Idk, I've sunk about 7k into boots and no lut socks yet ( yes I was on a barb wasting shards) but I managed to find 2 mara pieces on my DH within a matter of 5 minutes. I seem to have it easier with drops than with kadala.
I have a friend who's a fairly geared WD.... actually pretty well geared and he absolutely trashes everything and with the itemization WD is def a fun class to look it, i say go for it if you already have your eyes on it.

Chest: Cindercoat - Definitely a BiS for fire DHs atm. Best to gamble on a monk for this chest to lower the chest pool.
1-Handed Xbow: Calamity - Marks all enemies with Mark of Death... so.... yea free 20% dmg.
And I would assume there's other awesome things but those are the main two that pop out for DHs imo. She has some nice quivers too.
