    Wastelands, tropics, plains, etc.

There are quite a lot actually.

Ok, well, I could see wastelands (would be awesome Dreadlands maybe?) and plains...I honestly think saying jungle and tropics are different is splitting hairs. I get your point though; I was thinking more along the lines of atmosphere and weather I guess. Yes, Asian would be awesome too; like crazy undead samuria or something would be really cool I think.

Well, I can see your point, but as mentioned we don't know what order the acts will be in...there are also obviously areas we haven't seen yet too. Maybe for the time they are just letting us know of areas that are somewhat familiar and keeping the remainders for release or as later announcements.

Honestly, I'm happy so far with what we've seen; yeah it's a bit familiar, but hey how many different environments can you come up with anyhow? I mean you look at D2 there was forest, desert, jungle, hell and snowy mountain....that covers almost every environment possible on the planet (unless you want some underwater Diablo action).

Just because Jay says that those features will be introduced into Diablo 3 doesn't mean that Diablo 3 will be the first game to implement them. Now if he said that these features will be seen first in Diablo 3...different story.

Very good read, thanks for that mockery. Glad to see they will be keeping in stuff as crazy as knocking a skeleton out of someone....but also good that they are wise enough to know that it can get old when over done. Also, that's awesome that he involves his family...good stuff

Wow, didn't even watch the concert, but geez I thought everyone knew at least one ozzy song. I don't get it; all the nerds going up for q and a like all had long hair...what's up with that?!? How can you have long hair and not know metal or ozzy? Probably spend too much time in their parents basement playing D2 or something.

I that the next class could possibly hail from the Tristram region as maybe a plainswalker who would wield a bow and possibly a polearm (its not meant to be a pally or anything close... just a hunting nomad basically). Possibly pets? or maybe that's too obvious... who knows.

Actually, I like your idea better than my idea. I think a "nomad" type character would be pretty cool; someone who just travels around from town to town and doesn't really have a homeland. Would maybe make for an interesting background story. On the flip side though, could also make it difficult if there is no trace back to a culture.

Still stickin with the Wizard as my first class....then I guess I'd go barb, WD, monk...of course will probably change with new class. I love the magic user classes though, always have...melee/ranged come a close second.

You should make this a poll, would be fun to see what the whole community thinks.

I'm thinking ranged too..but maybe something darker. You know something that uses dark, demonic arts; like summon demons of some type. Also using more stealth and shadow; being able to turn invisible or something. Would be nice to see throwing skills too like some said; maybe the class could throw a ton of daggers at once or something. I always felt Necro was their dark, mysterious character and they have yet to fill that archetype.

I think that would be awesome; barb walks in and just rips dudes arm off...hahahah. Doubt something like that would be implemented though; who knows...i know they said they want NPCs more dynamic.

posted a message on Lack of info at blizzcon?
I got the feeling too that there was not as much info. Then I stepped back and thought, well maybe there just wasn't as much content. I mean you kind of have to think when D3 first announced, they had lots of "stuff" to show us. Now that we have gotten past that, it's more details I guess than actual "eye candy" if you will.

Everyone is right; they did cover a lot of questions that we have been asking for quite a while. Also, we are still not that far into the production; the game is at least a year or easily more away. Look at just little changes since last time; graphics for one (darker, more fleshed out, detailed), I read too that some skills were even completely removed while others were changed, tetris inventory is back. So, it's a work in progress, besides they don't want to give it all away and I'm sure there are lots of aspects in production right now (crafting, mercs, talisman etc).

Also, as mentioned in the panel last night, the wizard is most likely to get a revamp (possibly even a name change), to be more like a freaking lightshow as their initial goal with her was :D

I think I should clarify this; the wizard is NOT getting a revamp and is NOT getting a name change. They did change her skill stone armor to look more like a light show. Instead of looking like rocks it now looks like shinning crystals. Therefore they said they might change the name of the skill now.

Red Rocks posted the panels, or you could probably find them on youtube by now, if you watch them they say in the panel. I have the live feed and I did look at our live chat and it was mistakenly put down that the Wizard will get a revamp and name change. This is not the case though.
