WoW def made Warcraft more familiar. It does have more unique characters but it also has more games then SC and Diablo combined. They can easily make lore for SC and Diablo and give them as many unique characters, they just choose not to...maybe it's cause they don't need 10000 new characters to be the best? Their same old 100 or so are so good that they can keep your attention. If you are an advent Blizzard fan you should be no stranger to haveing Blizzard Shit on Diablo or it's fans. Like I have said before, Diablo be the bastard child of Blizzard Entertainment, probably cause they didn't actually come up with Diablo and just took over the company that did. The facts are there in history, Diablo always lands last in the race. Only reason there is somewhat of a challenge on Classic is cause when they up'd the monsters for .10 they up'd classic as well but didn't buff Classic with items. IM does do nothing for casters which is why chaos sanc should have the mana drain skill as well so it can be feared. IM and mana drain shouldn't be casted every 2 seconds but it should be something to watch out for.You didn't even read my post? What does iron maiden do to casters that are majority in this game.. nothing. And yes I have only 600-700 hp on my sorc in Classic. I know it is easy in LoD with all the uber items you get there.. the game is a joke in LoD, in classic thers still some challenges every now and then.
Because the Chaos sanc is still a huge part of the game and one I don't want to see pussified. Just cause I am not running the content 10000000000000x doesn't mean I don't go there every now and then for shits and giggles. This will make it alot easier to go PK chaos games with a barb tho, so thanks Blizzard! Nothing to fear for Barb PK's now.Why would you even care about iron maiden if u get rushed to 90 lvl in 2 hours? You don't play the content, other people do it for you. -

Duping has been apart of Diablo's life since Diablo 1 day 1. It will always be an issue. Fixing 1 dupe bug now instead of working on actual hacks is a waste of man power and will not help the economy at all. Duping is by far second class to hacks buddy. Runes will be cheaper cause now you don't have to buy them off people and you can find them yourself so thus there will be an even greater abundance of them. Thus cheaper...supply and demand.Lol first you say that dupe wasn't a big problem and that dupe fix doesn't do much good to the game. Then you say that there is a huge abundance in runes, you didn't figure why was it so? Maybe cause of duping? Oh yea!
Raising rune drop rate doesn't make the worth less because if they fixed duping they will be many times more rare than now. Duping makes runes worth less not increasing drop rates by 3x. As someone said "In 1.13 finding zod will only take you 200 years instead of 800", in 1.12 you can get zod quite easy sinsce they are duped so much.
How about you do that exact method for oh...I don't know 13 years total? Let me know how fun it is to rerun a very boring PvM game since it's so easy multiple times buddy. They didn't fix anything yet again waste of man power. Now instead of instant level 90's we have level 90's in a few days...congrats Blizzard you wasted yet again more man power on something that wasn't breaking the game nearly as bad as multiple other shit.Howabout playing the game like it should be.. no rush, no leech instead of whining about blizzard removing a huge exploit in the game?
Chaos is a joke without IM. What's there to fear? Amp damage? How much life you got...1000? Oh no that lower res inferno those lords do on you are deadly! Chaos is a joke and can easily be run by any class, even melee could do it before if they were smart. They should of just modified the % of damage instead of removing it totally cause now Chaos is just as I said a joke. There is no threat unless you are bad and get taken out in PvM in a game where they essentially build your character up as a god.Eh? No threat. This doesn't make CS any easier for non melee. There are a lot of stuff in CS that can kill anyone (conv infector etc at least in classic). Iron Maiden was only pain in the ass for melee characters. And made it really hard for melee classes to compete in high levels because they couldn't really clear the place at all, or many times slower than casters.
Iron maiden was still ok pre-LOD and pre 1.10, I don't understand why they changed the reflection amount. After 1.10 1 hit can kill you which isn't really fun if your character is built to only hit with normal melee damage. Back pre 1.09 you could do whirls in CS when you were a bit careful and didn't go all out on big crowds. Short whirls and leap attack mages first was fun and exciting. Even if you got IM you probably lost about ? hp which was fine. Now you die pretty much instantly. -

I had a charger with that setup and you go against anyone with block chance and it's rough seas. Also add in Charge lock which is just death in Duels. What about barbs? You don't see speeder Lance barbs anymore cause they are outdated. It's almost impossible to survive with a 2 hander barb out there in duels now cause everyone caters to the Zerker and a have a shield with some insane defense so the 2 hander barb ends up obsolete. Grief is better suited to PvP then a BOTD pole arm ever will be so why would someone choose a weaker 2 handed weapon and lose a shield? -

1) Making resistance of players effect magic damages output (hammers,bone skills) like it used to pre .10. Lower resistance was a universally useful skill back then aswell. Plus guess what no 1-2 hit killing crappadins running around spamming hammers and praying to hit something either invisibly or just sitting there spamming around themselves. Uh and why doesn't slow missle effect hammers anymore?????????????????? Hammerdins are a joke make hammers not go invisible outside if nothing else so you can evade a 10-15k dmg hammer outside while youre wrecking other kids and ignoring the moron charging around looking stupid.
2) Uh...hacks wtf address them
3) Monsters and all pvm ingeneral in Diablo2 is a JOKE!! You dont need to make stuff weaker,nerfing curses etc.. You need to do what previous designers did in .08 by making the monsters insanely hard vs their previous state in preperation for the expansion. Pvm blows learn those words and do something about it make this game a challenge?????????!!!!!
4) Nerfing lightning? Wowowowowow if you want to work around cookie cutter builds etc..etc.. like you've been preaching why would you nerf lightning. How about doing a little something about fire,cold I dunno just a thought since theres 100 : 1 fire/cold sorc all using the same crap to the 1 light sorceress be it nova or lightning. Hydra is....blah its still fire based who gives a damn really and whirlwind boosts .....can you please hold my hand and help me make a cookie cutter again please????? Synergies were a connect the dots cookie cutter bs mistake and now you're just some what adding insult to injury. Its bad enough the crappiest kid on the game can now do damage to you because he pumped a synergy or two.
5) How about making polearms/spears worth a damn eh? Their useless player wise unless you're making a joke character looking to suck all the way to lvl 99. Runewords heavily favor axes, 2 handed weapons are disgustingly underpowered even a 50% increase to their base dmg would only level the field pvp wise between a single or dual wielding axe/sword barbarian. How about upping the base ias of a berserker axe by 5 speed to reduce how many runewords reach max ww ias bp even, that may or may not reduce how many cookie cutter bvc characters you see all day. Oh and I love how a tiny ass axe has the same range as a sword/other weapons as big as my character...real smooth.
6) No one gives a crap about respec of skills or stats, it should cost you experience or levels anyhow. I mean after all it was due to inexperience or all out suckage that you messed up that way in the first place. But oooooh no its ok we're here lil guy lets help you out no penalties just throw this skill here and this stat here...we've already givin you a tree that says x skill empowers x skill so there you go get JUST those. We wouldnt want you to actually feel obligated to learn something.
7) How about charges on enigma? Or adding a slight cast delay to teleport? I don't know but some people may actually want to make a speeder barbarian or r/wing melee character/mage again. The r/w boost on the armor is perfect so are all the other mods but all its there for is the teleport/str bonus to 99% of the players. Want to talk cookie cutter again???? Teleporting, base stated,crap flying around the game all day long. Yea thats me too I'll admit it, but id much rather see all the potentially effective builds that cant even be concidered at the moment because everyone can teleport. Delay it or charge it, end of story. Make it something you have to think about doing to escape or be smart about using. Not just another skill to spam.
You know what, disregard all the intelligent things Ive pointed out, thats only some of whats wrong with this game in the first place. Re roll this game back to .09 or even further back then that and quit messing with it. This patch blows, nothing has been addressed. This game started out rather balanced with a few skills being on the weaker side when it was first released...a few changes back then could of been the end all of bs patchs such as this one but no. -

Any other company would have stopped patching and balancing 3-5 years ago. Most companies do not put legacy teams on games that are 10 years old. Not only that but Blizzard has a sequel in the works and they are still improving D2.
Plus being disappointed about a patch that is still in public testing is lame. Its not even final yet.
Blizzard makes no money (maybe from that ad banner) from battle.net play and a new patch isn't attracting a whole lot of people to purchase the game. And those who do are only paying $20.
I guess what I'm saying is, if you want more content, wait for D3.
How many companies have games that are standing after 10 years and still have a very large fan base? Letting the game rot would be a horrible business move, especially when it still in the run for it's genre.
Of course there is a sequel in the makes, and what about people that don't know about Diablo? They are probably gonna get Diablo 1 and 2 and find out about it, so let's not patch the game and leave it broken so it hurts Diablo 3 sales...great idea.
It's public testing the changes they made, they never said they were gonna add anything else. They are testing these changes to make sure they are good then that is it. This is the patch. Just checking to see if it all works. I doubt they will make any major changes to what is already done. -

I loved the loot option of softcore Diablo 2 Vanilla but yet that got removed.
I know many many people who love dupes but that got halted. (Don't worry tho they won't ever stop duping)
I know many many people that loved Marrow glitch on necro but that was removed
I know many many people who loved occulus rings and other bogus hacked items but they were removed.
Just revert the game back to 1.01 before Blizzard started breaking the game and we would be fine. -

How are people not stoked about this patch?
They have cleared up almost every gripe I had with the game.
They introduced respec to see how it works in d2 so that they can better implement it in d3. I had an inkling that they were going to do this with some aspect of d3.
Sure, there is no new lore content and that is a let down, but something tells me we wont have to wait too much longer for our lore fix.
Because this is why:
1.)Fixed an item dupe bug.
- Fixed an item dupe bug rather then work on hacks. Tried to fix an economy that was already trashed and this will play very little part in fixing it, otherwise this is wasted man power.
2.)Increased the drop rate of high runes.
Increased drop rate which is good, but there is already a huge abundance of them out there this just makes them worth less.
3.)Nightmare/Hell WilloWisps champions/uniques have had their damage greatly reduced.
These were never an issue if you actually had some resistance on your character and knew how to play your character.
4.)Uber Mephisto and Uber Baal's summoned minions no longer give experience.
So now instead of doing Ubers to make my guy level 90 in an hour I have to waste days following Baal runs...yippee! I played Diablo since it came out and have leveled strictly on actually killing monsters for far to long, with the exp they offer at Baal runs you would have to be either extremely bored not to do them or just dumb. Same goes for Ubers with the experience offered why not do it? I am not sitting there for days to level up just to deal with the same hacks and BS I did before.
5.)Removed Oblivion Knight's Iron Maiden curse.
So now chaos sanc has absolutely no threat in it...again yippee! Now any newb can go in there unscathed and kill Diablo.
6.)Blessed Hammer - No longer ignores resistances of undead and demons.
This is probably only good thing they did, except you know hammers are still retardly overpowered and should be nerfed.
Something they should of fixed on paladins in Charge lock, and desynch. Remove desynch and you can keep the way to high damage of hammers, cause everyone knows hammerdins blow chunks if they can't spray and pray. -

Pretty much fixed them being so rare. They propably still are rare but you can actually get one someday. What goes for FG in d2jsp, most players don't use it, it is really only top end players that use it. Most players use normal create game and trade for stuff. Hacks are a problem of course but I have seen dupes to be the biggest failure on blizzard side in the last 10 years of Diablo 2.
Dupes are an issue and always have been, but they are by no means greater then Hacks.
Classic ladder had barely any dupes and they economy runs off of Rares and Sojs which is how it should be. Without dupes they would be running off of....rares and.....sojs. On Expac economy is runes....sojs....without dupes economy would be....runes....sojs. Removing dupes ends in the same thing as keeping them, it just means you are trading a lower amount of rune for an items now instead of 3 runes you now only trade 1...hope those few clicks save you more grief then a TPPK or a G Mod user causes you.
Well considering about ALL of HC uses FG, and almost ALL of ladder uses FG, I haven't been on Softcore east in awhile but that was pretty much converting to FG a year or so ago, I am pretty sure alot more then just a few use FG. Also with dupes and you know items being sooooo easy to get, what's their excuse for not being "elite"?
So you want a select few to have overpowered weapons but not everyone.
PS: Runes are overpowered, that's why they are meant to be so rare. -

Yes there are people that enjoy killing monsters, they enjoy grinding levels and gear. I have met quite a few on my many years of Diablo. However at least on US East, I found MANY MANY MANY MANY more who grinded gear and levels so they can trade so they can make PvP characters. It is basic gaming formula 101 here, when the content is so played out people find alternate ways to play. PvP is and always has been and always will be a huge part of the Diablo series whether Jay or you PvM heroes wanna accept it or not. I am also not dumb enough to try and say that PvP is end all be all way to play Diablo like most of you PvM heroes who seem threatened by PvP'ers.

Anyway, they believe their in house team is the greatest and they don't need us for bugs and only for stressing the server. So in their mind the beta is a success, and there def will not be any nonsense like PvP brought into Jay Wilsons house dammit!

I am not saying hostile should be in every game so all you PvM warriors can calm down. Atleast let us that enjoy the classic feel of Diablo where player interaction is huge get the experience we want too. If you are so greedy and butt hurt cause someone came into your game and wrecked you that you want the game only about you, well you are gonna get grieved one way or another regardless of hostile, now you are just taking your options of fighting back away.

On a side note, I am glad someone posted Europvp dueling video so I can get a look at them since I have been told they were better then east, lets just say I am not impressed.

So this is just for beta right? The clearing of WP and checkpoints? Does your character level also revert to 1 every new game or what?

As you could see in the beta screen shots and the leaked screenshots you select which quest to work on, I am guessing this is for matchmaking purposes. How much restriction are they gonna be putting in the game as far as public games go? If I join a game that is working on den of evil and I really don't care to do den and want to work on Act 2 can I? How is co-op games going to work? Especially with this select quest thing.
