. Oh how I wish I could have been there.

You just cannot avoid rainbow because it is the light spectrum... unless entire game is black and white.

I have no interest in pursuing the rainbow discussion as its been done and done so I probably shouldn't even make this post, but I just can't resist stating my opinion. :)

The rainbow that you see during the gameplay video is being created by a waterfall. The exact moment you witness the rainbow it is raining and you see lightning flashes as well as hear thunder. That is not a realistic situation. People talk about how one can't deny rainbows because they are realistic and occur in nature. They don't occur when there is no light source as in sunshine. Sunshine is not very prevalent during a thunderstorm. That rainbow should not have been there.

In any case, this was an unnecessary post I know. So don't bother quoting it or responding, I just really had to satisfy my urge to say something on the matter.

There be my two cents, and I feel better.

Bah, i dont care... Blizz saw enaugh, i believe that theyll make some improvements on what people were 'whinig' about.
I think some things have to be changed too, but people just over-react. Its not horrible and the game will be fun either way...

Well put. If only everyone could see it that way these threads wouldn't keep popping up.

Yeah EA is kinda the anti-christ of the video game world. I'm not saying good games haven't been released by EA and/or its many affiliates, but their business practices and ethics suck. Buying out small studios and canning most of the people isn't cool, nor is forcing studios to release games when they are unfinished.

From Baal, got it. I definitely forgot about those things when you fight him.

I defend Tyrael's efforts in stopping Baal by reminding you that he was already fighting the Wanderer and advising Marius in some telepathic way. He was a little distracted if you ask me :).

Yes I know. Blizzard North has Diablo 1 and 2 credited to them.
