Steady aim is a crap of a passive - all it takes is a single mob that jumps at you and its bonus is gone. It need to be simply "you do X more damage to enemies over Y yards" like any other passive that works the same (wizards). Cull the weak is better if you use Entangling Arrow.

Awareness change is good, but still we're forced to take other better passives before (be then whatever one decides to get).

Reaper's wraps are good, but if you tackle higher difficulties Aughild is nearly mandatory - goodbye bracers slot (apart the toughness boost, 15% damage to elite is awesome).

For the rest, we have quite some option on the gear/builds, but i find a more streamlined resourece generation and never dying is FOR ME the best way to farm. Numbers-wise, DH have the CA builds, end of story - they're good and even if they are nearly the only option, we can get the job done.

Builds/passives revolve a lot on what a player finds better for his playstyle.

Well my cloak finally pay off with 3 sockets and also get magefist for my cluster, wondering what else for me to upgrade

    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/deathweaver-1939/hero/1620844
Imho, first choose whay path to follow - physical damage (Garwulf) or fire (magefist). This because if you decide to go for fire, the Garwulf needs to be replaced with a Cindercloth.

First step is to get a Ring of Royal Grandeur; it's a mandatory piece for any character.

Second step, aim for set items. Aughild's bonuses are pretty good especially if you plan to go up Torment. Maruder 4 pieces is awesome - with 2.0.5 6 pieces has been buffed (they say turrets shoot double the skills) but still it's something i wouldn't strive for, and it's difficult to get anyway). There's also natalya, if you manage to get 2 pieces they give a pretty nice bonus (and it's kinda "easy" to insert them in your gear because Nat's weapon is one of the best in game).

Last but not least, Stone of Jordan. Huuuuuge ring.

With the recent changes in 2.0.5, we can structure a better Cold damage build with some additional synergies

    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/demon-hunter#aRdXSO!becf!YZbbcY

This build basically makes full use of Cold damage skills and the ideal gearing is a 2h xbow+ quiverto maximize DA damage aswell having a sustained aoe with EA. I doubt it can be competitive with standard CA builds, but the damage from buriza + DA is quite high.

Pride's Fall bonus is imho too much RNG for my taste. there are a lot of unavoidable AoEs which can screw that; 5 seconds may look a short time but in fact they are not that short. Also many times is worth to take that additional hit to avoid worse things or kill that nasty elite.

You can make use of the helm for sure; anyway in a scenario of BiS items, you don't get the slot free for the helm (you go either Aughild/Marauder/Natalya/Andariel depending on your drops and needs).

I won't say mandatory, but it competes with Perfectionist.

Anyway, i'd still keep perfectionist. Yes, we have trouble in getting our armor rating high, but the reduced Disciplin costs is way too good to pass over; especially for builds that use a lot Cloak, or even the mroe diffuse Preaparation/Punishment combo.

DEX on armor is really good, but the added advantages of perfectionist are still better imho.

Probably, when you have the 4Mara active, you can get Nightstalker and make use of Awareness because of the Boar that already boosts resistances; but this is all about a defensive setup, many DH just ingore these abilities and just go for a full offensive setup. Probably also a 3Natalya would be of help, but we're talking about pretty decked characters.

Well, if i manage to get everything i need i will surely try it - the DEX to armor thing covers a hole in our class.

EDIT: i'm more concerned by the fact that the only element change we get is Devouring Arrow rune changed to cold damage. More support for cold builds is nice, but their effectiveness/efficiecy is still way under the standard CA builds.

We need more elemntal variety on generators, but we also need streamlined hatred generation (no one will ever use anything that doesn't give 6 hatred) and better/buffed spenders because atm the efficency of CA has no competitor.

There are other builds around, but still their efficiency is way too low.

Usually quiver setup favors the use of a bow/xbow - a single 1h xbow ideally does the same total damage of other weapons (more small attacks compared to less bigger ones), but in the end it has also faster hatred consumption and less burst damage, both extremely valuable things.

Dual wielding, you keep the AS on check (15% compared to a 20% from quiver) and you get an additional socket that compensates for the fact 1h xbows hit for less.

This said, i played a lot with the 1h/quiver setup because i wasn't lucky enough to find other decent 2h weapons, and while my damage may have been less than optimal, the faster attacks let me play an easier hit and run strategy to avoid bad things from elites, dying less thus farming more efficiently.

It's about numbers, but also about playstyle.

Cannot join the clan since i'm in one already and we're all friends by a long time; still the farming runs i did were pretty awesome. Competent people, nice farming speed and if you plan targeted drops with your group it's even better. Plus fun in party chat :D

Any Idea what i should reroll?

    http://imgur.com/5ppuOne

I think rolling +10%Dmg is better(and easier) than getting a perfect Min/Max-Roll. Or should i reroll the level-reduction for Discipline? If I switch to this Nat i would lose 12 Discipline from the weapon, but get 20 Discipline from the Set Bonus. So i would end up with 68 Discipline.
I'd go with Discipline. Natalya rolls perfect every single time (it has by default DEX, dmg%, cold dmg, socket); dmg% can be higher but it's still good, and the cold damage issue will be fixed so you don't even need to reroll that.

On the other hand, level reduced is kinda useless if you don't plan to send it to an alt, and Discipline is a great resource to have (with enough of that, you can siwtch your generator with a spender and rely on Preparation/Punishment and Nightstalker for any hatred necessity).

    Can i get any ideas?
i've been trying to get better gloves and neck to replace those yellows, but so far i saved only a magefist for a possible future CA build
Eh, that yellows are only an AS affix left from being a quadrifecta - only option you really have is to drop a legendary pair because they can just roll an higher DEX value.

If someone wants to add me, my Btag is Coldkil#2265 - i farm t3/t4 rifts depending on group composition (if people is not that geared, t3 is the way). Atm if i'm not running rifts with clanmates i'm trying to gear up my HC DH (point is go get enough gear to farm t1 safely and do boss achievements).

If you see that i'm online, send a wisp and we can team up for gear.

Trying to gear up my DH but I think I am pretty much at the limit of what Kadala can help with other than the lottery of trying to get a Calamity or some slightly better pants (rolling 2x socket hates me and not sure I should waste any more shards on the ones I have 1mill per roll atm)

Long term goal would be to run druid build but seeing as I am 0/6 Marauder pieces that is likely a long way off, so until then it's generic fire. I have a 2 socket Cindercoat (could roll it to 3, current roll is decent Dex, AC, 2 socket on primary) but especially for solo play the Wolves make nice tanks which seems to help survivability a tonne.

Short term my biggest issue at the moment seems to be survivability. 780 all resist, roughly 36% dodge, 6k ish AC.

    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Malks-6865/hero/965214
Finally I'm not sure I understand the %elemental damage bug correctly. If I understand correctly, does it mean that every alternate attack made with the Daenetta essentially does no extra damage from skill modifiers? I had a bit of a look around for a decent post explaining it but not sure I was looking in the right place.
First, aim to get at least 70% reduction from all resistances (should be something around 830) and from what i see you have a very low Vitality - aim to get around 400k HP and remeber that hp% affixes boost quite a bunch the toughness value but in reality scale really bad and don't offer that much of survivability. Pay attention also to secondaries - reduced melee/ranged damage and +single resist look weak but are in fact quite powerful (just in case you manage to drop a tri or quadrifecta :D).

About the damage bug: it has nothing to do with elemntal damage affixes; TL;DR version, weapons with both +X-Y elemntal damage and +%dmg affixes are slightlòy less powerful than intended - in your specific case, since you've rolled AS on weapons, you don't need to worry about that.

Ok but the cloak now is with 2 socket, is it possible to reroll from 2 socket to 3?
yes, you can. Sockets are treated as a single affix, so you can roll up to 3 sockets in the same way youy can roll up to x% crit on an item. Chest have maximum 3, pants maximum 2, the rest (if possible) can have only one.

    Hi guys, seeking opinion here,

http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/deathweaver-1939/hero/1620844 is my profile and i had just gotten the cloak of garwulf yesterday, and i also had the beckon sail with 3 socket and 466 dex, but the downside is garwulf had movement speed which i can take out from paragon point and put more into dex, overall i calculate on paper dps is about the same so asking opinion on which will be better
The special affix of Garwulf is really powerful. If you have found that spreadsheet dps is more or less the same, Garwulf is definitely an upgrade.

    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Eric-1650/hero/41924617
Well, you have a couple of pieces like legs that have 2 stats only - you can craft much better yellow gear from blacksmith for a very quick boost. Other than that Jamoose has already said it - you need to farm for legendary items.

As a pointer, i tend to focus on all offensive stats for jewelry/gloves, since they can roll all of them. As for survival stats, give you have enough hp, go for AR/armor to boost your toughness.
