posted a message on Angry rant.
While a rant is a rant I understand your frustration.

Everyone pushing the limits on their GR capabilities is fishing for zombie rifts, <insert other things that make rifts easy here> and sometimes part of getting to that next GR level is literally just having enough play time to give you enough chances to find that rift...

It is a bit silly at times the massive difference there can be in difficulty between two GRs of the exact same level. Not saying they should all be zombie rift easy, or the opposite end of the spectrum, but feels like the spectrum should be smaller. Like there should be a couple classes of monster, easy = {golgor, zombie, slow moving melee mobs } med = { archers, quillbeasts, other ranged type mobs } hard = { winged assassins, anarchs, fast/jumpy type mobs } and the rift should always be composed of some equal % of all 3 categories. And the categories could change slightly for melee/ranged classes and be a composite in groups. Never just 100% easy or 100% hard. Doesn't seem like that happens right now.

I agree with most of the rest of what you said, but they are all pretty common community complaints. Don't agree with being able to reroll every affix on an item - that means you just need to find one of any particular item and then basically you just reroll it perfect and you can never find a better one. Kind of goes against what the game is about. Enchantress just serves to slightly improve every item you find, not instantly make it perfect.

posted a message on A real attempt at addressing the stash space dilemma
Yeah I don't think the "saving the soul" idea would help anything, as Twoflower said.

The only piece of data you might save is the position in the stash that the item is located. But presumably in whatever new UI is displaying the item "souls", it would have a "position" in that as well, so that would even out anyway. But otherwise you're still storing all the other information about the item, so I don't believe there is a difference.

That is all assuming that the reasoning behind not giving more stash space is minimizing database storage, which I think is a reasonable assumption. I'm not sure what else the reason would be.

I mostly agree with the Grift keys idea, but they are a much smaller inventory space concern. They need to be revamped because doing trials over and over to determine that you are eligible for the same grift level over and over is really time consuming and not enjoyable at all. When you reach a certain trial rift wave you should be able to just choose how many trial keys you want converted to that grift level. Your solution would effectively mean you'd never have to do a regular nephalem rift again, which I'm not sure is something they want, but honestly your solution works too. There have been so many proposed solutions that would work, and it really annoys me that they did nothing to address it in the recent patch. If that alone was fixed I'd be much more excited to play S2.

You don't need to know any language to see the SPAM,just see the mail sender "j5411962003@gmail.com" ,that's fake & gay.

I'm wondering of that on the blizzard's mails "©2015 Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. All rights reserved." There's no blizzard enterntainment anymore,it's Activision-Blizzard ,see the info - http://www.activisionblizzard.com/about-us
    Strange paradox..
Fake and gay? The fuck? Even the immature slang use of the word doesn't make any sense here.

Considering you can still find the description "Blizzard Entertainment" all over the place, including on their own website (like the logo on the front page that says "BLIZZARD ENTERTAINMENT", I'm pretty sure that's still a name they go by. In fact, I have a number of legitimate emails from them in my inbox right now that are signed " - Blizzard Entertainment." Newsletters and shit.

But yeah, the broken english should have tipped anyone off to this one pretty quick. Professional companies, especially Blizzard, don't send things out with blatant and numerous spelling/grammar/structure errors. I never understood why these people don't hire an english speaking person for like, $100, to proofread some email templates for them and make corrections. They could probably scam like several % more people successfully and easily make back whatever they pay this one, single person. Not that I want them to be more successful, but it seems like, common sense...

posted a message on The resurrect timer is horrible
Yes, you should just pay the time, added on to your GR time. Forcing you to sit and wait is pointless and frustrating. They could slap on a cooldown reduction of the same magnitude if they wanted to keep it like it is now (or not and just consider that a side effect/additional punishment of death), where you regain CDs as you sit and stare at the timer, but it's not an enjoyable gameplay experience. Especially when you are already frustrated from frequent deaths when you are trying to do well pushing a higher GR (everyone has been there). Then you get a timer and you want to alt tab and it just kills the continuity.

Also, the fact that "Revive at Last Checkpoint" is also unusable until the "Revive at Corpse" button is available is really stupid. If that's going to be the functionality, it might as well have been removed.

The Last Checkpoint button should top out at 5 seconds wait/payment. That way it reduces the punishment of being fucked by 4 elite packs right at the entrance to a rift level with no room to breathe (Looking at you Hell Rift GRs), but doesn't help you at all when you are deeper into a rift (as the run back serves the purpose of the timer).

But it seems like some stats are harder to roll than others?
It's like if you have 8 possible stats to get on your reroll. Some of them will show up again and again. While others never turn up.
It does not seem like there is an equal chance to roll all stats.
That's because there isn't an equal chance.

well at least they have their priorities straight. rampant botting and exploits, no worries. using punctuation that might resemble human anatomy, immediate attention!
While I understand what you're saying, these aren't even remotely similar. A text filter is a set and forget, automated kind of thing. The mechanics of which are probably shared in pretty much all Blizzard games, so development time for that particular "feature" was probably near 0. Finding bots/exploiters is far from that. Bots and exploiters are an ever evolving, changing, dynamic thing. Not that I'm excusing their poor efforts towards fighting those things, but it isn't because they had to filter some profanity.

Doubt there's a definitive list anywhere, at least not one that's publicly visible. I would guess they pull from some list of copyrighted names, profanity words, slurs, etc. and check against it. Though admittedly seems a bit silly to restrict a clan MOTD, since it isn't really publicly visible as things like character / clan names are...

posted a message on Vault vs SS What do you prefer?
I usually go with vault for T6 / lower grifts, and SS for higher ones. I could see people going vault all the time though.

Pretty sure the whole "kiting back to sentries" thing everyone always says is a massive waste of time/impossible unless you get super high density rifts. Most rifts, in my experience, there is far too much space in between enemies to actually gain time in doing it. In addition, a number of enemy types are not cooperative at all in following you. It only works if every pack (white or elite) you kill literally has one right behind it, so you just slowly inch your sentry pack forwards while also running a little bit forward to coax enemies into them. But again if there's just too much space, then you're running all the way up to grab mobs, then all the way back, then all the way back up once they die again... it just isn't practical, in like, 90% of rifts in my experience.

When your sentries don't fire then you are either too far from the mob or the sentry is too far from the mob.
I've been standing right next to a sentry that is right next to a mob, no more than 10 yards each distance, and the sentry is not firing. On multiple occasions. Tends to happen a lot with the Terror Demon rift guardian. While he is visible. There's definitely a bug - I don't know that I'd call it critical, as it happens infrequently enough as to not be ridiculous. But it happens.

I've noticed the not firing part, for sure. Tends to happen with enemies that sort of phase in/out, when they phase back in the sentries don't seem to realize it. Only sometimes, though.

As far as shooting lower-priority targets, I don't know. I didn't really start up a DH again til seasons started up so if it worked differently before then I wouldn't know. I've just become used to how they work now and know what to expect.

Just a tad unrelated to the thread... but... they've never mentioned that anything affects the chance to find a vault portal. So, not likely.

Yes, any cc effect makes it work for you. This is why a lot of demon hunters switch to a full fire build in groups, because someone else is providing the slow instead of the frost arrow.

Ya.. I got a new 20% AS Quiver last night (still not Rucksack...) and I used Paragon to sit myself at 1.76 ... just in case.

Another question... how does +Ele Arrow, MS, CA work vs just having +sentry dmg? I assume that those specific abilities coming off the Sentry are amplified, but if you have +Sentry dmg, all abilities are amplified?
Yep exactly right. You'd obviously want sentry damage on everything if it were possible, but it's not as certain slots can only have the individual hatred spender skills. So, next best thing.

Thanks for the explanation.. I'll have to look at my char sheet when I get a chance and mess around with Paragon Points to see where I can get it at.
Also keep in mind that the character sheet may have some rounding error - I don't know exactly how it rounds, but for example if you were to get 1.46 APS on the sheet, perhaps it is actually 1.458 and is rounding up for display. Which would make it appear that you are over the BP, when you are not.

Unless you want to actually calculate it out yourself (I'm too lazy to do this personally, though it is not complex), I would suggest going an extra point over to ensure you are hitting it. So for this example, 1.47. Which would ensure that, assuming they do normal rounding, you are at minimum 1.46500 APS. There will be some loss in (most likely) paragon points in doing this, but not much.
