Yeah, more or less. Though as i said, there are someitems that don't care about PC, and so on. Everything needs to be tested and we can get only estimated guesses.

posted a message on Set Dungeons difficulty?

    Pure speculation here.

Set dungeons need to be competed in 5 minutes or you get kicked out - given this they're either really small and with few mobs or mobs are really squishy compared to high GR. Very likely we're talking about t8-t9 difficulty.

Actual difficulty comes from the secondary objectives: stuff like "don't get hit in melee" or "don't spend any mana" or "don't get any damage" is what will make them challenging. Doesn't matter how much you can faceroll stuff, but if you are crippled in ability choices or need to avoid stuff, it doesn't matter anymore if they hit for 1 hp or oneshot you.

I wonder if we will see a Frostburn/Rimeheart combo at some point...

Nope until they fix both proc chance and damage of Rimeheart. It's ridiculously low atm.

posted a message on Against endless Paragon Level.

Well, endless paragon is not much an issue by itself - the core problem is/was the fact you could run a very efficient group while bringing opn the table huge XP bonus amounts.

This summed to GR xp scaling (which obviously favors party due to higher levels easier to complete/farm) made group xp grinding much more efficient.

They don't need to cap paragons - they need to make them a lot slower.

2.4 changes help a lot: someone already mentioned the cube recipe which nets a much faster increase in stats reducing the difference given by paragons; plus the XP bonuses will scale down to 1/10 power at 70 meaning no more 400b/hour runs.

Bots will always have the advantage, aswell parties. But the difference now should be smaller as solo/standard players will have an easier time while party XP gains will be reduced a lot (given the same amount of playtime). Maybe still not balanced, but on a much better ground.

posted a message on BlizzCon 2015 - Diablo is dead

Do i have to be honest? So many delusional people here. If you don't like the game anymore, stop playing it.

If you play a game based on the amount of other people playing, the issue is on you and not on the game.

Yes, this year's Blizzcon has been a letdown, since it's clear that the game is still thriving and needs more space, aswell the dev team is super dedicated on it. Hell, they've taken the adventure mode/rift system from d3 and put it into WoW to save the game. If the game sucked bad, i don't think they would have done a move of this kind.

However, the more i think about it, the more i think it's been good like this.

This year/next year Blizzard releases WoW new xpack, Overwatch, LotV and Heartstone new adventure is next week. Putting out also D3 new xpack would have just a bloating effect where everything is on the same plate and you take just a little of everything and not enjoying the various things.

I'm kinda happy D3 had so small space this year - IF this is for a lot more space next year. With everything already started, only king of the Blizzcon will be D3.

    Stay a while and listen.

Another really good concept. I like the theme a lot and the way you managed to deal with everything.

I especially appreciated the focus on channeled spells: they are atm a very non-effective way of playing due to their stationary nature and basically being very resource hungry. A proper class based on channels and supportuing this playstyle is a very nice twist.

posted a message on Completed Season 4 Journey Thoughts (Video)

It's amusing how everyone tends to bring their experience on the table and showing it as the " correct one", as in all the "it's too easy" or "it's too hard"

    comments.

TL;DR: just my 2 cents. Imho journey has to do less with player power (gems/paragon/GR) and more with doing stuff in game you normally won't do.

Season journey is something every player experiences differently for many reasons, from the class they play to the time they can put into the game. So until everyone plays the game the same exact way, we cannot say what's what in an objective way.

My experience: can play very little time, with a total of like 10-12 hours/week more or less. Rolled a monk because i started late due to changing home, and i wanted the "op" class to play more efficiently. Mostly ran solo with the occasional public GR runs as xp/support for faster paragon grinding.

Ended the journey a couple of days ago at 600-ish paragon (now i'm 611).

My opinion is that it has been very spot-on and i had the right chances to complete it comfortably with a decent challenge (nothing was really hard, but you need to commit at least some time to get everything done). But as you can see, my pov is very biased by all the conditions i played the game.

If i have to take it from an external point of view, i agree it wasn't difficult. Still, what's the goal of it? The cosemtic rewards are something everyone wants and nto only the elite players - though i think that the journey has been tailored this was so literally everyone could have a legit shot at it.

I mean, crusaders reaching 60 solo are basically near the endgame due to balancing issues. it wouldn't be right for an achievement to be "clear 80 solo" because everyone wanting to play a crusader would have been automatically left out.

The rewards are cosmetic only, so no player power issues with them - so everyone can have them or not and nothing would change. For the competition, ladders exist so why journey should be competitive? Id would overlapping and redundant design.

Specifically about the achievement/steps: as others said, some of them are basic checkpoints, others are just time-consuming. The 70HC one isn't hard at all, and it just requires some time to put in game, and i sincerely have no issues with it. I have more issues with "bring 3 gems to 60" or "do other boring farming stuff", which i'm going to do anyway.

Journey achievements should be things like "complete the entire campaign mode" or "do X thing in Y way". I really enjoyed the 40GR with no sets challenge, that required some thought and strategy about using a different build.

Journey should be around doing a variety of different activities, not about farming more GR because we're already doing that.
