Well, guess everything didn't work as expected.....my monitor tells me that I'm not at optimum resolution when playing and basically makes it impossible to play as this just turns off my monitor. Anyways, in contact with Samsung, Blizz and ATI right now trying to figure out how to fix it.

posted a message on D2X: LOD questions
Pretty sure on all of this
    1) Yes
    2) Not sure
    3) Yes
    4) Yes as far as I know, honestly I don't know if anything is "useful" anymore due to hacks, dupes, etc

I would join Fallen Angels if you want to play with legit people; from my understanding though no one will really be playing much until the patch Fallen Angels - Divisions Beta - Diablo II

Simpsons, Family Guy, Lost, Destination Truth, Venture Brothers, Nip/Tuck (which I have to catch up on) I also used to watch Intervention and Obsessed on A&E. Thinking about starting Monster Quest next....

Played the demo a bit...honestly just feels like a unashamed Diablo ripoff. Even the music in the caves might as well have come direct from D2 (I realize that Matt did the score, but something new at least). I will have to try it a bit more I guess for a verdict, honestly the content just seems kind of "kiddie" to me. Well, my 2cents anyhow...and yes D3 might take some ideas from it, but there is no way in hell they have to even remotely fear any competition from this game.

posted a message on Act II Boss - What Will We Get?
I was just looking at my desktop rotation and it had the mistress of pain on there. Made me think of Astrogah (sp?) from the Sin War novel; hiding in the dark, using little spiders to kill victims...I think something like that would be cool for her. Maybe hiding in the shadows she can't be hit and becomes somewhat invisible (except for maybe eyes or something). I can see a room of skeletons, corpses, and spiderwebs everywhere as her lair. Anyways, just saw the art and thought of that.

Besides that, I hope they stick to their promise on making bosses more interesting to fight and beyond that it would be really awesome if they somehow changed as difficulty ramped up (for ex act 1 norm boss uses attacks a, b, c act 1 NM boss uses attacks d,e,f and so on...)

posted a message on Gamespot scared to play D3
That was a pretty funny video. I can attest to how addictive BL can be. I think it's funny that D3 is second in the list and it is not even close to release....awesome.

posted a message on Never played diablo 1
I played D2 first myself (outside of a D1 demo when I was a kid) and didn't play one until maybe a year ago. Well worth it in my opinion, hell picked up the CD off ebay for like 5 bucks or something they might even have it on Good Old Games. I'd say if you want to go for the full feel of the Diablo franchise do it.

posted a message on Unique Weapons in Diablo III
    Quote from "Don_guillotine" »
I remember reading that rares would be the best items, has this approach been changed?

The thing I hated about LoD the most was the way everything was standardized to the point of being lobotomized. Everyone wanted the same items for almost any class, like an enigma for an armor or archanid mesh for a belt for any caster.

This was mostly due to uniques having special stats that could not be found on rares. For a simple example +1 all (or any for the matter) skills on a ring, only two were the unique rings SoJ and BK.

Or another example, open wounds, deadly strike or crushing blow: only found in uniques, runewords and set items (and some crafted items for sake of accuracy). Not in any magical or rare item.

You make a really good point here, and i too hope that they will not have this problem in D3. I look at runes though and how they will be skill modifiers, which makes me think that is where a lot of our stats will be coming from for skills anyhow.

Yeah, was really happy when i read this twitter the other day. I'm glad that they are putting emphasis on uniques and making them their own models. I would also hope that this carries over to lesser items too, like rares, magical, etc to some degree. Maybe just like D2 with different colors or something.

It would be great if that were the case...I mean honestly we have had just about nil since Blizzcon. Maybe they are holding back so they can just blow the socks off of TL fans (which in my opinion is just a blatant cartoony rip-off of D3...I still might check it out though). Either way, we are in a dire need of some friggin news here..hell even nothing on patch 1.13 for almost a month now.

posted a message on Borderlands Review
Been playing this since the PC release, have a level 30 Siren right now. SF Jake you are right; there have been other RPS games before this (Deus Ex like you said is a great example which btw they are working on the third installment).

On the other hand I feel that the way Borderlands presents this world to us is unique and unlike other games. By that I mean the art style; even the taunts and voice acting by the enemies and characters. It is just a visually beautiful game and there is an insane amount of loot (an example, I can count on one hand the amount of duplicate guns I have found and most of those are quest drops anyways) Yes the idea of a post-apocalyptic alien world isn't exactly the freshest idea; but this game is fun as hell whether you are playing by yourself or with friends. Plus, i felt, something to tide me over on the road to D3.

To Robiwan, good review. Yes you can delete the intro movies...if you need those ports (or anyone needs them) just send me a PM and I'll give them to you. There are a bunch and I didn't get my multi-player hosting abilities until I opened all of the ports which most are not even listed on the BL forums.

posted a message on BlizzCast 11 -- BlizzCon roundup
I'm not one to complain much when it comes to Blizz, but honestly this Blizzcast was lame...all it basically was was a recap of Blizzcon. I mean aren't most of the people who follow Blizz keeping up with things like their own gaming convention...I would have been happier if they just waited longer and brought out something with new info in it.
